Between is where I live with ease

Not yet the tempest, not quite the breeze

Amidst the dew and the twilight mist

In crannies where the sunbeams kissed

Within the shadowy seams of light

Where longing sadness meets delight

Nestled 'tween heart's incessant beats

Lounging in the folds of crumpled sheets

Betwixt the sands and the surging sea

Just look between, and you'll find me.

I remain a sylph in the no man's land

Between is where my destiny lies

Not yet the swelling amber dawn

Not quite the ebbing darkling night
