"Y/N." Alexander breathed out.

"Man I must be imagining people. You're supposed to be at war." I say losing energy every second I'm conscious.

"I'm here to help you. We'll talk later." Hamilton picked me up from my spot on the ground carrying me back to probably where he came from. My eyes get heavy and begin to close that is until Alex sets me down. But he's not the only one there.

"John take her back to where medics are. Fast. I'm going to go back and try to get Marquis." He said to Laurens sternly.

"I can't let you go back alone. That's to dangerous." Laurens pleaded against Alex.

"Nothing happened the first time and Hercules and Marie are coming with me along with others. We'll be fine. Keep her safe." Alexander said walking away leaving me and John so he could get Lafayette. If I had enough energy I would've told him thank you and to be careful.

"Let's get you help." John said looking down at me then picking me up,"I'm so sorry this happened. I know you're probably not listening right now but we thought that you had died at battle. We weren't sure about Laf though. We came to find you both after someone sent us a letter."

"Thank you John." I whisper to him.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

"Not right now." my eyes get teary again thinking of what could be happening to Lafayette and everyone that went back to save him. We walk through the woods in silence until we hear booms. 'Gun shots.' I think.

"We'll hide here. Just stay calm." John says leading me to a ditch like place kind of like Laf did before we were caught. I just stay calm as he says. John has a gun in his hands ready to fire if one of the red coats walk by. There are noises of crunching leaves above us and John clutches onto his gun. The foot steps get closer before John speaks,"Freeze!!" he yells scaring the red coat as he falls into the ditch in front of us.

"Harry?" I ask him using what's left of my energy. My leg now being numb.

"Put your hands where I can see them." John commands.

"What happened?" I ask Harry. He slowly turns towards me cautious of John who's still holding his gun that's loaded.

"I'm not sure I just ran." he says guilt obviously on his face.

"Is Lafayette okay?" I ask now a tear going down my face thinking of his beautiful face.

"I don't know." Even more guilt appears on his face as he answers.

"Which way were they coming?" John asks Harry with a stone cold expression.

"The other way. That's all I know." Harry politely says like he always talked to me. Without another word John comes over to me picking me up.

"If you pull anything I'll have your head." John says to Harry who gulps nervously then replies with a yes sir. It's silence which could be bad but I close my eyes not being able to keep them open any longer. I hope we're at the medics soon.

"Laurens what happened?" I hear someone with a stern voice ask. I slowly open my eyes to see Laurens and General Washington talking.

"Sir all I did was take her here along with that red coat. Y/N called him Harry. Has Alexander and the others got back?" John asks him with a worried expression.

"Not that I've heard of." Washington replies like a worried dad,"Why don't you go check." Without thinking twice Laurens walks fast out of the room leaving me with Washington not even noticing I was awake.

"Sir." I say startling the General,"Sorry." I mumble as I see his reaction.

"Y/N. How are you feeling?" he asks politely walking over to the bed I'm in.

"Lafayette isn't back yet?" I ask ignoring his question.

"No he is not. They said you had a broken ankle. How does that feel?" Washington tries to advert the conversation from Lafayette.

"Not good." I reply now looking at my wrapped ankle,"Shouldn't you be at war right now?"

"I've got other Generals working on that right now. Would you like me to give you some space?" he asks walking to the door.

"Yes." I reply,"Thank you." I say before he leaves bursting into tears. He notices and walks over to the bed leaning in to give me a hug trying to calm my nerves and feelings.

"I'm sorry this has happened." he says quietly,"He'll be here soon. I know it." General Washington then pulls away from the hug leaving the room. I sit there with my thoughts for what seemed like hours until a frantic Laurens runs into the room.

"Y/N!!! They're back!!! They're okay!!!" He shouts excitedly giving me a hug,"I'll go get them and bring them here!" John leaves just as fast as he came in not letting me tell him thank you.

"She's in here!" I hear John exclaim and I laugh a little at his enthusiastic state. Right after he says that the door opens to reveal a face I had been thinking about non stop.

"Laf." I breathed out as he ran to me engulfing me in a hug I so desperately needed from him,"Are you hurt?"

"I'm perfect now that I've seen your face. How is your foot?" he asks looking at my ankle with a worried expression.

"It's fine. It'll heal. I just can't go back to war I guess. I mean I never was in it anyway." I say laughing a little trying to brighten the mood.

"I love you so much." Lafayette says turning back to my face getting closer to it.

"I love you too." I say before he leans in to kiss me.

"I'm never letting you go." Lafayette says quietly.
