Chapter.03

Confessions.

Ryan stayed silent as he watched everyone say their goodbyes, small hugs given to both men who served the dinner. When it was Bryce's turn however, the blonde just simply gave a faint smile and it tore at him. He wanted to hold him one last time but that's not how it worked..

"Thanks for serving dinner man," Jonathan smiled. "It was great and I appreciate you letting us come."

Ryan just simply shrugged it off with a wide smile as he hugged the male. "It really was nothing. Come back next year if you'd like." The other male just grinned before walking out the door causing Smitty to look up at him with eyes that held one emotion, shock. He then knew his boyfriend was impressed with how he acted. "Ready to wash the dishes?" Smitty asked, avoiding the whole subject. Ryan laughed before hugging his boyfriend tightly.

Ryan didn't say a word as he pulled out his phone and leaned on the counter. He seen it was still on the delete screen so he sighed before hitting cancel on it. His gaze jerked up to the pile of dishes before he let out a long sigh.

Next Day...

Ryan awoke with a loud yawn as he stretched to feel his boyfriend shift in agitation to his movement. He couldn't help but feel tired. Pulling himself up, he gently got out of bed before making his way into the kitchen where he grabbed a cup of coffee and took a seat at the table.

His eyes scanned over the information in the wooden swirls of his table as he sipped on the hot coffee. Eventually he had to tear his gaze from it, a feeling of sickness taking hold of him shortly after. The kitchen was peaceful and silent enough to send a baby into a slumber for days.

After finishing his coffee he made his way to the sink where he washed his dish, scrubbing what stains were left on the white cup. His phone buzzed in his pocket causing him to tear his hands away from the sink with a groan, he dried his hands before checking the message he received from Brock.

Brock: Hey how was seeing Bryce?

Ryan: It was good. He actually talked to me.

Brock: I seen that. I also seen you two almost kiss.

Ryan: I don't know what you're talking about.

Brock: Sure. Well, Brian and I are heading to the coffee shop, free to join? Just you.

Ryan: I am. Smitty wouldn't be able to go anyways he has to work.

Brock: Great all the better.

Ryan felt a hand on his shoulder when he opened that message and he looked up to see Smitty grinning childishly as he read over the message. "What's he all the better?" The question made him shrug as he licked his lips and locked his phone again. "Nothing important. We just have plans to get coffee today and talk about Brian and his relationship. As normal." Smitty just gave a nod as he took a seat in front of Ryan who sent one last message to Brock before getting an instant reply with the time.

He stared at his boyfriend before looking at the clock, a small smile plastering his lips. "By the way babe," he began, locking eyes with Smit. "You've only got five minutes to get to work." The other male nearly spit out his coffee as he jumped to his feet and dashed upstairs. Ryan smiled as he listened to the male stomp up the stairs.

Ryan pulled himself off the counter and walked upstairs to get dressed as well. On his way up, Smitty passed him saying a quick goodbye before leaving. He only shook his head with that same smile on his lips, he then let his fingertips run over the railway until they fell off. His brow raised as he reached the top and seen his boyfriends clothing tossed at the foot of them.

He didn't bother to pick them up and instead of heading to their room he went into the bathroom where he looked over his image in the mirror, hazel eyes staring back at him like a ghost. Ryan turned on the cold water before splashing his face, letting the cold water run down his fair skinned cheeks, he dried off his wet hands.

Diner..

Chatter filled the room as he sat at a table with his friends who were talking about something he didn't understand. Honestly he didn't know why the two invited him but he did know it had to be about Bryce. Since Brock seemed interested in the topic of him and the blonde on text and in person.

"Ryan?"

That voice made his heart stop as his heart skipped a beat. At first he turned around but when his eyes locked with those deep blue ones he knew that there was no escaping this.

He had been sat up.

"Bryce! Hey!" The blonde only grinned wider as he stared down at him, his eyes beaming with joy. "What're you doing here?" He asked. "I didn't think you came here." Ryan looked over at his two friends who were pretending to be reading the menu. He didn't say anything for a moment, "Uh yeah. You know I'm just here for these two."

Bryce nodded before taking their order. Once he left hazel eyes jerked to the two men grinning like idiots in their seats.
