Raven POV

It was lunch by now. Hayden had walked me to every class and was now walking with me to the cafeteria, the whole time I felt people stare at us but I didn't pay attention to it.. that changed as soon as I walked in the cafeteria with him and took a seat in the middle table. Everyone went quiet in an instant just looking at us, I grew annoyed and glared at all of them.

"The hell you looking at?!" I spat and that was enough for them to go back to their conversations though I knew they were still giving us glances.

"What is wrong with everyone?" I ask Hayden and that's when I notice 3 more boys and one girl sitting at the table the girl was looking at me carefully as if studying me but she had a slight glare towards me. Her eyes were normal brown and her brown hair went to her mid back but unlike most of the girls in this school her hair looked natural and she didn't have much makeup on. Her skin had slight color to it and she seemed flawless in a way.

"Who's the girl?" Asked one of the boys and I studied him. He had blond hair and green eyes, his figure wasn't bad ether.

"Oh sorry. Guys this is an old friend of mine who I adore, admire, and love. Raven, these are my friends and girlfriend-" I cut him off as my eyes widen and my mouth almost hit the floor.

"Who are you and what have you done to Hayden Miller?!" I say gasping making him roll his eyes.

"Despite what you think I am capable of love." He says and I laugh a bit with a smile.

"I never thought I'd see the day I'd see you have a girlfriend." I look at her and smile.

"It's really nice to meet you, I'm Raven but most of my friends call me Rebel." I say smiling at her and extending my hand for her to shake.

"I'm Stephanie but most people call me Steph." She says shaking my hand and I nod.

"I really admire you. I never thought I'd see Hayden Miller tied down." I say but I felt Hayden hit me softly I look at him and he gave me a look telling me she didn't really know what I was talking about.

"I mean, it's just Hayden has never really shown much feelings for girls.. like romantic ones." I say glancing at Hayden as I did and he sighed.

"Oh, well that's good. It makes me feel special." She says and I smile.

"That you should." I say and he hugged her shoulders with his hand making me smile. He looks happy with her.

"Well these are Brian, Sam, and Shawnel which we call Shawn for short and because he likes it more." Hayden said and I smiled at everyone.

"It's nice to meet you." I say my eyes landing on Shawnel. It was a strange and very unique name I have never heard before.. just like him. His dark brown hair was styled up, his face was flawless, his eyes were looking back at mine and they looked so amazing. I never thought I'd love brown eyes so much.. and don't even get me started on that body. My eyes travel his arm to see a very unique guitar tattoo that intrigued me. I never thought I'd see someone here with a tattoo.

"Shawnel is a very unique name." I say looking at him and my hand subconsciously went to the dog tag that's hanging from my neck and this seemed to call Hayden's attention.

"Rave.. that doesn't look like your dog tag.. that looks like.." His smirk grew.

"I knew you'd two end up together." He says giving me the look and I roll my eyes.

"We're best friends, Hayden. He gave me his dog tag and I gave him mine the moment I found out I was moving here." I say still playing with his dog tag.

"How do you even remember what our dog tags look like?" I ask and he laughs.

"You two are the only ones I know that had different color or added something to their dog tags. Yours is black with grey letters and his is grey with the rubber black thingy on the sides. Plus yours has a guitar pick on it." He says and I smile looking at the tag.

"Plus you can't deny the fact that you two have at least-" I cut him off.

"Fine yes we have. But it's nothing serious we're still only friends." I say normally as nothing, because it is, making him roll his eyes.

"How do you two know each other?" Steph asked and Hayden flinched slightly. I guess she doesn't know anything about his past.

"She lived in the same neighborhood as me." He said and I nodded not wanting to go against him and ruin everything.

"Oh that's nice." She says smiling and I nodded again my eyes landing on Shawnel again.

"Why did your parents name you Raven?" He asked me curious and I smiled lightly at him.

"My hair has always been a perfect black color even at birth so yeah.. my father was the one that named me." I say leaving the part of my mother out and Hayden let go of Stephanie to give me a slight hug.

"Hey it's ok." He said to my ear as I bury my head on his shoulder. Like me he loved my father, he was always over and we would play music together singing that reminds me of the power he had to calm me down every time he hummed just like Jaxon or my father.

"I miss him so much Hayden." I say and he nodded I felt everyone look at us and I pull away putting my act back together.

"Sorry about that." I say apologetic to everyone at the table.

"Why did you move here?" Shawnel asked again but it didn't sound harsh just curious and careful. He looks sexy along with his voice but his words and they way he used them showed me that he was actually very nice and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

"My father died last week so they made me move here with my mother." I say in a low voice.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to-" I cut him off.

"I don't need your pity." I say my eyes and voice dark.

"Tempest calm down! He didn't mean it like that." Said Hayden and I shake my head giving him a slight glare, he knows I don't like when he calls me Tempest because it normally means I'm going too far.

"Tempest?" I hear the guys say and I roll my eyes before taking my phone out to see a text from Jaxon saying 'call me when you can.' I dialed his number and put the phone to my ear.

"I'm getting out of here." I say getting up and walking away ignoring the disappointed face Shawnel had.
