Next day Randhir didn't came in front of Sanyukta. He doesn't has the courage to face her after their last night conversation so he tried to avoid her intentionally but at the same time he became restless every passing time. He became restless for her one glimpse but can't gather enough courage. He was sitting at the living room when Vidushi came there.

"What happened Randhir tum yeha par kyu baithe ho, subha se ek baar vi Sanyukta se milne nehi gaye! Aabhi doctor aane wale hain uske check up ke liye kamse kam aab toh upor chalo!" Vidushi said surprisingly.

"I can't Vidushi, I can't face Sanyukta anymore. I can't see hatred in her eyes for me." Randhir said helplessly.

"Randhir don't mind but yeh nafrat vi tumhara hi boya huya hain jo aaj tumhe katna padh raha hain. Aagar Sanyukta tumse nafrat karti hain toh phir uska reason tum ho, sirf tum." Vidushi said coldly.

"I know Vidushi it's all my fault but meri galti ki saza toh mujhe milni chahiye, Sanyukta ko kyu? I can't see her in this condition." Randhir said helplessly when Vidushi kept mum. Just then the doctor came thus they went to the upstairs.

"Doctor how is Sanyukta now?" Randhir asked as doctor came out after checking Sanyukta.

"Same as before, no improvement. Maine pehele hi kaha tha Mrs. Shekhawat ko hospital mein hi rahene dijiye lekin aap logo ne meri baat nehi mani, see the result!" Doctor shook his head.

"Toh keya hum Sanyukta ko wapas admit kar de?" Parth asked worriedly.

"Mr. Kashyap have you lost it! First discharge then readmission, is this any kind of joke? Aapko pata hain ke patient par kitna effect hoga, kitna stress hoga! Uski condition aur jyada kharab ho sakti hain. I suggest Mrs. Shekhawat ghar par hi rahe, main ek nurse bhej deta hu aur dekhiye ga ke unhen koi stress na ho paye." Doctor said firmly.

"As you say doctor." Randhir said thus the doctor left. Randhir came down and sat on the couch when Vidushi came there too.

"What's this Randhir, tum room ke aandar vi nehi gaye! Kab tak aaise bhagte rahoge? Kabhi na kabhi toh Sanyukta ko face karna hi padega na!" Vidushi said when Randhir lowered his lashes.

"Sanyukta ne breakfast kiya?" Randhir asked slowly.

"Nehi, I don't think tumhare bina karegi issi liye tumhe bulane aayi hu." She replied when Randhir kept mum.

"Look Randhir jo vi tumne kiya aab wo sab kuch tum chah kar vi badal nehi sakte lekin Sanyukta ki aakhri kuch dino mein uska saath toh de sakte ho. I know past ko badla nehi jaa sakta lekin uski future ko toh khubsoorat bana sakte ho, chahe thode dino ke liye hi kyu na ho! At least itna toh kar sakte ho na Sanyukta ke liye?" Vidushi asked hopefully.

"Please don't say like this, Sanyukta bilkul thik ho jayegi." Randhir pleaded.

"I wish that too Randhir but we all know the truth. That's why am telling Randhir jitna ho sake Sanyukta ke saath time spend kar lo, keya pata kaal yeh pal mile na mile." Vidushi said in a shaky voice when Randhir get up and went to their room lifelessly. He entered and saw Sanyukta was laying silently with her eyes closed when the breakfast was laying on the table still untouched.

"Sanyukta?" Randhir called her but she doesn't reply.  He came near her and sat down beside her.

"Sanyukta, breakfast kar lo." He said but again no reply when Randhir became panicked for a moment. He remembered Vidushi's words when skipped a beat. He put his finger near her nose to check her breath then kept his ear on her chest to check her heart beat which is beating slowly thus he take a relief of sigh.

"Darr gaye thay keya?" Came her whisper thus he looked at her and found her looking at him already.

"Daro mat, zinda hu aabhi." She smiled weakly when he gulped hard.

"Main tumhe kho nehi sakta Sanyukta." He said slowly.

"Really?" She asked mockingly when he dared to meet gaze with her.

"Subha se kaha thay, mujhse ek baar milne vi nehi aaye! Kaal raat ke liye gussa ho?" She pouted when he nodded a no.

"I thought you are angry on me, that's why." He mumbled slowly.

"Main kyu naraz hungi tumse?" She asked when he looked at her surprisingly.

"Aww mere datne ka bura laga, solly!" She smiled when he staring at her with an awe as he was witnessed the bubbly Sanyukta after a year.

"Nehi aaisa kuch nehi hain, tum breakfast kar lo." Randhir said taking the plate.

"Tumne kiya?" She asked.

"Sanyukta main kar lunga promise but tum aabhi kha lo, medicines vi leni hain." Randhir said thus she became agreed. He feed her and gave her the medicines when the nurse came. 

"Madam ko sponge bath de dijiye and be careful." Randhir said and left from there. He came down and sat on the couch when Vidushi served his breakfast.

"Aab tum vi breakfast kar lo, Sanyukta se promise kiya na so you can't deny." Vidushi said thus Randhir smiled a little and took the plate. He was having his breakfast when the nurse came down.

"Ji wo madam sponge bath lene se inkar kar rahi hain." The nurse informed thus Randhir became shocked.

"But why?" He asked confusingly.

"Pata nehi sir but mujhe bahar jane ko bola madam ne." The nurse replied.

"Thik hain main dekhta hu." Randhir said and went to their room.

"Sanyukta tumne sponge bath lene se inkar kyu kiya? Tum aabhi shower nehi le sakti stitches fresh hain na, toh phir sponge bath hi leni padegi." Randhir said surprisingly.

"Wo Randhir mujhe na ek stranger ke samne aaise bath lene mein sharam aati hain, bahut uneasy feel ho raha tha. Kaal Vidushi ne sponge bath diya tha still I felt uneasy aur yeh nurse toh stranger hain, I can't." She pouted.

"But aaise kaise chalega! Okay main Vidushi ko bulata hu wo tumhe sponge bath de degi." Randhir said and about to go when Sanyukta called him.

"Randhir tum hi de do na mujhe sponge bath, please." Sanyukta said biting her lower lip when Randhir looked at her shockingly.

"Main?" He asked shockingly.

"Haan tum, wo Vidushi ki samne vi mujhe sharam aati hain." She pouted.

"But main kaise!" He was hesitated.

"Kyu tum bhul gaye wo ek baar mujhe high fever huya tha toh phir tumne mujhe sponge bath diya tha. Aur jab maine tumse kaha tha ke ek nurse rakh lo toh phir yaad hain tumne keya kaha tha?" She asked innocently thus he nodded positively.

"Yehi ke I can see you like that only and no one else, not even a female nurse." He replied slowly.

"And I said then appointed a male nurse and you gave me a dearly glare." She giggled when Randhir smiled too saw her happy after ages.

"Give thanks to your star that you was ill or else tumhe batata main." He said playfully.

"Kyu?" She pouted when he wished to kiss her pout but controlled himself.

"Okay main tumhe sponge bath deta hu." He said when removed her blanket and started opening the buttons of her night suit when she closed her eyes nervously.

"Don't worry I'll be careful." He said slowly when removed her clothes. He took the wet sponge and started rubbing her bare skin when she blushed.

"Don't be shy Sanyukta, I did this before too." He said huskily when she turned totally red. He was rubbing her back softly when she smiled remembered their golden memory.

"Jab vi tum bimar hoti thi tumhara take care toh main hi karta tha, as if you are a baby." He said softly when Sanyukta's blush vanished away. As soon as the word baby hit her eardrums her body went stiff. The incident of her miscarriage flashed in her mind. Not only that the images of Randhir's make out with Ishika flashed in her mind too. She immediately pulled the blanket and covered her body next.

"Sanyukta what happened baby, sponge bath aabhi baki hain?" Randhir asked confusingly.

"Call the nurse." Sanyukta said in an icy cold voice.

"But thodi der pehele toh tum mana kar rahi thi!" He said surprisingly.

"I said call the nurse." She said harshly.

"Baby am doing na." He said and about to remove the blanket when she snatched the wet sponge from his hand.

"Randhir if you trying to remove the blanket or trying to touch me then I'll pour water on my stitches." She hissed in anger when Randhir became panicked.

"No Sanyukta please don't, okay I'll never touch you." He begged when she threw the sponge.

"Aab jau yeha se." She was huffing now when he obeyed her and left the room next.

"Kyu, main hi kyu Randhir? Why me? Aur kitna punish karna chahate ho mujhe, keya itna kaafi nehi hain?" She hide her face in between her palms.

"Chale gaye thay na tum uss Ishika ke pass mujhe aakela chhod kar toh phir aab wapas kyu aah rahe ho? Mujhe aur todne ke liye? But aab kuch baki nehi raha kyu ki main puri tarha se tut chuki hu! Jitna main unn sab karwi yaadon ko bhulane ki kousish karti hu utna hi tum mujhe yaad dilate ho!" She started sobbing badly.

"Please bhagaban mujhe aapne pass jaldi bula lo, aab mujhse aur nehi saha jata, nehi saha jata aur mujhse. Aaisi zindegi se maut achchhi hain! Waise vi aab main aur jeena nehi chahati." She begged when those saline water continued to drop down from her eyes.
