They had decided to spend the rest of the day in my room again. Toyosi had talked about how she enjoyed how Tosin was jumping into our conversation, once in a while. She said it made her happy to see her talk. And most people agreed, so they agreed to be doing more of the gathering in my room.

I was wearing a bra top and bum short, when they had arrived in the room. Tosin was on her bed, and didn't pass me any confused look. Instead, I saw a faint smile, before her face went back to being emotionless as she continued the novel she was read. It was a really big novel, I was starting to wonder when she was going to be through with it.

Amarachi took the space beside me, while Joseph grabbed my chair. Instead of gathering around my bed like they usually do, they spread out a bit. "Hey Tosin," Toyosi greeted her.

"Sup." She kept it short. Toyosi smiled to herself. "Someone can take my chair," she added, absent mindedly pointing to the chair by her side of the room, close to her table. Collins quickly jumped up and ran for it.

We laughed. Soma and a new face walked into the room, while we were laughing. We all paused, as our eyes went to the new face. "Hi guys," he greeted like he hadn't walk in with anyone new.

The guy greeted us next, but we all gave low tuned answers. It was then Soma came back to his senses, then he cleared his throat. "Err, this is Science. Science, this is the guys." He ended his sentence with a smile, making us laugh. "You'd find out their names on and on jare," he added in laughter, making Science laugh.

"Lazy guy," Science joked.

We laughed again, then fell into a pin dropping silence.

"My roommate told me to warn you about your guy," Esse suddenly said, breaking the silence, all our heads went straight to where she was seating on the floor. She lifted her head from her phone to look at me. "My roommate is from 'The Hills', and she said that I should warn you about him. She said he is a narcissist, who is over ambitious and would do anything for himself and his ego."

My jaw dropped. I don't think I've every heard someone been describe in such a bad way before. I don't even think I would have described Joseph that way, when he had hurt me.

"Ou, Damn," Amarachi let out. "That sounds awful."

Esse nodded. "She said he's a really determined person, and could do almost anything to get whatever he wanted. That, he doesn't let anyone beat him in anything, he always wanted to win in whatever competition he did. That, he is even the first in the entire school at the moment, and the school is sure he is going to bring them all 'As' in his external exams."

I was speechless. I didn't know what to say to her, so I only stared.

"She also said," she continued. "That, no one has also beat him in any of the vacation games." She paused, sighed, and then continued. "She said she saw both of you in the hall that, I should let you know that you had better be careful. He's no joke."

I nodded. "Okay. Help me tell her I said, 'Thank you'."

Esse nodded. "Sure."

"I don't sense a bad vibe though," Tosin jumped in, making us turn to her direction.

"Same here, to be honest," Toyosi added.

I shrugged in uneasiness.

"There's a pool though," Science said, like he could sense my uneasiness and discomfort.

"Yes, its open till light out," Soma added.

And, with that the topic was changed and so was my mood. My mind was taken off Khalid as soon as possible and we were talking on and on. After a topic, a new topic came up.

We went to dinner together. I tried my possible hardest to avoid jamming Khalid. I didn't go to the hall at all, because I knew he was definitely going to be there. We split up after dinner and went back to our different rooms.

Tosin was back in the room and was curled up on her bed as usual. It was like she never stepped out, and spent more time in the room that out of it. Whenever she was like that, I took it as a sigh that she wanted to be left alone. So, I left her alone and went to have my bath and change to my night wear.

I didn't want to end up having to reply Khalid's message and be online, so I stayed offline and listen to music. I laid down with my back on my bed, my hands on my stomach, and my earphone in. My pop playlist was playing on a low tune, when I heard the loud rumbling and thunder striking. I opened my eyes and sat up, looking out of the window. It had started raining. A faint smile kissed my lips. The rain was a beautiful thing, and I really love it. I adjusted, placing my arms on the window-bind and my jaw on it. The outside was silent, empty and beautiful.

It was long into my happy place, before I began to hear loud sobs, making me pull out my earphone. The sobbing continued, making me turn to Tosin. She had her pillow over hear head, sobbing. "You alright?" I asked as I stood up from my bed and began to make my way towards her bed.

She didn't answer me as she kept on sobbing. I sat down at the edge of her bed, placing my hand gently on her shoulder, making her to abruptly seat up with a jump. "Please, don't," she said with so much fear, looking at me with so much fear.

I didn't know if she was telling me not to touch or something else. So, I replied with what I thought was right. "I will not," I said in a calm voice, making her nod gently as she continued to sob as she hugged me and I her back. She calmed down a bit, but she kept on sobbing. I rubbed clockwise on her back as she rested her head on my right shoulder, patting in between. It wasn't long before she quiet down and I began to hear soft snores.

I laid her down, covered her and went back to my own bed. I tried hard not to think about it, but it troubled me all night, until I slept off.
