October 20th, 1985 Malibu Coffee House

*RING* The door opened and Meryl and Tom walked in. They were laughing so hard and couldn't breath. "I told you I was gonna beat you!" Tom said.

"Yeah yeah whatever." Meryl replied and laughed. They both were running from security since they snuck onto a private area. But they wanted to go to the coffee shop and race each other there.

"Hi my name is Megan how can I help you two today?" A women with a Irish accent asked. Tom and Meryl both calmed down.

"Yeah can I have a medium iced coffee with 2 creams and 3 sugars, and what would you like sweetheart?"

"Can I have a cold brew?" Meryl answered.

"Yes of course and will that be all?" Megan asked and they both nodded. "That'll be out in a few minutes." Tom and Meryl both headed to a table with 2 seats and sat down.

"Wow that was tiring." Meryl said and they both laughed.

"It's good that the security guards gave up." Tom replied and they both laughed hysterically. He squeezed her hand under the table and they both smiled. "I love you Meryl Streep." He said but heard no reply back. She was in shock.

"Y...y..you what?" She stuttered.

"I Tom Hanks. Love you Meryl Streep." Tom answered back. No this couldn't be true it was too early Meryl thought to herself. I just got over the breakup with Don and now he suddenly says he loves me? Meryl thought in her head.

Don and Meryl broke up a month ago since it just wasn't working out for them. She went through a rough month without Don but she met Tom at a restaurant one Friday night.

"Iced Coffee and a cold brew." A young women said from behind the counter.

"I'll go get it." Tom said. He walked up to go get the drinks but was kind of confused on why Meryl wasn't talking and didn't say I love you back to him. "Does she not love me?" He questioned in his head. He sat back down after he grabbed the coffees. "Hey sweetheart are you gonna talk?"

"What? Oh yeah I..I..I.."

"You just need some time to think right?" Tom tried to finish her sentence.

"Yes I do I'm sorry I just need a few more weeks." Meryl replied but kinda felt ashamed.

"Oh no it's ok don't worry about it I totally understand." Tom said and took a sip of his iced coffee. "Excuse me I just gotta go use the restroom."

"Ok." She replied.

*RING* Pierce walked into the coffee shop but the bell on the door startled him. "Wow that's loud." He said to himself.

"Hello sir my name is Megan how may I help you today?" She asked.

"Yeah can I have a small cold brew?"

"Will that be all for today?" She asked.

"That's it. Hey are you from Ireland?" Pierce questioned.

"Yes I am sir."

"What town?" He asked

"Dublin." She answered.

"Oh it's beautiful there." He said and she nodded. "I'm just from Drogheda."

"Ahhh I few miles from Dublin." She replied. "Wait are you Pierce Brosnan? From Remington Steele?"

"Yes I am!" He answered ecstatic.

*RING* The door opened and Meryl looked up. There he was. The handsome guy he saw at the beach. He now had a stubble beard which made him look even more attractive. He was wearing blue jeans with a white shirt that had 3 buttons undone so you could see his chest hair. "Holy shit he's hot." Meryl said to herself.

"Wow is so nice to meet you!" Megan said.

"Yes and it's nice to meet you too!"

"Anyway your iced coffee will be right out."

"Do I have to pay?" Pierce asked.

"No it's on us."

"Oh wow thank you." Pierce thanked Megan.

"My pleasure." Megan replied. Pierce sat down at a table that was pointing directly at Meryl. He never noticed her until he sat down and wondered wear the newspapers were.

"Hmmm I wonder where they are." Pierce was eying the whole room but something caught his eyes and it definitely wasn't the newspapers. It was her again. Meryl Streep.

"Oh my he is sitting right across the room from me." Meryl spoke in her head. He was looking for something but just didn't know what he was looking for. Maybe it was the restroom? He suddenly looked at her. He smiled. She smiled right back.

"Alright I'm back." Tom said and sat down. What are you smiling at?" He turned around. He spotted Pierce. "You know him?"

"No I was just looking at the kids at the park across from here. There so cute. All so tiny." She giggled. "What took you so long?"

"What do you mean what took me so long? I was only in there for two minutes." He said and looked confused at her.

"Oh right." The reason why she thought he took forever was because he was staring at Pierce like he was a thousand diamonds.

He was looking at the most gorgeous human being in the world in his eyes. He suddenly smiled out of nowhere. "Fuck. Why am I smiling." He said in his head. But Meryl smiled back. "Oh well this isn't too bad." He mumbled under his breath. But suddenly a man with brown curly hair was walking down a hallway from the bathroom and sat down across from Meryl. "Oh shit that's Tom Hanks." He said quite loudly but luckily no one heard him. "No way there dating right?" He questioned in his head.

"Small Iced Coffee." A young women said from behind the counter. Pierce got up and walked towards the counter and trying not to look to the left at Meryl. "Cmon Pierce don't look you got this." He looked. "PIERCE YOU IDIOT." He said to himself but quickly turned his head back towards the coffee. He walked over to the counter like nothing happened. "Hey if I may ask where are the newspapers?"

"Right over there next to that lady." She answered.

"Thank you." He smiled but inside his head he said "For fuck sake. If this couldn't get any worse." He walked towards the newspaper rack trying not to look at Meryl luckily he didn't. Walking back to his seat he was relieved.

"Small Iced Coffee." Meryl heard and she watched as the handsome man got up. Trying not to stare but she just took a quick glimpse at him but quickly turned to Tom. At the exact same time Pierce quickly looked at Meryl but turned back.

"So how's your dog Shelby?" Tom asked which quickly caught Meryl off guard.

"Oh Shelby is great! She went to the vet and she is super healthy!" Meryl replied.

"That's good to hear." Tom said and Meryl nodded whilst taking a sip of her coffee. Pierce was walking towards the counter and suddenly started walking right at her. Closer and closer. Her heart starting beating super fast the closer he got to her. But, he just picked up a newspaper from the rack.

"What were you expecting him to do Meryl? Ask for your number in front of your boyfriend?" Meryl asked herself.

"I'm glad that was over." Pierce said to himself. He started reading the front of they news and he saw something that honestly made him pretty upset.

"ARE MERYL STREEP AND TOM HANKS DATING!?!?" He read as it was right in the middle of the paper. He flipped to the page that the answer was on. He read something that made him officially very upset.

"Yes the caption is true Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks are dating. They were first spotted at a Malibu beach holding hands and making out." He read to himself. "If only she could be mine." He looked up and saw Meryl laughing with Tom.
