MAYOWA'S POV

"We can't attack, have you seen how muscular that man is" I say in a whisper and Chisom chuckles.

"Your such a chicken, let's come back here tomorrow with the police"

"I've already called for backup"

"You did what?, ohw God. I didn't ask for fucken police men" She groans loudly and I roll my eyes. Like she's in the Avengers.

That's when the most horrible thing happened, my smartphone started ringing loudly in my pocket. Joe boy song, 'Don't call me back' blasted loudly and yes, the muscular guy noticed.

"Shit!, Does my sister know that's your ringtone?"

That's not important!

"Who's there!" The man voiced, standing up and walking towards our direction.

I turned and Chisom had already taken heels. This girl fit leave you die alone oh. I rushed out of there running like my life depended on it, cause it actually did. I quickly got into the car, meeting Chisom panting hard.

I got the silly phone out to see a miss call from the police. I call back, "Hello Sir"

"Where are you?"

"Sir, Please, we'll come back tomorrow" I said in between panting.

"Okay, that would be better"

"Yeah" Hanging up.

I turned to Chisom who had a smile on her face, "That was fun"

What??, me running for my life was fun?

Damn.....I'm so gonna deal with Amanda

"Remind me why I left were I was dealing with that stupid girl called Stephanie, to this quiet and empty library" Kemi said.

Students hate the library, it's only nerds and geeks that come here, and most of the time love bird come here to have some privacy and make out.

"I know right, when your treating peoples shit, it's annoying to get interrupted" Chisom replied.

"Girl, you feel me" Giving each other fist bumps.

"So, I called each and everyone one of you here because of this Ebu situation" Putting on a serious look to indicate that I meant business.

"Ohw that, Kemi and I found Seyi after school and we kinda stalked her. She's clean" Femi said, her eye not lookig up from her phone screen.

"Why would you stalk Seyi??"

"Ahh lover boy, hold your self oh. Choose one girl na" Kemi lashed

"Ahbi, why isn't Dora here?" Femi asked with cocked brows

"Dora has enough on her plate and dragging her into this is just gonna hurt her the more" I couldn't even bear it when I saw her chatting and laughing with Amanda in the hallway.

Pretenders of the universe

"Let's get straight to the point. I have geography test to write and I don't want a B on my report sheet" Chisom snapped with her usual sassy tone.

Hmm, so she reads.

"Yeah" Taking a deep breathe, "We found Ebu" I busted out and the twins just stare at me with their mouth dropped open.

"Correction, I found Ebu. You were just my side kick" Chisom said and I just wanted to slap that brat. If not that's she's my girlfriends sister.

She explained everything to the twins and I was surprise how attentive they were. If Kemi was attentive like this in math class, she'll be a math wiz.

"Wait ohh!" Kemi shouted earning a warning glare from the librarian. "You mean say na Amanda wey dey make us go through all this palava?!"

"I can't believe this" Femi mumbled, a disappointed look on her face.

"What I don't get is, why Amanda would do such a thing" I wonder how a pretty and innocent girl will have such criminal intentions.

"Because of you nah" Kemi yelled, hissing at the end of her statement.

Me?, why is everyone pointing at me!

"Since Ebu got into a relationship with you and you two started acting all lovey dovey in class, all the girls in the school have been gossiping and some people like Amanda got so serious with it. Me personally observed Amanda's sudden change in attitude, but I didn't really think her getting all annoyed will result to her kidnapping Ebu" Femi said

"Me, I always liked David for her, why is everybody aiming for you sef, watin dem dey see for you?" Kemi hissed while eyeing me.

Okay....That's harsh

"You never liked David" Femi shot at Kemi who rolled her eyes in response.

"Well, whatever. So after school, were heading to the place were she's been kidnapped with some police men" Chisom says as she stands up, "If I get marked late in attendance, one of you is getting kidnapped" She snaps then walks out.

"Thank God all this have come to an end!" Kemi sighs but Femi still has a disappointed look as she is lost in a lot of thoughts.

We returned to class and I couldn't get my eyes of my phone time till school was finally over. Chisom met the twins and I beside my car then we were off. I made sure I told the detector and police when I left school so they know what to do.

The ride was silent, all you could hear was the noise your phone makes when your typing and all three girls were typing nonstop. I wonder what they who they were all texting?

After some time, I halted at the uncompleted building and met some of the police men who had already surrounded the place.

"Mad oh, na here wey human being dey stay?"

"Let's go" I announced and we all got down the car.

We all got out of the car and to our greatest surprise, the muscular guy was at a corner smoking, he lost in the environment around him as he just enjoyed the pleasure the cigar gave.

"Freeze!" The police yelled and the man turned slowly in shock while raising his both hands in surrender.

"Whose that guy?"

"Probably the person appointed to keep watch" I answered as I watch some of the police men handcuff him and lead him to their car.

That one is settled.

I run inside the uncompleted building and search the whole place for Ebu. I couldn't believe Amanda would let someone stay in this kind of place for up to two weeks.

Sitting on a chair was Ebu, she just sat quiet, stiff and equally lifeless. What has Amanda done to her.

I quickly sprinted over to Ebu and knelt down in front of her. My actions made her jerk as she began to breathe hard.

"Lea-ve me" Her voice was weak but still held determination. "I'm so... hungry" She whispers like she was talking to herself then breaks into little sobs which made my spirit boil in anger.

Amanda really has guts.

"Ebu" I whisper and she was immediately alerted.

She gasped, as her head sprinted up, "Mayo?"

"Yes, it's me" my hands reach for the blindfold and I gently pulled it off. She let her eyes adjust a little then turned to me, her face had a lot of black spots and her color was drained.

"Oh my god!, Mayo!" She said with joy as I just pull her in for a tight hug. She sobs on my shoulder and I let my fingers slide through her hair as an act of comfort and consolation.

"The ropes" He reminded and I let go of her

"Oh, sorry"

I reached for the strong ropes that bounded her body and begin to untie them. All I felt was happiness that I have finally seen her. "For a second I thought you forgot me here" She blurted out as I focus on the ropes I'm untying.

Done with the ropes, I supported Ebu to stand up as we both head for the exit, she stopped on seeing the twins and Chisom.

"Girls" She called weakly and they just ran to her for a hug.

"Careful, my body hurts bad" She said making the twins pull apart. "sorry"

"Never do this to us again" Femi said and Ebu nodded. She turned to Chisom and surprisingly rushed towards her and gave her a warm hug.

"I missed my bratty sister" She whispered and Chisom chuckled, "Get kidnapped again and I promise to make you pay when I find you"

"Copy that" She laughed

"Never scare us like that again, I stalked someone for a whole four hours hiding around in bushes because of you" Kemi lashed

"What?...you know what..... I'm just happy to see you guys here" Ebu said then turned to me and whispered, "More especially you"

Nothing can explain the joy in my heart right now

We all lead her out and got into my car. "The police have to head over to Amanda's place for her arrest"

"Should we go?" Femi asked, her shoulders supporting Ebu who is resting peacefully.

"I think you girls should stay with Ebu, Chisom and I will go" I said, turning the key to start the engine.

"Boy, I'm not going with you....I have my sister home so my business with you is so damn over" She snaps

I'm going to the idiots house alone then... Lord help me not to strangle her for what she has done to my girl.
