Misunderstanding
Hi, my pretty little thorns! I finished my summer internship today, so I should be free to update until next Thursday. Yay! Stuff goes down in this chapter, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Ebony was in his room, painting a beautiful picture of a sunflower. He heard footsteps behind him, so he set his brush down and looked back to see his sister standing only a couple feet away from him.
She had her hands behind her back and a large grin on her face. "Hello, brother. Whatcha doin'?"
He nodded at his painting. "I am painting a sunflower." He started painting again. "Is there something you require of me, sister?" He stopped again when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head to look at her and saw that she was grinning wider. He also noticed something he hadn't before. Her eyes had a wicked, bloodthirsty glint to them.
He pulled away just in time before a red energy orb was shot through the floor where he had been sitting. "I will destroy you, Ebony." She shot another orb at him, but he dodged it. "Now just stay still!"
Ebony's skinny frame was perfect for quick movements. He dodged every orb, then tackled her to the ground. The room had multiple holes and burn marks on the floor and walls. He raised his hand as it glowed neon purple. He was only going to restrain her, but then a guard walked in.
"The prince is attacking the princess! He is the dark one! Get him!"
Ebony stood and put his hands up in surrender. His big eyes were wide with fear. "No. You do not understand. It was not me. It was her." He pointed at Ivory and his eyes widened more when he saw tears in her eyes.
Ivory sobbed and sniffled. "He hurt me! Daddy! Waaah!"
Four guards ran in and grabbed each of Ebony's limbs. "No. This is not right. Let me go." He didn't yell, but he was still begging.
The guards carried him out and he struggled against them. He was just barely able to look back at his sister and his father who had come to comfort her. The king was faced away from him, but Ivory was staring right at him. The look in her eyes was one of pure madness. She grinned wide and waved as the guards took him to the dungeon in the basement.
When they got to the farthest cell in the back of the dungeon, the guards put him down, but two kept him restrained. They put a special collar around his neck that would suppress his magic abilities. It glowed a bright blue as it was activated, providing him with the only light source in the cell besides the faint candle glow from the hall.
The guards let him go and stepped out of the cell then locked the door. Ebony made one last plea. "Please. Do not do this. I am not the dark one. Please believe me."
One of the guards spit near him and growled. "Why should we believe you. You are obviously the dark one. Enjoy the rest of eternity rotting in this cell." Then they all walked out and left him in the dark, all alone.

Poor Ebony. I'm so sorry, but it had to happen. But don't worry! This isn't over yet! Farewell, my pretty little thorns, and remember: BE SAFE AROUND TRAINS!!! (If you understand this, I love you.)
