***Cooper's POV***
Piper ended up walking me back to camp like that the whole way. This is so embarrassing. Sure my paws burnt but still, she shouldn't have put her self through that. I'm two times her size, I don't understand where she gets the strength from. Then what's even worse is that she bandaged my paw once we got back to camp.

I don't want her worrying about about me like this. She probably feels responsible for every thing that happened thanks to Jake. I know he didn't mean anything bad by it but still. Piper was beaming with that old confidence of hers again and it went out like a light.

Right now she's cooking dinner while I lay on my sleepingbag. I can't fit in it any more so Piper put her sleepingbag on me so I don't get cold. I keep telling her that I'm fine but she doesn't listen. Now that I think about it, it's like we switched places.

Wow I most have really annoyed Piper being so protective. I'll have to thank her later and apologize for being so protective. Right as I think that Piper comes into the tent holding a bowl with soup in it.

"Hey Cooper I made you some chicken noodle soup but if you want something else I'll make it" Piper said while struggling to hold the bowl. She looks so depressed. "No its fine nurse Piper, I used to eat chicken noodle soup all the time when I was a little kid." I said smiling. She looked surprised but then put the bowl down and sat down next to it. I tilted my head as she picked up the spoon and brought it to my mouth. "Piper what are you --". She put the spoon of soup in my mouth. It was my turn to look shocked. Did she just feed me? I looked up as she was picking the spoon again.

"Piper you don't have to feed me" I tried to explain. She shook her head "nope how can you hold a spoon with your paw bandaged". I sighed and opened my mouth. I guess I don't have a choice but to let her.

Once I was done eating Piper went to check my bandages and half way through she feel asleep. I know she hasn't gotten that much sleep lately so I'm glad she's sleeping like this. The only problem is that she fell asleep on my paw.

She's so cute when she sleeps. I watch as her stomach goes up and down. Her brown fur is in knots, and her eyes have bags under them. Piper's beautiful.

I slipped my paw out from underneath her head and replace it with a pillow. Then I covered her up with her sleepingbag. Just as I was about to limp out of the tent I turn around and kissed Piper on the forehead. I wispered "Good night Piper" in her ear and limped out of the tent.

I found Jake sitting in the front of his tent. "Hey you okay?" He asked looking up at me. I nodded my head you flopped down next to him. "You know you were way to hard on her" I said. Jake looked down . "I know I had a talk with her earlier and apologized but she told me there was no reason too and everything I said was true. I really did it this time. I was just freaked out because of the fire, I wasn't thinking." Jake explained.

I look up at the sky. "Well there's no changing the past. Its just that she was finally getting back to her normal self. Its going to take some time to get her back to normal again. Why did I have to go and burn my paw anyways?" I said.

He looked at me for a few seconds. "Do you really blame yourself?" Jake asked. I didn't answer. The truth was I did blame myself. "I'm going to bed later Cooper" Jake said while walking back into his tent.

Well I don't know what to do now. I can't go back to my tent because Piper's in there. I would sleep in Piper's tent but I'm to big. I guess I'll just sleep outside my tent tonight.

I walked up to my tent and fell asleep in front of the door.

When I woke up it was around lunch time. My sleep schedule is going to be so messed up. I probably won't fall asleep until morning. Wait if I'm up now is Piper still asleep.

I limped into my tent and saw her still pasted out on the sleepingbag. Thank Arceus she's still asleep. Maybe I can carry her back to her tent. I walk up to her and try to pick her up but I can't put that much weight on my paw. Great. Piper's going to freak out bowing she feel asleep in here.

Maybe I can get Jake to help me carry her. I flop down on the ground. Right as I do Piper opens up her eyes. "Ummm good after noon Piper" I tried to say calmly.

She sat up and let out a yawn. "Oh did you come to wake me up Cooper?" Piper asked sleepy. I nodded my head "um yeah, yeah I did, it's all ready 12:30" I said.

Piper nodded and got out of her sleepingbag "I'll go make lunch then night" she said as she waddled out of the tent.

I'm so lucky. She was to tired to notice.
