Then came the dark
A simple remark
That would plant the seeds of deceit
And then came the defeat,
I was not the only one
And in a single moment, the person I had become,
Was gone.

But this is not a story of how you broke me
It's about the person hiding within that you did not see
That person was me.

You ripped me from my own mascarade,
And as the pain did fade,
Something was left behind,
Something I had to find.
