It hadn't been long since Kayana was put into the clear,and whilst waiting for Ky to wake up,her mind wondered off to think about the blonde vampire she left behind.She hoped for the best,and by best she meant Ferid leaving him alone.

To be very honest Kayana avoided Mikaela at all costs at first.She didn't know how he felt about her not coming to save his family that night and he was also quite aware of her taking a liking to Ferid.The very man he absolutely despised.

So of course the girl would go the opposite direction of him,and avoid him like a plague.The boy was set up,had his family killed and turned into the very species his beloved brother despises against his own will .

Then,there was a day where she was hanging out with Lacus whilst he was off of patrol. Like no other,Sanguinem was dull. The area in which they occupied lacked human presence as the children were scared of the noble and her purple haired companion.

It worked for them though,as moments alone were what they enjoyed most.

Whilst they were busy chatting with each other Mikaela approached the two silently,with a face devoid of emotion.

"Lacus,Stop. You know I play mariocart better than you. You can't even fly a plane properlyyy."

r"You know damn well I can." He snapped back,flicking her head.

"Wh-

"Kayana." Suddenly,a soft yet cold voice interrupted them both.

They both stopped conversing,and turned towards the culprit.

"Oh,Look its the newbie." He mocked.

Kayana tilted her head in confusion ,but still offered the small boy a smile.

"Mika,hey. What's up sweetie?" She asked,looking at the smaller boy.

Mikaela's cold blue eyes went from hers to Lacus' then to her's again.

"May I speak to you,alone."

Her reaction was a bit delayed. She really thought he wouldn't want anything to do with her.

"Sure."

She turned to Lacus who was now pouting.

"You rather spend time with that blonde boy than me?If I didn't know any better I'd say you're just like Lord Ferid." He sputtered.

"He-

"Don't even compare her to that bastard."

Again ,you were shocked.

"Oh,I....uh thanks Mika. Ayy look at the time,sorry Lacus,I gotta go,Okay." She leaned down and placed a kiss on cheek.

Leaving him to pout even more,and with a craving he felt annoying. This was supposed to be their day to spend timmeeee.

"Oh well,might as well find something else to amuse myself."

Mikaela was quite short compared to her. Though it has been some time since the accident has happened,he hadn't gotten his growth spurt as yet and he still had a baby face.

Still,she offered to lift him up,because he was still very very cute. However,he declined.

Perhaps,Kayana should have thought this over.This Mika wasn't the same. This Mika was no longer the hopeful innocent boy she once knew.

"Kayana....No Lady Kayana." He called,suddenly stopping in his tracks.

She followed him,yet she questioned his use of formality. The air around them felt thin,and a chilly breeze swept by,ruffling his blonde locks.

"Hm?" She responded,feeling an awkward tension rise.

"..."

His fists clenched,and he looked up at her.This time,she saw tears in his eyes,and anguish. This made her give him her full attention.

"Did...did you know?A-about....t-the plan?" He asked slowly.

This ,took her off guard .

"If I knew....no. Ferid never tells me his plans....I mean,he's so secretive and avoided every question I asked.I knew he was plotting something,but I didn't know what. And he kept me locked in the room,so even when I tried to follow him,I couldn't....It's...it's just so frustrating,because....why. What even was the point of him doing that.... It just makes no sense to me. Make no mistake,Ferid is a bastard ,but he must of had a reason ...."

Whilst she ranted on,she didn't see Mikaela come closer to her,and hug her waist,eyes clouded with his own tears.

"I-I never doubted you,Kayana. I just knew you weren't in on it,but I'm sorry I was hoping at least some part of you could be guilty so I put shoulder the blame on someone else.... Yet,You warned me. You warned me. And I was so naive....I'm so stupid so so so so so so stupid....dammit." he muttered.

She watched the young vampire break down in her presence,opting to kneel to hug him herself,placing a comforting hand in his hair whilst he expressed his frustrations.

'Oh Mika,if only you knew. This man has me by the hair....I don't know if I would have told you if I knew.Maybe I secretly did,and didn't care enough. Greedy people such as myself only take action when it affects us. So many times we know about a coming storm,but only take precautions when it kills,or threatens our existence. I'm so needy for affection I'd let that man run me over with a car and still crawl back to him,like the stupid love struck girl I am.
Whether this is love,or simply an obsession,I wouldn't know. Perhaps it's his blood I thirst after ,or the fact that he was the first person to she me what it's like to be cared for,despite it being a facade. It was more than I'd ever gotten.'

"You may have been abandoned by your family in the past,but somehow you found a way to fit in,and you were surrounded by children who experienced the same fate. You took care of them,had their love and attention,yet my worthless soul was ignored,I was bullied,I was neglected,I had a worthless father. Despite all you went through,Mika. You pulled through and yet I am here bitter and needy.Then Ferid...Ferid broke you....but I wouldn't let that be. Never,not after how kindly you and your sibling treated me.Even with the little food you had,they offered me some....and that is just amazing. Even amidst all this chaos....you all kept each other happy"

She took his cheeks in her hand,wiping his tears,and smiling brightly at him.

"Mikaela Hyakuya. I sincerely apologize.....for not being there for you when you needed me the most,but I will surely try my best to make amends. You can hate me,you can want me dead,but I will not give up on you. I was here once. No family,no friends all alone in this vampire world,but I will not leave you..."

Since then,her relationship with Mika has grown steadily.Of course at first there was that awkward tension,however it diminished with time as they spent more time together.

He goes to seek her company when he feels irritated,sad or annoyed,and does not necessarily like her being so close to Ferid at all,feeling fearful of him doing to her as he did to his family.

He always remembered so vividly,that day where she tried to stop those guards from hurting the children,and Ferid joined her. The first day he ever met her.

Despite being to Ferid's mansion often,he never saw her much,besides when they spemt time together pr when she came for blood.He was confused by her appearance but never took much notice of it,shrugging her off as a nobody.

After all,his mission was to get the Noble to like him,not some random girl.

Perhaps he would have had a better chance being closer to the random girl rather than the vicious lavender haired man.
