Chapter 13
Stiles's Pov
Going back to the mall might seem like a nightmare for some people.
Which, in a way, is understandable. Especially if you're not a fan of shopping.
But honestly, I had no problem going back to the mall, I won't lie when I say I have been searching for new clothes to wear.
And of course, the mall is just the place I need to go to get what I want.
When we arrived at the mall the only things we took were our wallets. After all, we need money to buy what we want.
We all stood next to each other and walked inside the mall, smiling.
"So, what should we do?" June asked.
"I don't know. But, it's quite obvious that we all want to look around to see if there's something we want" Jake said.
"Agreed. We're already here" Luke added.
"And we've all got our wallets" I added, holding up my wallet in my hand to prove my point.
Olivia chuckled slightly before nodding her head in agreement.
June giggled before an idea popped into her head.
"I know. Why don't we split up? We can look at whatever stores we find interesting and get what we want" June suggested.
"Great idea, sweetie" Olivia smirked, kissing her cheek.
June blushed but smiled nevertheless at her girlfriend.
"Well, if we're going to split up, I rather go on my own" Jake said.
"Why?" Luke asked.
"I'm mainly trying to find some notebooks and a new mug. Besides, I rather be alone than with the lovey dovey couple" Jake deadpanned.
June rolled her eyes while Olivia scoffed.
"Fine with me. It just means that June and I can spend more time in the dressing rooms" Olivia smirked.
Jake's eyes widened in disbelief while Luke let out a bark of laughter.
I snorted at the bright blush appearing on June's cheeks.
Olivia...she just looked proud and completely unbothered by what she had just said.
Honestly, good for her.
"Oh god, I didn't need to know that" Jake groaned.
"Oh, well, should I also tell you about the time we-" Olivia started, only to get cut off.
"We're leaving now! Bye!" June yelled.
She quickly grabbed Olivia by the hand and dragged her away, ignoring the laughs coming from her girlfriend.
Jake groaned more and rolled his eyes before leaving.
It was just Luke and I.
"Well, looks like it's just us shopping together, love" Luke smirked.
"Seems like it. But, wait, what exactly do you need?" I asked.
"To be honest, nothing, but if I were to get something it would be a new leather jacket" Luke shrugged.
"Don't you already have 25?" I sarcastically asked.
"Adding another one to the collection won't hurt" Luke smirked.
I...I honestly should've expected that.
"Whatever. I'm looking to buy some new clothes, maybe, just maybe, change my style a little" I smiled.
"Well, lets get going, we've got some shopping to do" Luke grinned.
He linked his arm with mine and began dragging me away.
The little shit doesn't even know where we're going. He just wanted to do what he did.
But, I can't find myself to be angry, or annoyed, I actually like it.
It's cute that he just loves going anywhere with me, it's cute
Just don't expect me to say it out loud, especially to Luke.
An Hour Later
Luke and I had been shopping for an hour and we have only been to one store.
I swear girls shopping is alot different than when boys shop.
But I guess it's because girls look for more things than boys. Which is understandable since it's how they are.
Obviously, not all girls, but a good half of girls.
Luke and I exited the store we spent the past hour, looks of disappointment shown on both our faces.
"Well, we've gotten nowhere" Luke groaned.
"No shit" I scoffed.
"I can't believe we've only been to one store for the past hour" Luke said.
"I can't believe we almost got kicked out because you thought one of the workers was flirting with me" I deadpanned.
Yeah, we sort of got ourselves into trouble in that store.
Well...Luke did, I was just trying to diffuse the situation before it got worse.
"He was standing way too close to you" Luke defended.
"He asked if we needed help and we did, me especially" I scoffed.
"He was flirting with you" Luke defended.
"He was being polite. And, oh, he walked away to answer a call from his girlfriend" I deadpanned.
Luke opened his mouth to defend himself, only to quickly close it.
I sighed in exasperation and ran a hand through my hair.
I swear the amount of times I had to apologize to that poor guy was insane. Really, insane.
Especially when Luke looked ready to explode and attack him.
"Come on, lets find another store to look at" I said.
"Alright, but if there's nothing we like, I say we just go meet up with the others" Luke suggested.
"Good idea. I just hope they're having better luck than us" I sighed.
"Hopefully Jake met someone, if not, oh well. As for my sister and June, we already know they're having a good time" Luke smirked.
I chuckled and shook my head.
I hope no poor souls walk in on them.
And by poor souls, I mean the store workers.
Luke and I walked for another three minutes before we entered another store that looked pretty good.
"I swear to god we better find something here" Luke groaned.
"Same here" I sighed.
I know we didn't come here just to find nothing. That's just a waste of time, specifically ours.
We began looking around, trying to find anything, literally anything, that was interesting to us.
I really don't want to leave empty-handed, but we might have to if there's nothing that we like.
Fortunately, luck seemed to be on my side for once, something caught my eye once we made it to the clothing aisle.
It was a black jean jacket, it was plain, but there was an 'S' on the back of it.
I swear to god that that jean jacket was made for me.
Not to mention I've been wanting one of those, I love clothes that just have the letter of my first name on it.
Yes! Looks like I am getting something after all.
I just hope Luke found something, otherwise he's going to be the one leaving empty-handed.
Speaking of Luke, I was about to turn around and tell him what I wanted, when something caught my eye.
Or, should I say someone...
I turned around and immediately swallowed a lump in my throat.
It was Derek...
And he wasn't alone...
Noe, he was with...Braeden...
They were by the shoe aisle, they were looking at the shoes, I'm assuming Derek is here to buy her whatever shoes she wanted.
However, they weren't really looking at shoes.
No, they were facing each other, staring into each other's eyes.
There...there was love in Braeden's eyes when she stared at Derek. The same love that was in Derek's eyes as he stared at her.
That's how he used to look at me when we were still together.
But...after what happened that day, when I got kicked out of the pack, I've begun to question our relationship.
The love in his eyes when he stared at me didn't match the love in his eyes when he's staring at her.
I swear to god I was ready to throw up when Braeden leaned in and kissed Derek square on the lips.
It only got worse when Derek kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her waist.
Was...was it really all fake? Did he really pretend to love me?
Did he only use me because he felt bad?
Our relationship...it was all a lie...one big lie...
When the hell did he even get together with Braeden in the first place?
Did they get together the day after I got kicked out?
Because if so, that hits more than getting kicked out of the pack and getting my heartbroken.
Too many emotions were coursing through me at the moment.
I was heartbroken.
I was angry.
But most of all...I feel fucking betrayed...
I hadn't even realized that my eyes had watered and soon tears began streaming down my face.
I heard Luke calling out to me, asking me what's wrong, trying to figure out why I was crying.
I wanted to answer his questions, I really did.
But how could I do that when the only things that came out of my mouth were quiet whimpers?
So, without saying anything, I turned around and bolted out of there.
I couldn't be there anymore...I just couldn't...
I had to get away, I had to find some place that I could be alone...
I just wanted to be alone so I could cry and let out all my pain alone...
