there was a ring from alice's doorbell. "i'll get it!!" the door opened to a calm barry but his face dropped amongst seeing a man open the door. his brown eyes were soft, friendly and beautifully gazing.

he was towering over barry quite a bit but his body language seemed calm. "hi! i'm joseph, nice to meet you!" he extended his arm out like a polite gentlemen, his british accent was thick as ever

barry kissed his teeth crossing his arms. he chuckled, "i think you already know who i am." barry said in a cocky tone

joseph seem surprised by his response and slowly lowered his arm and shook his head, "no. i don't think i've met you before—-"

"hey, who are you talking to!?" alice asked showing up in the doorway standing right next to joseph. her smile dropped amongst seeing her ex...

alice touched his wrist very quickly, "can you give us one second?" she asked joseph

"yeah! of course! i'll be in the kitchen if you need me. it was nice meeting you." joseph nicely stated

"yeah wasn't a pleasure." barry mumbled as joseph walked away with alice shooting him a glare. she stepped outside quietly shutting her door.

"what are you doing here?" alice asked

"forget that. what is he doing here?" he asked sounding jealous. barry noticed alice was wearing a turtleneck outside in ninety degree weather. he furrowed his brown eyebrows then unexpectedly pulled her turtleneck down

which angered him amongst seeing what looked like a fresh hickey on her pale neck. he was shocked for the most part then clenched his jaw. she swatted his hand away aggressively then kissed her teeth.

"barry why are you here?" alice asked again

he pointed his index finger at her, "are you fucking him and other dudes? tell me right now!" barry raised his voice 

alice quickly swatted his hand away again growing more irritated by the second, "keep your hands down." she warned lowly but barry wasn't even hearing her anymore

something about seeing a hickey planted on her neck by another man just triggered him. he was hurt. he felt like screaming and yelling, punching any wall that is nearby

"answer the question alice. what are you doing, huh!" barry yelled

"living my life like any other grown woman would do." she simply replied. she owed him no explanation for what she is choosing to do with her life

"your really fucking eddie.... from stranger things? some upgrade." 

"he has a name, joseph. and that still does not explain why you are here at my house."

"so you are fucking him?!" barry asked in a frenzy balling his fist up. alice gave him another death glare

"if you punch something on my property barry i promise you are paying for it." she threatened

"like i give a fuck i can afford to." he retorted

the more she talked to him, the more it irritated her. this wasn't the barry that she used to date. he now comes off as arrogant and cocky and that is something she cannot stand

"barry just go. i don't owe you any explanation."

she just kept being dismissive which angered barry. he just wanted her to talk to him like the old times. "i miss you alice."

she pointed at his car that was parked in the driveway, "leave. now!" she raised her voice sounding fed up with his bullshit

barry softened his face hearing the irritation come for alice, he looked heartbroken. he walked to his car without saying another word. alice didn't even bother to watch him get in his car and drive away like she used too. it showed barry that she clearly is over him and that she is moving on with her life. that hurt him and he began regretting even pulling up to her place

she walked into the kitchen acting as if she didn't even have a conversation with her ex. joseph showed concern as he bit into a pineapple chunk. alice was faced away from him washing her hands thoroughly then drying them. she sat in a chair across the table from him grabbing a piece of random fruit.

"you okay?" he asked sweetly as his eyes never left hers. alice nodded, "i'm okay, thanks for asking."

"if you don't mind me asking.... who was that?" joseph asked giving her his full attention

joseph quinn.. one of hollywood's newest heartthrobs who rose to fame quite quickly after stranger things. he is chronically offline so he doesn't know much about anything going on these days unless his friends or colleagues personally tell him.

"that was my ex boyfriend." alice answered clearing her throat, joseph nodded

"that explains why he didn't look happy to see me." joseph let out a heavy breath as alice sighed, "yeah. he will get over it."

"why'd you guys break up?" he asked, alice looked at him then joseph coughed mentally cursing at himself for asking too many questions. he felt bad instantly

"i'm sorry for prying, i'll shut up." alice chuckled at how nervous he was getting

"you're not prying at all. but he cheated on me." she answered his question sounding as normal as any human could. her response came off as she wasn't hurt. that she was secure within herself

joseph gave her a smitten look, but alice spoke up, "it's okay. life happens and i'm dealing with it."

"he is a fool for cheating on you that is for sure." joseph complimented her making her cheeks flush red. "thanks." she quietly said

joseph likes alice very much but out of respect he won't be making a move on her anytime soon. she deserves to heal properly and he knew that.

a few hours later after cutting joseph's hair off and watching a movie together, he left to go get ready for upcoming press tours for his new movie with lupita called 'a quiet place: day one'.

billie was currently over with alice catching her up on what happened earlier on today. her jaw was on the floor hearing what happened. alice quickly took her turtleneck off feeling more comfortable. a white tank top was underneath as she wore no bra, her nipples were cold and very revealing

billie whistled, "i didn't mean to leave a mark...." she trailed off biting her lip seductively making sure to keep strong eye contact with alice who wasn't expecting her to say that

alice blushed away but didn't say anything. "this is the second fucking time this has happened and i just feel like we keep moving on from it acting like...." alice sighed, "yeah."

"acting like it has never happened." billie finished licking her lips, alice stayed quiet with billie constantly looking at her hoping for an answer

"did you not enjoy it?" she asked softly

alice quickly pinched her nose then cleared her throat, "i mean we did it twice right?" alice reminded billie lighting the mood. billie ended up chuckling at her answer

"no but seriously i enjoyed it. that was my first time with a woman and.... it couldn't have been better." alice opened up to billie who nodded, "same here."

them both being each others first when it came to being in bed with a woman made the experience more intense and more captivating on both sides.

"i just don't want there to be any pressure or anything. i don't want this ruining anything between us and i don't want you feeling like you have to force anything." billie added

"no pressure at all, don't worry."

"would you date me?" billie suddenly asked making alice slightly turn her head

"i know i look like a fucking simp i ate you twice and now suddenly am asking stupid fucking questions." billie said sounding embarrassed as hell about what she just asked

"it's not a stupid question at all and i would." alice answered with honesty. billie and her ocean eyes almost lit up instantly

"i feel bad about this, all of it." billie admitted with some sort of shame. alice frowned, "bil don't. we are two consenting adults and—-"

"yes but i know right now is a tough time for you. it hasn't been long since the whole barry and sabrina situation and i just...." billie paused for a second getting herself together, "i want you to know that i didn't proceed to do that with you because i feel sorry for you and i want you to know i fucking respect you. so fucking much. i love you literally with everything in me."

alice flashed a smile, "i know that bil and i love you way fucking more."

"if we end up together someday, that is fine. if we tried dating, that is fine. if we don't end up together, that is also fine. but i just don't ever want to lose you. you really are special to me."

alice had a tear falling down at this point. billie meant what she was saying and alice could tell. she got up and went over to sit next to billie, they both pulled each other into a deep hug.

when they broke away from the hug they pressed their foreheads against each others. they had their eyes shut, "can you promise me something?" billie said

"anything." billie opened her eyes tucking a piece of hair behind alice's ear, "i don't care who you date but just promise me that you won't ever get back with barry. he doesn't deserve you at all."

alice opened her eyes making sure to look at billie, "i promise." she assured as billie pressed a gentle kiss onto her forehead

after that, there was a knock on the door. alice got up and opened it to see a woman in a nice suit. "hi can i help you?" alice asked

the woman handed alice a paper, "you have been served."
