Exam
(Your point of view)
"You idiot. She's looking for us now. Come on, we got to go." I heard someone hiss. I travelled in the direction of the sound, but got no farther. It was a closed area and there was nobody there. I was about to admit defeat, however I heard the floorboards creak. "Who's there?" I called out, attempting to get the intruders to reveal themselves. There was no response. "Come out, will ya? Being stalked isn't really nice, you know." There was still no response from the intruders. I could have sworn I heard two people talking. After a while of searching, I gave up and returned to the dorm. I had a demon to slay.
When I returned, the demon had not moved a millimetre. It appeared to understand that the slightest movement would kill it. "See you in hell." I plunged my dagger into the beast and watched it squirm, hoping it would disappear. What's suppose to happen when a demon dies? Do they disappear or something? That particular one started to disappear. There's my answer. I returned to my study desk and sat down. What in the world just happened? Why would a demon come and attack us? Did it sense Shiemi was sick?
I took a tissue and cleaned of my dagger. I rummaged through my draws for duct tape. No, because Rin's here. Any demon in the area would automatically go for Rin first... unless... Is Rin already down? No, he can't be. He would of burnt the demon to a crisp. Or Yukio would step in. Due to Rin's personality, I assume he'd be quite reckless when fighting. That would mean Yukio would take it upon himself to slay the demon before Rin had a chance to unsheath his sword. After finding the tape, I wrapped it around my broken bow to fix it. So... if it's not that... I sheathed my dagger. That only leaves one thing left.
"Sir, may you help?" Yukio shook his head. "You've only been here a week and you're adamant about taking the exwire exams, to be on par with your classmates. If you can't handle Rin, you can't handle the exam."
It was the exwire exam. Damn it, I knew those voices were familiar! It was Yukio and Rin. Rin being there was quite odd. Maybe he nagged Yukio about it. I hope I did well.
I flopped myself on to my bed to rest for tomorrow.
*time skip to tomorrow bumbumbabum a duck walks up to a lemonade-*
"Hey, (y/n), it's time for cram school." The familiar voice of Shiemi woke me. I sat up in my bed and stretched. "I thought you were sick?" I murmured drowsily. She shook her head as I got out of bed. I began to get dressed. "Yuki just told me to. He still wants me to stay here till the end of the week. I can't tell you why, sorry." She apologised. I picked up my dagger. "It's whatever. Sir can be annoying sometimes," I told her. "Well, let's be going. We don't want to be late." I grabbed a chocolate bar - for breakfast, obviously - and left the dorm. Shiemi followed in pursuit. "You're not mad?" She asked me, guilt in her voice. I shook my head. "Nah, it's whatever. Sir told you to and he can be an annoyance. But I'm pretty sure I know why he told you," I replied. "I'm pretty sure it was my exwire exam. Any demon in the area would go for Rin first, since he's son of Satan and all. And I did hear the pair when the demon came. It was also odd how it showed up after he mentioned the exam earlier." We stopped outside the classroom door. "It's easy to forget my IQ isn't negative one." Shiemi wandered back to the dorms.
I opened the classroom door and walked it. "So how'd I do last night, sir?" I enquired. We had arrived a little bit early, so no one else (part from Rin and Yukio) were here. "What do you mean, (y/n)?" He responded. I gave him a look as to tell him I knew. "I heard you two last night. All too convient that demon showed up. It was my exwire exam! So, how'd I do?" I explained. I gave him a smile. "You passed. I'm just trying to decide what meister you fit into," he sighed. Clearly he didn't want to tell me yet, but couldn't weedle his way out of it. "Not many use a bow or a dagger. I guess you're a dragoon and knight." I put my hands on his shoulders and started jumping up and down. "I passed? You mean I actually passed?" I squealed. Yukio nodded. "This is the best day ever! Sir, you have earned a spot in my gold books." I stopped jumping and gave him a large smile. "Please take your seat, (y/n). The others will be in soon," Yukio ordered. "'Course sir!" I flashed him another smile and sat down next to Rin.
