You had always liked (crush) since the day you met them, they were always so kind and caring to you... Unlike your 'friends'.
Your 'friends' would always talk down towards you and always make decisions for you, you don't like the decisions they make for you but they were only friends you have left, so you listen to them.
Today was no different, one of yours 'friends', the ringleader was telling you to cancel your date with (crush).
