Being able to go back home was the best feeing Kayana had so far. Of course she was able to complete the mission and everything was fine and dandy but she really started to Miss home,and being with her close friends back in Sanguinem
Kayana and Ky were able to celebrate(nah. Ky just drank a lot of blood and got back to paperwork as his duties were calling)whilst Kayana took all their soup stocks and food and binge watched some old films on vampire technology.
I mean special jobs call for special celebrations,I mean it's not like he could have resisted a superior.

The journey back home was much shorter than the journey to the sect,as they were able to fly on choppers this time,and . The flight was filled with silence,as Kayana had fallen asleep on Ky's shoulder amd cuddled up to him as a child would their beloved parents,and couldn't be bothered to wake up for any reason as she felt as comfortable as can be.She was completely beat. All the stress and anxiety she felt from the thoughts of failure had finally been removed,and she was free again.

Upon arrival at the Russian territory,Ky shook her awake.

"Come on sleepyhead." He said,poking her cheek.

"Mhm." She responded groggily,clinging onto his arm.

"We're here,Kayana. Don't you want to get rid of those uncomfortable clothes and eat all the desserts you could ever dream of?"

And just like that,she jolted awake,stull hazy but at least excited enough to get off the copter.

Firstly,Kayana went straight to her room to change,then she moved over to congratulate all the vampires that helped her in the mission ,as they all stood in line,whilst others moved the captured humans to maximum security booths,completely chained up and immobile.

She could see the look of betrayal on the faces of those she knew . The siblings and the male she was assigned under but all she could do was look at them coldly.

'I did this because I didn't want to kill you.'

But the look of anguish on the headmastsr's face she could only shiver in disgust as she remembered how eager he was to touch her.

'Honestly,If you were hot I wouldn't mind.....But I never had that priviledge as a child,and you don't have that priviledge now.'
(She's referring to times where she's be treated differently because of her appearance as a child. Don't worry I hate favouritism too,but i've grown to accept that I just have to deal with unfair treatment because I was never as cute or as pretty as the other kids)

After she finished ,she went to report directly to the king as per request.

Urd was pleased with the success of the mission and newfound control of her powers,which she had to give a full detailed report of including information such as triggers, hindrances,any notable weaknesses etc.
The process was to be said and written but they were unfortunately interrupted by a call.
Apparently there was a meeting taking place and of course all meeting were necessary for the head to attend.

Kayana hated being involved in them but before she was able to leave,he accepted the call. Kayana froze when several pairs of eyes made contact with hers,and out of embarrassment and anxiousness she blushed and looked away.Somehow hoping that the walls could save her.

Most nobles were sitting down,files all over their desks,however she was standing,peering over Urd's shoulder,because she was previously observing the notes he had taken whilst speaking to him.Her both hands were on his shoulder.

Her outfit consisted of a plaid patterned purple shirt and brown plaid short skirt,and a pair of stiletto heels and various hair accessories,childish clothes was preferable (just guess whose influence💀.)Basically she was in no way,dressed to be a noble,but an out.of time soft girl.

Urd's eyes shifted from the screen to her,just as she was about to scram,someone spoke up.

"It's you." Spoke an accented voice. It held so much disdain,Kayana almost died on the spot.

In response to his rude greeting,She rolled her eyes and stayed silent,not knowing whether she even supposed to be there in the first place,she just shrunk and hid behind Urd's head,only smiling minisculy when Ferid waved through the screen.

Lest,being the one to speak up against him,said.

"Hush now Lucal. She is your superior whether you like it or not,have respect." He said coldly.

"But wh-

"That goes for the majority of you also."

"Right righ,I apologize Lord Karr."He said sarcastically. She could tell he was a pain in the ass and glared at him. He returned the nasty glare.

Krul then spoke up.

"Okay,so this meeting was called to discuss the results of Lady Shiona and Lord Luc's mission. Was it completed?"

Ky glanced at Kayana briefly . She took this as a "Not it." Look,and gave him a silent glare. She then proceeded to speak,brushing back her purple locks.

"Yes Kru- your majesty,It was completed,and very successful. We were able to capture 5 humans for observation. 2 being intelligence officers and 3, the actual experiments. Ky- Lord Luc and I gathered all experiment-related data,including soft-copys and hard-copys. Then burned the buildings down,leaving no trace or anything that could be used to continue the sect."

She concluded her answer at that point,opting to not reveal anything else about the mission.

Her gaze stayed on the queen,yet she could see a smirking Ferid in the corner of her eye.

"And everyone was dead?"

"Correct."

"...."

Urd shifted to the side to provide a space for her to sit,which she did silently. Her eyes made contact with his impassive gaze as a wordless 'thank you.'

"Ah,so much so as I expected. I suppose I did raise you well." Krul gloated.

Kayana resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the queen,and nodded instead,not failing to notice the unimpressed Lest. Krul basically threw her into the hands of Ferid ,and she was more familiar with the nobles in Europe than her own queen.

"I believe her training was done in the hand of Lord Crowley,and Lord Luc." He said coldly,sending the queen a sharp glare.

"So don't act like this little project was successful because of you,onto other pressing matters."

"No,I apologize for interrupting you my Lord,but where did this girl come from and who is she.I find it quite hard to believe Lord Luc would work besides her,Lord Geales would sit besides her and she just happens to be strong enough to fight off magic users."Interrupted.

She shifted in her seat,pursing her lips.

"The name's Kayana Shiona. Idk where the hell I come from,or why the hell I'm here. I just follow orders,Sir.Now please leave me along,no one has time for your nonsense." She said simply,trying to push over he own annoyance.

Urd sighed at this,sensing the agitation from the counsel,who probably didn't like her attitude towards them,as they were indeed fools,and lacked knowledge of her rank,and she was tired,frustrated and not in the mood to be tolerant.

He ,however also had no intentions of revealing her identity to them as they had more important things to discuss.

However the two rulers were still having their own glare down.

He simply ignored them and discussed what he needed to. Kayana only paid attention enough to piece together the conversation but they were conversing about Seraph,amongst other things.

Later that day,Kayana found herself ballroom dancing with a female livestock.

Lest had taken a while to arrive,but he decided to congratulate her in person.

In the meantime,she busied herself with learning some cool tricks.

"Oh!It feels nice when you spin me." She cheered,laughing lightly.

"I know right,It's always fun!"

The gurl's name was Carol,she was extremely sweet and patient and had actually been the one to approach Kayana one dear course it was a game of truth or dare and she was dared to speak to her.

She was quite scared,and even regretted her decision.
However she soon found the noble to be quite friendly,and funny.

They became friends,somewhat.

"U-urd....are you sure?"

"You earned it."

"Well,I suppose I couldn't refuse your generous offer...."

With a gracious smile,she refused his wrist,instead putting a hand on his collar.

"Oh,here let me unbutton this."

Urd skillfully undid his shirt.

She smirked.

"You did that so eagerly,my king."

Kayana chuckled and crawled onto him,straddling his waist,she looked up at him with a mischievous smirk

"You sure do get away with alot of things,don't you Kayana?" He deadpanned.

"What can I say," She shrugged,sending a wink his way.

She placed a hand against his chest and another in his hair.

"I'm going to bite you now.Try not to cry."

"Go ahead."

She let her lips graze his skin,then she gently bit down on it,once the taste of his blood hit her tongue she moaned a bit,savoring it's heavenly,rich taste.

He rested his hands at his sides,clenching the sheets.

The warm liquid helped soothe her parched throat,and the immediate effects were felt,as she felt her whole body regain energy and life again.
It felt amazing.

"How was your first big mission,by the way?" He asked casually.

For a second she stopped.

"It actually wasn't too bad...I was just a bit nervous though I really didn't want to mess up and let you down.

"Well you didn't,you did an excellent job.I am quite satisfied with your performance and so is Lord Lest. "

"You're so amazing.Thank you,I could have never done it without the training you provided for me and the encouragement you gave me."

The king nodded his head,with a small smile.

"It was no problem, Kayana.Perhaps your parents were not the best,but they clearly didn't see the you we all do. You were always so timid and unconfident in yourself,but now look at you.Growing and learning,like you should be."

A bit taken aback by his words she sat back up.

"Wait,do you really mean that?"

"Yes. Do you question my honesty?"He sounded serious,yet you could tell he was joking.

"Well,yes. It's just that it really means alot to me,especially from the KING."

She laughed slightly,diving in for a hug.

"Haha,I love you guys soon so so much!"

She buried her head in his neck,and rested it there,breathing in his scent.

Urd hesitantly put his arms around her waist,face still devoid of emotione. However, odd as it was,he did feel slight warmth.

"I've not been embraced with this much delight on centuries..." he commented

"Mhm,I would hug you more but I don't want to overstep my boundries. You guys have put up with me for so long,and I honestly what to repay you in any way I can,so if being successful in these missions is what you want,then I'd gladly do it...again."

"I don't doubt that you will,dear. You are an intelligent and independent woman,I can always trust you to be loyal,right?"

"Yes." She asserted.

"Good girl,you are welcomed to stay the night if you please,or would you rather spend it with Lord Luc?"

"Well we have not really conversed much..."

"And that's because you seem to be so infatuated with him."

"Haha,no. " she awkwardly laughed,

"It's not infatuation...it's just curiosity? I mean I never really had affection in my life and to be very honest I crave it."

You sighed when he hummed.

"What was it like?Modern day human life?"

"Ah,well It...to be very honest. Kind of was disgusting. You see,there is a country that has a history of destroying,killing,enslaving and oppressing others. They wiped out nations,ended civilizations and discriminated against people,yet they still held so much power. They stole created alot of customs,and then whizzed around and decided to change it."

"It's complicated,but perhaps it all happened for a reason. I doubt any natives are even alive any more,but even in school they had power over us. I always felt uncomfortable when they spoke about certain topics because everyone would look at me when certain things were discussed. I felt....so low.And then I was bullied and my mother was so....unloving?I don't know. Perhaps I am being a baby,but it just wasn't pleasant for me.I like it much better being here."

"Vampires at least,have some level of sanity,self-respect and discipline.They follow rules because they know it keeps them in check.However humans are just completely brainwashed by garbage,a system that is made for the great to prosper off of the not so great's failures,we take more than they are able to give,and never share. "

"Ah,so humans were still disgustingly destructive?"

"Yes."

"Pity."

He slowly sat up,startling her a bit,but she held on.

"Hm,So you still feel emotions?Do you resent people for what they did?"

"Yes. I always have,even before I became a vampire...."

"Ah,I see.That's good to know. "

"Perhaps I should converse with you more,now that you are older and more mature,I think I find it quite pleasant to speak with you,amd what about that demon of yours?Kazu?"

"Yup."

"Where is he?"

"Sleeping. He rests around this hour sometimes."

"Mhm. He isn't ordinary demon,isn't he?"

"No,he isn't....at least well I'm not sure. I mean is is able to appear physically in the real world without possessing...but other than that."

"He can be attained by a vampire.."

"Right but I'm only half a vampire,and even I don't know how that happened. It's not like he ever spoke to me before ,and even if he did I probably mistook him tor my conscious. "

"That's understandable,I see well get some rest now. I have work to finish,you can stay for the night if you like."

"Thanks."

(For those who didn't notice.Kayana isn't mentally stable and has always had a self destructive way of coping with her own feelings.Even as a kid,realizing the truth early in life destroyed her trust in life as a whole. )
