Kayana's pov

After I woke up Kazu took me back to the gloomy forest we'd usually meet in.

He perched himself up on a tree and idly played with a snake dangling from a branch above.

"Ferid Bbathory eh~"

I scoffed at the name although after I yelled at him...I kinda felt bad but still!He keeps lying to me!UGHHG

"What about him?" I asked casually caressing a flower.A dark rose with thorns to be more precise.The beauty and the danger behind it.

"You really do misunderstand him, y'know." He said closing his eyes.

"Be more precise." I snapped.

"What do you think of him?"

A raven flew onto my shoulder.The sign if death.This animal is the sign.

"He...I..don't know."

I sighed and leaned up on the tree.

"What or rather who do you think you are to him?"

"His pawn.A useless dog whose chains he tuggs at."

A chilly wind blew by and the raven flew away.

"Is that so?After all you two've done.I feel your soul waver when you kiss y'know.You love him,perhaps?"

"Wait!But when that other purple haired one let's you drink.It wavers too and you always blush around the boring guy with the badass haircut."

"Well,at least I know you aren't in-love with that Bathory guy.He's pretty dangerous.He has the queen where he wants her.She made a big mistake letting him go after tgat stunt he pulled of... but as for your personal matters..."

"Kazu stop beating around the bush."There wasn't enough energy left in me for this.I stared into his light brown eyes.

"This is serious."

"I know it's hard for you to trust Ferid but as far as I've seen,he is the safest person to stay with.I could tell by the way he acts differently with you.He cares for you.He wouldn't let you die.As much as he is an asshole sometimes he really cares.I'm telling you this for a reason.You've met before.That all hasn't been revealed to me as yet but He confirmed my suspicions.Don't ask questions cause I don't have answers but what you do is up to you.You and your friend better talk out your issues."

"On another note.Be careful cause your growing soft.When you break.I will devour you.I will possess you."

"Bye."

I was cut off by the sound of my tv screen going off.

"Incoming call from Urd Geales."

Just the man I needed to speak to.
Shiro woke up at the beeping but I paid no mind to him.I pressed the accept button and his face appeared on the screen.I could see he was also in his room.We had casual conversations so it wasn't anything new.

"Good night ,your majesty." I greeted with a warm smile.He, ofcourse didn't return the smile but nodded instead.

"Lady Kayana." He responded.

"What is it you desire,Gorgeous?"

"I need you to come up here as soon as you can." He said emotionlessly.Twas like a living doll,almost lifeless as he spoke.His tone never changing and his expression remaining the same.

As of now.A break from Sanguinem seems good to me.It has been at least a year.

"I'll leave tomorrow."
Broken bonds can be fixed.That's what my mother told me and also I need to convinve Lest to let me infiltrate the army .

He hummed and looked to turn off the screen.Odd.

"Wait!" He spared a questioning glance.

"You're acting out of it.What's the matter?"

"Annoyed is all." He said simply.His bored eyes landing on Shiro's now sleeping figure.

"That makes us both.Today was one if those oddly irritating days."

He hummed in agreement.His posture alone told me he wasn't in the mood for long conversations.

"Well...Since you aren't in the mood for idle chit chat I'll leave you to gather your thoughts." I concluded while smiling warmly.

"Thank you.Do get some rest."

He's so polite!

I had started packing my clothes,gadgets,wepons and etc.Twas the next day.Ferid was nowhere in sight so I couldn't go apologizing...again.Ugh!
I'm such a horrible person!I can't believe how many times I've taken him for granted.He lies,is a murderer but who am I to judge.I murder (Don't murder plz.) and I lie.He's a pervert but ...in this world.How many kids have raped.Honestly.I shouldn't have reacted that way.I should have talked to him about it.Not to memtion I freaking barged into his freaking BATHROOM! and while he was naked!IGHHHHHH.I'M AN IDIOT.AN IDIOT.AN IDIOT.AN IDIOOTTTTT.

"Lacus!Rene!" I knocked on their room door.I heard the shuffling on the other side.

The door opened and as usual a shirtless Lacus was behind it.

"Hm?" He rubbed his eyes is a childish manner.

"May I enter?" I questioned.

"Yeah,sure." He carelessly said.
I smiled wryly and entered.

Rene was on his bed reading a book.

"Came for blood?" Rene asked.

I nodded.

"Also...I wouldn't be back for at least a year.If you two could fill a supply of your blood for me...that'd be pretty great."

"A supply?"Lacus echoed.

"Yeah,I'll be infiltrating the demon army soon.I'd need some."

He smirked and moved some of his purple hair.

"Going to drain the lost cattle?" He teased.

I moved to sit down next to Rene.

"Not exactly.I'm going to spy on them."

I undid the top buttons on his shirt while he continued to read his book .

"Spy...but there's no fun in that!"

I giggled and ruffled his hair gently.

"You're so sweet and pure yet a little sadist devil at the same time.I'd prefer having you as a brother over Shiro at any day ."

Lacus blushed slightly as he gave a closed eyed smile.

"If I can.I'll bring back a live-stock for you." I added.

I turned back to Rene.

"I don't know what you'd like,Rene.Another book,perhaps?"

"Nothing really."

"Typicall Rene."

I sighed and began taking my blood servings.

"Your blood is sweeter today.Mhm~"

"Wha!My blood is sweet too!" Lacus whined folding his arms.

"Yeah,but the last time I drank from you...I got a bit drunk and tried to...rape you....."

It's along story no one will ever hear..It will stay with me forever.

"Oh yeah~How is that even possible?" He replied.

"I think it's human desire.Lust mixed with greed.I get that alot when I drink your blood."

He smirked and lowered his head to meet my gaze.

"You lust for me?"

WHA!

"No.The human part of me lusts for you.For what reason I don't know."

Confusion was written all over his face.

"Do you feel the same way with Rene?"

I shrugged and bit Rene again.

When I tasted the blood,I felt no strong desires other than greed.The want to drink and drink and drink.

"No.I only feel greed."

After lapping up running blood I sat up straight.

"So...how do we figure out why I feel that way?"

"I have an idea but you might not like it that much seeing as you still have human emotions."Rene spoke up while closing his book and placing it down.
He stood up .

Oh!I love it when he's Professor Rene!

"Do tell." I pulled out random glasses and pushedvthem up Will style.(#nomoreovertime)

"I have a few theories.It could be your blood preferences.Just like human with food there are foods you'd like hate and eat just for eating sake.

2.You may be attracted to Lacus but as far as you said you don't feel much other than greed and lust.Not even love for him in the human aspect.

3. It could just be physical lust and not you lusting for his blood."

"If it were physical would I not be desperate and have it towards almost every male including you?"

I didn't have a reaction to Ferid....so I don't think it's physical.

"Well we'll just test out that theory.Lacus you try cause I have duty now."

"Hmmmm~M'kay."

wtf were we even doing? Oh!Trying to understabd my emotions.Vampires don't usually express many but I'm half human and a pureblood.

I didn't even see or realise when Lacus got in-front of me.Our noses were touching and I felt all my senses go numb as he unexpectedly ran one of his hands throught my hair.It was not rough but light and gentle and his hands were so cold.

"How do you feel?" He asked with a curious yet teasing tone.

"Light headed."

He moved closer pressing his bare chest was pressed against mine.I gulped when he chuckled softly.

"That only?"

His other hand settled under my chin and his fingers tilted my head up .I stared into his ruby red eyes that showed amusement.The way he looked at me was like love .Fake love.

It was only a test to see why I react differently to him so I knew already it wasn't actual love.Still though,I would have been happy even with fake love.The love my parents gave me was what you would call nonexistant.

He pressed his lips onto mine gently.
I felt...nothing?

"Aren't you going to push me off?I just stole a kiss from you~"

We could all agree that I didn't want his body.
So pushing him off was what I did.

"This is all bullshit.I know the answer.I was very thirsty and that solves everything."

He pouted .

"What?You didn't like it?I thought I was a good kisser."

Cue an eyeroll from me

"You are but I need to finish packing.I'm leaving for Europe again."

"Hah?Why!?"

"Have some things to deal with."

"But can't you just video conference?"

"No you silly noodle..I have to go there to run some tests."

"But you can just do that here."

"Ughhh.Lacuss-chaannnn!I wanna stay tooo but I gotta go."

He's older than me though.I should be whining

"Wellll fffiiinnneeeeeee.But make sure and bring me a present!"

"No.Bye~"

I hadn't seen Ferid all morning which I was kinda sad at.I mean...I should apologize but anyway I have more important things to do.

I barged into the throne room of the queen.I took no notice of the meeting in progress.

"Krul?"

"What is it Kayana?" she asked nonchalantly.

"I just wanted to inform you that I wi-

"Who the hell do you think you are barging into a council meeting with such a lack of respect."

Wtf?

I turned my attention to the screens which I failed to notice before.Indeed it was the progenitor council and Parthe was the one to address me in such a hostile way.

"Um...sorry?Pardon the intrusion I wouldn't be long."

Parthe wasn't pleased so he continued.

"I believe I asked who you-

"Leave her be Parthe." Lest interupted.

"Wha-

"What is it you wanted?" Urd Geales cut through them both.I feel like a child....

"Uh...I just needed to tell Queen Krul about my departure...and she she wanted me to deliver or do anything while there..."

He talks and looks different when he speaks with the council.He's waaay mkre intimidating and his posture is perfect and elegant.He screams authority.

"Where will you be going?" Krul inquired.

"Europe."

ok ok.I know you want to hurry and get to the storyline but here's what.This show and manga is messed up cause baes are killing baes .I just need to make sure this character is in a position.A good position and also there aren't many Fanfucs for this anime.I wanna make surebit's nice and long so by the time it's done.U wanna read it again .
