Infinity IV Moon Crystal Power

"I don't understand this any more than you do." Counter carried the tiny bear into Parts and Service. "I just came here."

Which meant more paperwork Helpy had to deal with to register this new guy, from salvaging paperwork to liabilities, not to mention the cost of installation.

Helpy frowned, wondering, "What did you even see out there?"

Counter flinched, lowering his voice. "Listen, you don't want to hear about this, you're a child."

"I do taxes." Helpy did a mocking imitation of the bear's loud, glitchy voice, "yOu'Re a ChIlD, yoU dOn'T kNoW tAxES."

"I do not sound like that." Counter wrinkled his nose.

"I dOn't sOuNd lIkE tHaT." Helpy mocked, squirming out of his hand.

Helpy was small. There was no doubt about that, he was designed that way. A little helping bot should be able to sneak into tiny places to fetch things, too big and they become burdens.

But next to this enormous, twelve foot tall behemoth, he felt like an ant looking up at a skyscraper.

Who builds something this tall and lets it rust away?

"Alright, little guy." Counter laughs, the first one he's heard from him. "You wanna know? Fine. I saw a demonic creature roaming around."

Helpy froze.

"Child-who-can-do-taxes, listen. You do not want to get involved. I figured Lefty was in charge, seeing as she's really mature. So I let her know first."

Which means his employees were in danger!

And the lawsuits!

Could this crystal thing potentially help?

Helpy stamped his small feet, reaching up towards the giant. "Pick me up, I've got employees to save."

"Slow down, little guy, you're only six inches tall." Counter crouched down until he was eye level with him. "Listen up, little baby, we need to think about this."

"I have thought of this, I'm a professional lawyer!" Helpy screeched.

If there was anything Helpy hated more than getting sued, it was being talked down to. Helpy was not a child, he was a professional at his job!

"Fine, fine." Counter's wires on his busted hand grabbed Helpy, lifting him up. "Who's letting a kid be a lawyer?"

"I'm not a kid!!!" Helpy shrieked, kicking furiously.

"Sure, buddy." Counter sighed. He set him down on the large table in the middle of the room, backing up.

An explosion from outside. Helpy pulled his backpack off, dumping out the crystal shards.

He picked two up, rotating them around in his hands before clinking them together.

They glowed.

The two shards glowed with a white light, sticking together.

"Son of a Venus Love-Me Chain!" Sammy yelled, followed by a splat.

Helpy scrambled. He clinked shards together, connecting the crystal together.

The crystal grew bigger and glowed brighter as each shard collected together. By the time Helpy was getting close to done, the crystal shone like the Sun itself.

Helpy squinted, reaching for the last piece.

"Um, little bud?" Counter stared out the window. "You're gonna wanna hurry up."

A huge thud knocked the last piece just out of reach, teetering dangerously on the edge.

Counter yelled, losing his balance.

Helpy shielded his face, slowly inching forward to grab the last piece.

His small fingers curled around the crystal just before the pizzeria shook violently again.

Helpy lost balance, tipping forward and falling off.

A big, metalling hand stopped his fall.

"Finish it." Counter pleaded. "Go on."

Helpy inhaled deeply, clicking the last piece into the teardrop shaped crystal.

The light grew even brighter than before, blinding him momentarily.

"Ouch!" Counter exclaimed, shielding his own face with his forearm.

The weight in Helpy's hand lifted. The crystal was flying on its own!

The point of the teardrop fell open, blossoming into a beautiful lotus shaped crystal.

"I...I know what that is?" Counter gasped.

Helpy... recognised it. He couldn't place what it was, or what it was called, but he knew it. It was like he had seen it before.

Helpy reached forward, palms up, wanting to hold it. Would it be warm? Cold? Hard? Heavy?

The crystal floated down into his hands, morphing, again, with a bright pink light.

A small brooch. A tiny, heart shaped brooch, with a crescent moon on it, points up.

"Huh?" Helpy wondered out loud.

"What is that?" Counter asked.

"I don't know." Helpy frowned. "But I'm gonna find out!"

He slammed the brooch onto his miniature bow tie.
