He admired the powerful creature from a distance, his heart pounding as he watched the alpha drink deeply from the refreshing water. Vicky, having quenched his thirst, moved towards Sachi, who was resting under a large oak tree. Their eyes locked, and Vicky touched his snout to Sachi's, closing his eyes and forming a mind-link.

"Don't you trust me?" Vicky's voice echoed in Sachi's mind, filled with pain.

Sachi closed his eyes, struggling against the human voice inside him, Adiraj, who protested vehemently. But Sachi trusted his mate, the alpha, more than anything else. "Alpha, I trust you with my life," he whined softly, nuzzling Vicky's cheek.

Vicky moved closer, his warm breath caressing Sachi's neck as he licked the scent gland gently. "Then why are you pushing me away?" he asked, his voice tender yet filled with desperation. Sachi rolled onto his back, exposing his belly in a gesture of submission. "Mera insaan sahi keh raha hai alpha.. aap mere kabhi nahi ho sakte... meri majburi samjhiye!"
(My human side is right, Alpha... you can never be mine... please understand my helplessness!)

Vicky, now on top of him, looked deeply into Sachi's eyes before gazing up at the half-moon. "Par main sirf tumhara hun, moon goddess ne kuch soch kar he hume mates banaya hai!" he said with conviction.
(But I am only yours; the Moon Goddess must have had a reason for making us mates!)

Sachi panted under the alpha's weight but cherished the contact. "K-kabhi kabhi halat aise hote hai, ki mates ke liye ek dusre ke saath rehna sambhav nahi hota... Aap royal ho.. aapko royals ke saath hi rehna chahiye... kisine aapko mujh jaise bewarish wolf ke saath dekh liya, toh aapke parivaar ki reputation mitti main mil jayegi.." he said, his voice filled with sorrow as he exposed his neck further in complete submission.
(S-sometimes circumstances are such that it becomes impossible for mates to stay together... You are royal; you should be with royals... If someone sees you with a stray wolf like me, your family's reputation will be ruined...)

"Tum chate ho main tumhe chhod dun?" Vicky asked, licking Sachi's exposed neck.

Tears filled Sachi's eyes as he nodded, his heart breaking. "M-main aapke laayak nahi hun," he whimpered, baring his neck as much as he could.
(I-I am not worthy of you.)

"Do you really want me to leave? Can't you give me another chance?" Vicky's voice was desperate, his inner human, Aashish, fighting to stop him from marking Sachi right then and there.

Sachi looked up with confused puppy eyes. "K-kaisa chance chahiye aapko, Alpha?"
(W-what kind of chance do you want, Alpha?)

"Can you please kiss me once? And if we don't find any connection, I will never ask for it again," Vicky pleaded, his eyes filled with longing. Shyly, Sachi suggested, "M-mera saath pani main chaliye..." He jumped into the natural pool of the waterfall, transforming back into his human form, Adiraj.
(C-come with me into the water...)

Vicky followed, leaping into the water and shifting into his human form, Aashish. He pushed his wet hair back from his face, wanting to see Adiraj clearly. He moved towards him, the water swirling around them.

Adiraj stood with water up to his chest, his knees feeling weak as he prepared to share his first kiss with his mate.

Aashish stood before him, the water reaching his waist. "What is your age?", he asked softly, wanting to know everything about the one who had captured his heart.

"Fifteen", Adiraj answered, blushing a bright red.

The alpha hesitated, "Are you sure you want me to kiss you? You are a kid right now!"

Adiraj sighed softly, watching the moonlight dance on the surface of the water as Aashish stood beside him. "Princess Kavya is eighteen and of age... Aapko unke saath connection check karna chahiye," he murmured, his voice heavy with sadness.

Aashish gently held his chin, turning his face to meet his gaze. "I don't want any princess. I only want you," he declared earnestly, leaning closer until their lips were mere inches apart. "Can I?" Adiraj closed his eyes, a smile tugging at his lips as Sachi squealed with joy inside him. He nodded slightly.

Aashish didn't hesitate; he closed the gap between them, their lips meeting under the water's surface. Their naked bodies pressed together, and Vicky was elated beyond words.

Adiraj surrendered completely to his alpha, feeling a deep sense of happiness and contentment for the first time in his life. He held onto Aashish's shoulders to steady himself in the water.

Breaking the kiss, the Prince intertwined their fingers and rested their foreheads together. "So mila connection?" he asked softly.

Adiraj, still reeling from the kiss, squeezed their intertwined hands. "J-ji," he managed to say, his mind filled with Sachi's joyful celebration. (Y-yes.)

As the two mates reveled in their newfound connection, unaware of prying eyes secretly photographing them.

Sometime later, as they lounged by the water, Sachi already having played to his fill with Aashish's wolf form. Adiraj laid on his back beside his mate, enjoying the moonlight. They were naked, having taken a quick dip few minutes earlier.

"Prince... ek baat puchhne ki ijazat denge?" Adiraj's voice was curious, looking beautiful under the moon's gentle glow.

"Hmm pucho!" Aashish replied, gazing at him with adoration.

"A-aapke wolf ka naam kya hai?" Adiraj asked shyly.
(W-what is your wolf's name?)

"Mere wolf ka naam Vikram hai! Main usse Vicky bulata hun....tumhare wolf ka naam kya hai? " Aashish inquired gently.

"Savyasachi... Woh khudko Sachi bulata hai... but bohot shararti hai.. I hope... usne Alpha Vicky ko pareshan nahi kiya..." Adiraj explained, ignoring Sachi's whining that Vicky adored him to the moon and back.
(Savyasachi... He calls himself Sachi... but he is very mischievous... I hope... he didn't trouble Alpha Vicky...)

"Sachi ne Vicky ko pareshan nahi kiya....Vicky bhot kush hai sachi se milke!," Aashish reassured him, feeling Vicky's joy after meeting his mate as the wolf was practically doing salsa in his mind.
(Sachi didn't trouble Vicky... Vicky is very happy to meet Sachi!)

Adiraj snuggled closer to Aashish, savoring their time together. "Humain wapas chalna chahiye... bohot raat ho chuki hai,.. Aapko rest ki bhi zaroorat hai," he said, looking up at Aashish with love shining in his eyes.
(We should go back... it's very late, and you need rest too.)

"Hum kal phir milenge?" Aashish asked hopefully, seeing the same hope reflected in Adiraj's eyes.

"Agar aap chahe.. toh zaroor," Adiraj replied shyly, blushing slightly as he averted his gaze.

Aashish gently lifted Adiraj's chin to make him look at him. "Main kal phir tumse milne aaunga!," he promised, kissing Adiraj's forehead tenderly. (I will come to meet you again tomorrow!)

Adiraj closed his eyes, cherishing the kiss. "Intezar karunga aapka...," he murmured softly, relishing the love emanating from his mate.

Adiraj got up and changed into his wolf form, bringing out Sachi. Aashish followed suit, letting Vicky out who was captivated to see his pure white omega in front of him.

"Main aapko packhouse tak chhod deta hun.. .chaliye," Sachi offered shyly, moving closer to Vicky and touching their snouts together.
(I will drop you off at the packhouse... let's go.)

"Good night! Apna dhyan rakhna main chala jaunga!," Vicky said softly, knowing it wasn't safe for Adiraj to go to the packhouse alone at this point of the night in his wolf form as it could blow his cover as a Beta.
(Good night! Take care of yourself; I'll be going by myself!)

Sachi nodded reluctantly, unwilling to part with his Alpha, but circumstances force him to. "Aap bhi dhyaan rakhiyega...."

"Goodbye!" Vicky leaped over a fallen tree and vanished into the woods in an instant.

Sachi sat down on the forest floor, surrounded by their mingled scents. He couldn't return to his quarters like this. Quietly, he moved downstream, transforming into his human form and washing away every trace of Aashish and Vicky's scent. He knew this distressed them both. Finally, he returned to the stray quarters, slipped in through the window, fixed it, and curled up on his cot with his heart torn in two halves – one that was lighter than a feather to have met his mate, the other heavier than lead because it knew he'd have to let him go.

It is painful for both mates when the mate bond is rejected,but if it is rejected by the other person who did not initiate the starting, it can be painful enough to kill the one who started it. The mate bond must be rejected by the person who initiated it, for both of them to survive. Rejecting mate bond hurts both parties, but it is more bearable for Alphas as their wolves are stronger compared to the other sub-genders.
