It Never Happened
Genevieve had never once in her life ever thought about eating wood, but she was starting to consider that now. It's been two days since her and Peter kissed and since she saw actual daylight. She was starving and the wooden cage didn't;t sound like a bad snack at the moment. But her hopes sparked when she heard voice outside of her cage late at night.
"Shh!" The person snapped as they walked over to the cages.
The next thing Genevieve knew she was outside standing up and taking a deep breath. She put her hands on her knees and sighed loudly in relief.
"Genevieve are you okay?" It was Baelfire and next to him was a young girl no older than 11 or 12.
"What are you guys doing here? Where's Henry?" She asked softly.
Baelfire bites his lip. "Pan still has him, he's taking him to skull rock. Regina and Emma managed to track him down we're gonna go over there now." He said.
Genevieve nods and looked at the girl. "I'm Genevieve." She said.
The girl gave her a small smile. "I'm Wendy, Wendy Darling." He said in a thick British accent.
Just like the movie. Genevieve thought.
Baelfire looked at Wendy. "The Lost Boys are all at camp tied up stay there and we'll go save Henry and come back for you." He said.
Wendy nodded and headed towards the camp and Genevieve looked at Bae. "Well lead the way." She said softly biting her lip.
Baelfire nods and he took off towards the beach on the other side of the island. "You love him don't you?" He asked.
"Who?" Genevieve asked.
"Peter." He said and continued to run.
"Yes I do...but I know it won't be able to happen." She said softly.
Baelfire was quiet for a moment but then he looked back at her. "Things will get easier." He said.
"I highly doubt it. I know what's wrong with him. All power dies and his is coming to an end." She said.
"That's why he needs Henry right? To live?" She asked.
Baelfire nodded and he looked ahead. "Yeah, He needs the heart if the Truest Believer and that just so happens to be my son." He said.
Genevieve nodded in understanding. "I know....I don't blame you for doing this. It's either him or Henry." She said softly.
Baelfire nodded and once they reached the beach he grabbed a boat and they started rowing to skull rock. It wasn't long before they reached the shore but once they got there, there was a bunch of bright light coming from the inside.
"Emma?! What's going on?" Bae asked.
Emma and Regina were using magic to try and break a barrier but it was very strong.
"Gold! He's in there with Pan and Henry and we're trying to break this barrier Pan put up." Regina replied,
Genevieve bit her lip and all she could was watch. It wasn't like she was her powers were any stronger than Regina or Emma. After much patience they finally made it through just as Henry gave Peter his heart. Henry collapsed as soon as his heart went into Pan's chest and for a moment there was a lot of shouting. But Genevieve just stared at Peter who looked at her and smirked as he flew away.
"We need to get Henry's heart back now." She said turning to the others.
The rest nodded at her and departed to go get Henry's heart. Genevieve had other plans she was going to get the Lost boys and move them onto The Jolly Roger so that the other could meet her there. She had other plans for Peter. She knew for a fact that he'd find a way to get to Stroybrooke and she was determined to get the evil out of him no matter what.
It took a long time for the other to finally arrive but when they did they were off back to Storybrooke and much to Genevieve's relief there was no sign of Pan just yet. When they arrived at Storybrooke everyone was there to greet them with happy faces and cries of excitement.
Genevieve among them was alone sadly. With all her friends missing including her once rotten sister she had no one. "Hey, Why so upset?" Henry asked when he got off of the boat.
"Everyone that I care about is gone." She mumbled.
Henry simply nodded. "Sorry about that." He mumbled and walked away.
What was his problem? Something seemed off a bout Henry but she wasn't going to ask. Something in her pocket made it feel like a brick was thrown into her jacket and she dug her hand into her pocket and pulled out a key. A small bronze key that was in the shape of a triangle. But there was no bottom the part that is used to unlock the door was gone it was just the top and stem.
"What the-" But she stopped herself all of it suddenly coming back to her. Fiona had told her that riddle a while back she never thought she'd actually needed to use it since, according to Regina, Maleficent was already dead. She twirled it around in her hand and then shoved it back in her pocket. Something is missing.
Genevieve walked away from the crowds of welcome and she walked to her house thinking about what that riddle was she had to remember it didn't she? She remembered it back when she went to go save Aurora. Then it came back.
The darkest soul can only be healed by the essence of love, the frozen heart can only be thawed with the essence of love, the loved one can only be saved by the essence of love and sacrifice.
Of course it was love. She saved Aurora because she was her best friend because she loved her. Genevieve was willing to drop everything to save Henry because he was her friend and because she loved him. It all made sense to her now! Which meant that Peter Pan was the darkest soul. That she would have to free his body from that wretched monster that consumed him in order to see where the key leads. That's exactly how she was going to do it.
Or at least she thought so. Genevieve soon started to realize that they left Peter on Neverland to die and that broke her heart. But how was she supposed to get the rest of the key? Why did it start to appear to her now if she can't complete the rest of that riddle?
Fiona wouldn't have given me this riddle if she knew I couldn't do it. Which means Peter is here...I just have to find him. He thoughts were cut off when bumped into someone.
"Sorry-" Felix and Henry. Why on Earth would they ever be talking to each other did they somehow bond over the course of plotting his murder?
"Watch where you're going." Felix barked at her which caused her skin to crawl.
"Shut up." She said and moved aside watching them walk by they returned to their conversation as they headed towards the town line.
She decided to go ahead and follow them she might as well have known what was going on and she sighed softly to herself and followed them all the way into the woods and when they finally stopped she hid behind a tree.
There was a lot of mumbling and she could barely hear but she did manage to understand that Henry was actually Peter, which is why she was upset also a little relieved that she finally had some answers.
Though Felix had been so rude to Genevieve she couldn't help but feel bad for him. He had devoted all his life to Peter Pan only to have his heart ripped out and as it happened Genevieve looked away.
The sound of his body hitting the floor made her sick to her stomach and she started to run. Though Genevieve had forgotten Peter isn't as stupid as he looks. He appeared right in front of her and smirked. "Nice try!" He said and with a wave of his hand she collapsed.
Waking up later on was the worst feeling in the world. She was sick and dizzy and she had to tell everyone else about Peter. She got up and started stumbling to Storybrooke. When she made it to the town square she was mortified. It was Rumpelstiltskin and the actual Peter Pan standing in front of each other and there was a crowd of people there.
Genevieve ran, she sprinted over there because she knew what this meant. They were going to fight to the death the only way to get rid of Peter or so they think but Genevieve knew there was another way.
When she got there she stood near Emma and looked at them "Wait!" She said. Everyone looked at her in shock but she just ignored them. "There has to be another way! We can figure-"
Gold never let her finish he simply waved his hand over all of them and they froze. She listened and watched everything. She watched Gold and Pan talk back and forth and she watched as Gold drove the dagger into Peter and himself killing them both. When Gold and Pan were finally dead they unfroze and Genevieve felt just as miserable as everyone else did but not because of Gold, because of Peter because she never got to save him the proper way.
"Genevieve-" "No! I knew a better way! I knew something else! Something different!" She cried. "They would have both lived!" She screamed at Emma and took off running. She didn't have anywhere in particular to go so the Library was her nearest choice and she ran in and sat down and cried.
While she was crying Genevieve felt something weigh down her pocket again and she sat up and fished out the key. It was completed! But how on earth? She looked at the Elevator in the library and it began to glow and she knew. She didn't know how it appeared or how she even managed to complete the task. But the pure magic was there. Genevieve advanced towards the door and put the key inside and turned it and she opened the door and walked in.
It was bright and everything was white and for a minute Genevieve though she fell down the elevator shaft to her death. But then she saw her. Fiona. She wasn't alive but she looked it.
You did it. Her voice spoke in her mind.
Genevieve smiles at her. I know....but what do I do now? With the magic?
Fiona motioned her over to a table containing a box and she handed it to Genevieve. Close your eyes and open it and make a wish. This magic has the power to give you anything.
Genevieve picked up the box and she turned to look at Fiona but she was gone. She shrugged it off and closed her eyes opening the box and making her wish. The perfect wish. When she was done she closed the box and opened her eyes and there standing in front of her was what she wished for.
Marie, Bianca, Reese, and Peter Pan himself. They all stood there looking at her and smiling. The in her head they spoke. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up.
Genevieve did wake up. She was being smacked with a pillow and someone was yelling in her hear. "WAKE UP!" groaning she looked at the person and saw her little sister Maria.
Genevieve swatted her away and fell back to sleep. "Can I watch TV now you've been watching you fairy tales all day!" She said crossing her arms. Genevieve's eyes snapped open and she sat up and looked at her TV the home screen for her favorite TV show was one. Once Upon a Time.
She looked at Maria was was pouting and nodded tiredly and a little upset. "Yeah go ahead." She whined and lays right back down on the couch screaming into a pillow.
It was just a dream Genevieve, it never happened. She told herself.
