A/N: Hello! I have finally returned. Truth be told, I haven't been able to write much, and that's pretty bad, considering I'm a writing major at college! But I'm going to go into this and make myself finish it for everyone who keeps reading this. Thank you for sticking around and dealing with my malarkey.

JADE SAT in the Ravenclaw Common Room for hours. Luna still hadn't come back from Hogsmeade, and she wanted to try to apologize to her again.

She wasn't sure where she went wrong, or what she said that set Luna off, but she knew she had messed up.

Just as she was beginning to embrace the comfort of loneliness, the Common Room door swung open with multiple hoots and hollers. She turned slightly, trying to peek at who would be entering the room with such chaos. It was not a surprise when she saw Michael, Terry, and Anthony waving their arms around, high-fiving each other and punching one another's shoulders.

When the boys finally realized who was sitting on the couch, the three of them began to hoot even louder, ambushing Jade. Within seconds, she was pressed into the couch with Michael sitting on her legs, Anthony using her stomach as a headrest, and Terry screwing around with her hair.

"Question. What the hell is wrong with you?"

Jade grunted as she pushed Anthony off her stomach, shoving him on to the floor behind him. He caught himself with his elbows, laying in a relaxed position on the blue carpet. Terry pulled his hands out of her still wet hair, shrugging. Michael stayed on her legs, readjusting himself after almost flying off during her struggle with Anthony.

"Well, we're celebrating because we finally did it!" Anthony exclaimed, leaping up from his position on the ground. He began to dance in a circle, bobbing his head and waving his arms around.

"What? What did you do?" Jade grew increasingly concerned, her eyebrows coming closer together.

The nervous look on Michael's face told Jade all she needed to know.

"No. No you didn't. You killed the squid?" Her brown eyes widened. Jade could feel her rage building up inside of her, and she was ready to blow steam out of her ears and yell at the boys.

"Oh, we didn't kill it. But it exists! He's real!" Anthony was still dancing in his little circle, each of his sentences getting louder and louder.

For the first time today, Jade let out a genuine laugh. She buried her face in her hands and rubbed it, amused with the situation. Thank god the thing isn't dead. She thought, removing her head from her hands and looking up at the boys. A large, toothy smile had made its way to her face.

Terry was doubled over in laughter, holding his stomach like his insides might fall out if her didn't. Anthony was trying to retell the story, but he kept losing track of where he was because of Terry's laughter. Michael just shook his head, a big grin spreading across his face.

Jade didn't even try to listen to what Anthony was trying to say, she was too focused on Terry. It was the first time she had seen him this happy since the first day on the train. Sure, he had smiled and laughed sometimes, but it had never been like this.

Was he getting better? She hoped so. She wanted Terry back.

The Common Room door swung open again, this time sounding like a large number of girls. She turned again, seeing Su and Mandy at the front of the pack, with Lisa not too far behind. Mandy locked eyes with Jade and opened her mouth to talk to her, then saw the boys laughing behind the couch.

Word must have gotten around pretty fast that three idiots in the Ravenclaw tower tried to find the Giant Squid.

It was Jade's turn to laugh again. The boys didn't realize what was going on, until Terry locked eyes with Mandy. She must have looked pissed, because Terry stopped immediately and his face turned a bright red.

"Guys, Mandy's here!"

Anthony stood up as fast as he could, his eyes widening.

"Who's idea was it to give Puking Pastiles to the squid? Who?" Mandy pointed at each of the boys, her red nails gleaming ominously in the firelight.

All three of the boys put their hands up, their mouths trembling between laughter and fright. If none of the professors would tear them a new one, Mandy absolutely would.

The other girls who had entered with Su, Lisa, and Mandy had all gone to their rooms, or they were at other tables spread throughout the Common Room. Most of them were ignoring the battle going on, though a few first years were giggling in the corner.

"We're not going to dinner until you three tell me who did it."

Michael groaned, patting his stomach. Jade could hear it grumbling from where she sat. She looked at Mandy, giving her a small smile and a wink. Mandy laughed a little bit, trying to cover it by ducking her head down.

"Listen, I'm starving, so you better fess up." Michael leaned forward and jabbed  Anthony in the chest with his finger.

The door swung open again, but Jade didn't look to see who it was this time. The person spoke before she even had a chance to turn her head.

"So, when are we getting food?" The light, wispy voice asked.

She didn't sound mad, so Jade decided to turn around. Luna was standing behind Mandy, her blonde hair tangled together and wet. She ran a hand through her hair, trying to yank the knots out. Just as Jade was about to look away, she caught Luna's eye.

Luna smiled at her, then looked at Mandy, who had dropped her accusing finger.

"Well, I'm not gonna keep Luna waiting, but we'll resolve this after!" Mandy stomped her right foot on the ground, then turned on her heel and walked out the door.

"She's going to be so pissed when she found out it was me." Anthony mumbled, following her.

Michael looked at the other three, shrugged, and stood up.

"Let's go get some food, shall we?"
