The day seemed to follow a normal path, Maxwell walked Brielle to her classes, and there was always the added bonus for him of eating lunch with her. Several classes, naps, and hallway conversations later, the day was finally over, quickly Maxwell grew excited for his evening plans. He was talking her out to dinner, which was a rare treat for him, as one of them was usually busy. Maxwell moved as quickly as he could towards her locker. He walked up behind her without her giving him a single glance. Finally she looked at him, giving him a slight smile.

"Hey" he said in his usual too happy tone.

"Hey" she replied, and though Maxwell could sense that something was wrong he didn't say anything about it. He just hugged her, hoping that it would be enough. They walked down the hallway towards the exit, and though he was dying to hold her hand, he didn't try to push it. They stopped their exit for a moment to say their goodbyes to Ben and Ally. Ben locked Maxwell into a bro hug and asked the same question he always did.

"So, are you two dating yet." Maxwell shook his head as a sign that he wasn't going to answer that question, and they started heading out the door again. In a single glance, Maxwell knew something was wrong. Staring out the door, directly where his car should have been, he saw, an empty parking space.
