Cram School
(Your point of view)
"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! It's time for school," Shiemi told me. I awoke to her trying to get me up. I fell asleep while studying. I shook my head. "No, I'm only enrolled for cram school. I got straight a star at my old school and I'm taking an online education," I slurred through my fatigue. "Yuki mentioned that when I asked. The problem is that cram school is in five minutes," she explained. Crap. I jumped out of my seat and rushed to my wardrobe. I frantically got dressed and shoved my books into my bag. "Let's go, Shiemi! I am so screwed if I'm late first day. We're screwed in general if we're late," I yelled as I rushed out of our room.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Shiemi called. I slowed down and she managed to catch up. Nearly there. I stopped to catch my breath outside of the classroom. "We made it," I panted. Shiemi opened the door. "Shiemi and Ms (l/n). Right on time. I'm Yukio Okurmara, your teacher. Would you like to introduce yourself?" Yukio greeted. This guy is my age and he's a teacher!? He must be smart. I nodded my head and faced the class. "I'm (f/n) (l/n). I came here from England and now I'm here to study exorcism. I'm sure we'll get along just fine," I introduced myself with a big smile. "Thank you. Please take a seat," Yukio told me. I nodded and sat down at an empty desk.
*time skip to after lesson because I am forever lazy*
"(Y/n), I'm going to Yuki's and Rin's place this evening. Would you like to come?" Shiemi asked me. I nodded and replied, "I would absolutely love to. I'd get to make new friends and I'd get to spend time with the best one right here." I pointed at her and she giggled. "Thanks (y/n)," she said. I noticed a boy with navy blue hair waving next to Yukio. "Hey, Shiemi, you coming?" He called. She nodded and we walked over to them. "Is it alright if (y/n) comes?" Shiemi inquired. "Of course she can. I don't think she'll destroy a house, unlike certain people." Yukio responded. He shot the boy a look, as if to say 'I mean you, imbecile. Don't do that.'
I held out my hand to the other one. "Hi, I'm (y/n), it's nice to meet ya." I greeted. He looked at my hand in confusion, which made me scratch the back of my head awkwardly. "Sorry, where I come from, we shake hands when we meet." He nodded and held out his hand. "Rin Okumura. If you're friends with Shiemi, I'm sure you're great." He greeted. I shook his hand. Not many people embrace English traditions here. They just expect me to put it away and bow. Thanks Rin. "Now, shall we be going? Rin has dinner preparations," Yukio suggested. "Yes sir," we all said in unison. We left the classroom.
Me and Rin ended up trailing behind Yukio and Shiemi due to a thrilling conversation about Rin's terrible maths abilities. I zoned out a while ago, sometimes nodding my head and saying "yes" or "I'll teach you." I noticed his ears were pointed. Like elf ears. Like the other demon ears. Probably just genetic. "(Y/n), have you got your temptaint yet?" Rin asked. The topic must of changed while I was off in my own little world. "Yeah, I have. I got it when I first came to Japan," I told him. "How?" He continued, genuinely interested in such a story. "Well, before I came to Japan, I was an athiest. I didn't believe in anything. Until I saw an extraordinary blue light emitting from a nearby monastery. I peered in through the window and saw a boy engulfed in blue flames and a man who had stabbed himself. I ran as fast as I could, but I got burned up my arm." I explained. I pulled up my sleeve to show him a scar.
"I had never been scared before. But that went against everything I knew, that I believed in. I was so confused and... I was scared for the first time in my life. A little while after, the men there convinced me of becoming an exorcist. It sounded like a good idea, so I could protect myself. Now I'm here." Rin looked away guiltily. "Hey, don't look so glum, you didn't do anything wrong." I told him. I gave him a large smile. "Yeah, you're right." He agreed. I flicked the tip of his ear. "By the way, your ears are cute. I like them," I complimented. I saw Rin go a bit red. Awwww is Rin embarrassed? Awwww. "Thanks. Your ears are normal, but I like your eyes." He told me. I started to blush too. Damn you blush! "Thanks Rin!" I thanked.
