Gold is a more valuable version of silver, and yes, only in this chapter, you can exchange silver for gold, and gold for silver. 1 gold is worth 50 silver.

Diamond is the official premium currency, and some items can only be bought using diamonds. They are hard to get.

Everyone starts with absolutely no money.

1. Can you spend your silver, gold, or diamonds in other books?

No. You can only spend it in this book.

2. How do you earn silver, gold, or diamonds?

You can earn them by:

a. Adopting Pokemon. Pokemon have a 2 in 3 chance of giving you anywhere in between 10 and 40 silver. They also have a 1 in 5 chance of giving you between 2 and 4 gold, and a 1 in 50 chance of giving you 2 diamonds. (Rates now due to closing sale)

b. Participating in games and events. There will be prizes that will be silver, gold, or even diamonds.

c. Hatching eggs. Eggs will always give you anywhere between 20 and 60 silver. They also have a 2 in 7 chance of giving anywhere in between 2 and 6 gold, and a 2 in 75 chance of giving 2 diamonds. Eggs that hatch as a special pokemon have boosted odds: This egg will always give you extras. They drop 20-60 silver always, 2-6 gold 50% of the time, and 2 diamonds 10% of the time. 3. Where can I spend them?

You can spend them at the shop, which is in the next chapter.
