[(Y/N)'s POV]

I slowly opened my eyes to see a bland ceiling. I shifted my gaze around the room. A desk, a computer, a bookshelf, a closet, a nightstand, and the bed I was laying on. I got up from my bed and stood up, I looked down to see I was already dressed in a school uniform. I sighed and walked to my bedroom door, then opened it. I looked into the blank white space in front of me. I took a step forward, a wooden floor forming under my foot and slowly spreading around. As I walked forward the ground formed around my feet and spread to create the walls of a hallway. I walked normally, not waiting for the ground to form, only knowing that everything would form around me. I turned right and began walking down a set of steps that, once again, formed as I moved. My foot hit the wooden floor of the ground level, and I began walking straight ahead. I reached out and grabbed a seemingly imaginary door handle, it formed around my hand then made a complete door. I opened the door and was met with a bright sunny day, in a suburban area. Suddenly a patch of the sky's pixels glitched and shifted out of place, but returned to normal a moment later. I walked fully out of the house and shut the door behind me, then exited the gate that enclosed my home. I began thinking over the false memories I had implanted in my mind. There were certain things not in existence as I walked towards the school. Some things in the distance and a bit of landscape that wasn't exactly necessary.

Sayori: "Heyyyy!"

I looked over my shoulder to see Sayori running towards me, flailing her arm as a frantic form of a wave, H̶̻̩̏i̵̩̎̐ḏ̷̛̪̕î̴̠̕n̵̨͐g̴̗̀̉ ̷͓̬̅b̶͎͋̑e̴͚̣̓̈h̶̳͐͌i̴̲͉͌n̴̛͇̄d̶̤̦̑̔ ̵̮́ḥ̸͐́e̵͇͂̚r̷͍̎͝ ̵͙͂j̸̩̃̈́o̷̱͍͛̈ỹ̵͓,̶̞͆͂ ̷̭̰́̅w̵̧̞̄a̸̝̮͌̅s̷͖͝ ̸̣͛͠ȗ̷͙̬̿n̷̠̄m̷͈͋̽ȅ̴͍͂n̶͙͚̏t̵̬̯̕í̸̲͕ȍ̵̯̼ṇ̶̖͛é̴̫͜d̵͓̏̀ ̶̳̓͝ḋ̵̺͇e̷̪̔̿s̴͎̔̉p̵̖͇̉̑a̸̭͐i̴̗̿r̷̡̢̨̭͓͕͙̳͈͍̈́̔̑̂̃̈́͋͆͂̐̂̂̈̕. I waited for her to catch up with me. I let her steady her breath before speaking.

Me: "Sayori. You're slightly earlier than usual today."

Sayori: "I still overslept... but thanks for waiting up for me-"

She suddenly stopped all movement, as did everything around us. She was trying to say a name in the script, my name to be precise, but couldn't due to the fact I never inputted one, nor did the game even realize it was running. A name, huh? Guess I can use what people used to call me. A pop up appeared in my eyes, reading "Please enter your name." I entered what I decided on, P̴͈̔̒ã̴͎͈͘t̷̯̹͝͠h̸̺̒̿ẹ̴͂t̶̲̚ͅi̵̭̳̊̎c̵͈̏ ̵͎̖̲̠̥̬̱̆͋̏͆͆̇͒̊̉͘͠ (Y/N). I closed the pop up and turned my attention to Sayori again, she suddenly continues her sentence, and everything once again began moving.

Sayori: "-(Y/N)."

Me: "It's not a big deal. Let's get going, or else we'll be late."

She smiled widely and nodded, practically skipping beside me. We began walking towards the school, along with the shadowed silhouettes that represented other people.

Sayori: "So have you figured out what club you're going to join?"

Sayori looked up at me smiling with hope. Sayori bothered me about joining a club last year, and I mistakenly said I'd chose one this year to get her to stop talking.

Me: "I haven't thought of one. I doubt I'll really join one."

Sayori: "Hey! But you said you'd pick one this year! How are you going to learn to socialize and make friends if you don't try to meet new people?"

No matter what I do I'll only meet the characters that have been designed and scripted to this game. All of them hollow empty vessels designed by a game developer. The one beside me sounded like a normal human being. But she is unaware of the world she lives in. F̴̿̀͜o̵͔̎̋ṟ̵̢̽̂ ̵̰̌͠n̵̰̆o̷̹̗͋w̴̧͓͋.

Me: "I have no clue what club to join. But I'll think about it today and look at a few."

Sayori: "Promise?"

Me: "I promise Sayori."

Sayori: "Yay!"

She cheered. We soon arrived at the school, most of it wasn't even there, it was simply a blank white shape. We entered the building and as I walked everything took shape, just like at my house. Soon everything in sight was fleshed out, it looked like a normal Japanese style school. Sayori said goodbye and began walking towards a random classroom. I looked in at my classroom, as I thought, it was empty. I sighed and took a seat at a random desk by the windows. I looked outside and saw a blue sky and hazed background. Every once in awhile I'd see a patch of pixels be disrupted before returning to normal. Me: "It's been so long since I've seen the real sky. Felt real sunlight. Felt... anything really."

I leaned back in my seat and looked to the ceiling.

Me: "I wonder why I was cursed like this. Being trapped in my own computer. Forced to just wander around anything I can find. I know I downloaded this game a while ago. But I never got the chance to play it until now... although this is more like living then playing."

I looked down at my hands and watched as they glitched into distorted pixels, only to reform a moment later.

I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard Sayori's voice come into the room.

Sayori: "(Y/N)?"

Me: "Oh, hi Sayori. I didn't see you come in."

Sayori: "Jeez (Y/N), you're worse than me sometimes..."

Sayori: "I'm impressed!"

Not sure that's something to be proud of.

Me: "Shouldn't you be headed to your club?"

Sayori looked away shyly, pressing her index fingers together and refusing to make eye contact.

Sayori: "Well... I thought you might need some motivation to join a club..."

Me: "Okay?"

Sayori: "So maybe.... you'd like to visit my club...?"

Sayori has helped create a literature club. Although I had no knowledge of her ever actually being interested in literature. I'm actually almost positive Sayori just wanted to help found a new club because it would be fun.

Me: "Sure, I wasn't exactly sure what club I was gonna join anyway."

Sayori cheered and grabbed onto my hand, nearly dragging me out of the desk as she led me out of the classroom and down the hall. As we walked up the steps I noticed the visual glitching from my hands spreading to Sayroi's fingers. I snatched my hand away. Sayori looked at me for a moment before blushing and mumbling an apology.

As we walked toward Sayroi's club she began rambling about the other members, however I didn't pay attention, I just looked around at the school halls. Soon we found ourselves outside another classroom door, the upper level of this school was mainly for clubs and third years, so I had no recollection of anything around here.

Sayori: "Ready?"

I nodded, simply wishing to progress. Sayori grabbed the handle of the door.
