(A/N: I'm not really good with action so bear with me)

It was past noon when Daniel was wondering where to find Leo in the midst of the forest because the young lad secretly went out while he was sleeping.

"Leo!" He called out. "Where did he go?" He muttered to himself.

While walking, his stomach grumbled and the tree that he passed by was tempting as hunger still thrives from Daniel's stomach. He decided to take a break and took some. After finishing his simple snack, he continued on his journey even though the hunger did not wear off.

"This boy is giving me a headache." He grumbled after countless hours of finding him, he was still stuck with finding Leo.

Soon, he heard noises from beyond the bushes nearby, he cleared his way through and sighed in relief when he saw the boy swimming in the river together with River Fairies.

Oh no.

Instead of relief, fear soon replaced the former expression visible on Daniel's face as he called Leo to get out of the water.

"Leo! Get out of there this instant!" His manly voice boomed throughout the forest.

The boy's head turned to him and looked at him in confusion.

River fairies were no good. They may look like innocent and magical creatures but what they're about to do to Leo was the contrast.

Leo's face was then etched with curiosity when the fairies started to caress his arms but little did he know that they were ready to slice his throat in half.

"Your time to shine buddy." Daniel said as he took the sword that was attached to his belt out. He mentally thanked his instincts for telling him to bring the silver weapon.

Daniel began to clutch his sword and immediately charged at the river where Leo and the fairies were.

One of them glared at Daniel and began to attack him, he showed his dirty and sharp claws and swung it towards him. Daniel managed to avoid his attacks.

This time, Daniel took offense and started to give the male fairy his own attacks, some were successful, but some weren't. His eyes were then fixated on the stone axe that emerged from the male fairies hands.

"I can create weapons boy, so be careful." He cackled.

"Hyung help!" Leo screamed as the other two female fairies held him in place.

This caused Daniel to look at the boy, giving one of the male River Fairies an opportunity to swing his claws aiming at Daniel's delicate face. This action caused a cut to appear on his right cheek as he fell back.

Daniel hurriedly rose from the water just in time to block the incoming attack from the evil fairy using his sword. With all his strength, he kicked the fairy causing him to fall backwards towards the opposite direction.

It took him by surprise when he felt a stinging pain on the back of his head, he once again fell to the wet ground and touched the back of his head.

"Shit." He muttered as he saw his blood mixing with the water around him.

He turned around to see a female fairy smirking at him, now only one fairy was holding Leo, and it was a girl too.

"Come here bastard." He charged once again towards the fairy who hit his head. The fairy attacked but he blocked it with his sword, he saw an opening and took the chance so he kneeled down, transferred his sword to his free hand and pierced the fairy's stomach.

The fairy growled as she fell on her knees, so out of too much anger she used her remaining energy to swing her claws and this time it successfully tore Daniel's upper clothing and left a big wound on his abdomen.

On the other hand, Leo secretly glanced at a decent sized rock lying not too far from them, he secretly and slowly reached for it, luckily he was successful so he hid it behind his back while he made another attempt to break free from the female fairy that was guarding him. Daniel groaned but he still managed to punch the evil creature.

The fairy groaned in pain as Daniel heaved a deep breath, with one final swing, Daniel ended her life, her remains slowly fading away with only her greenish blood left in the waters to inform everyone who sees it its horrible fate.

Out of too much fatigue Daniel let himself fall onto the ground, not minding at all the water flowing through his body.

Seeing her comrades down, the final fairy who was guarding Leo decided to kill the boy herself so she slowly revealed her own claws. Leo saw this as the perfect time to use the rock.

His hands trembled. Can I really kill her? He thought.

"Go for it Leo!" Daniel shouted weakly while still lying on the ground but now his front was on the ground and he was facing Leo, he was looking at the young boy as if he's urging him to do it.

Leo clenched his eyes shut and with all his might, he raised his hands, but before he got to hit her, he felt the weight on his side disappear. When he opened his eyes he saw the fairy already on the ground with burnt hands. He turned to face his Daniel hyung to see his raised hands parallel to where the fairy was lying at the current moment.

But what caught his attention were the dying reddish flames on Daniel's hands.

Even though still weak, the latter managed to get up and catch the wingless fairy and held her fists.

"Don't even think about it." Daniel glared at the fairy.

Both males were surprised when suddenly a little stone knife emerged from her hands. When Daniel was about to make a move she spoke.

"I'd rather kill myself than die in the hands of a southborn." She yelled before stabbing her own self.

Daniel stood up when all that was left was her green blood.

"You could've done that earlier you know?!" Leo startled Daniel.

"And you could've stabbed her already you know!" Daniel mocked back.

"If you didn't run around at this hour, we wouldn't have been on the brink of death." Daniel scolded that made Leo sink, the 14 year old boy hung his head low.

Daniel sighed. "Let's go back, I'll treat my own wounds."

Leo nodded immediately. They were almost killed from trying to get away from the hands of the fairies but thanks to Daniel's determination and strength he was able to finish off the quatret and save Leo.

It was already night time, they stayed at the river for a few more minutes to at least rest and wash themselves to lessen the dirt on their bodies and besides the river did provide them light as it was no ordinary river, it was one of the glowing rivers in the kingdom. It emitted different varieties of light colors like blue, green, purple and more so it did entertain them even just for a while.

As they start to walk however, guilt started to eat the young lad as a whole as he could visibly see the small cuts on Daniel's face and the undeniably big wound on his abdomen.

He felt bad that he caused this to his hyung.

"I am deeply sorry hyung." He mustered up the courage to apologize.

Daniel stopped and looked at Leo, the older of the two then gave Leo a brotherly type of smile before ruffling the boy's hair.

"It's no big deal, I grew up with these kind of scenarios so you really should not be guilty." The older reassured.

Leo nodded and smiled back.

"So you were a southborn hyung? You were born in the southern kingdom, that explains the fire from your hands." His eyes sparkled with pure awe.

Daniel chuckled. "Yeah."

"You know hyung I always see Carrans like yourself cool." Leo grinned.

"Oh yeah? You like fire? But you are a northborn right? A Valley, and not just any Valley, you're the foster child of the King and Queen of the north." Daniel chuckled. "Aren't you supposed to like air?"

"Of course I do like air, I just consider you guys cool, you know that we Valleys are brave but more reserved right? While you guys are just simply carefree."

"Uhuh, of course I would know, me and especially my sister are royal warriors of your kingdom." Daniel explained.

"Really? Who is your sister?" Leo asked.

"Her name is Seulgi, she's older than me."

Leo's eyes widened. "Seulgi? As in Kang Seulgi noona? As in Kang Seulgi noona who I always thought was also cool? Woah." Leo awed making Daniel laugh, the boy was fanboying over her sister just now.

"Yep."

"Wait does that mean you're that hyung who she's always-"

"Nagging about?" Daniel chuckled. "Yeah, that would be me."

Leo laughed too.

"Yeah, she always nags about you, but at least that means she cares for you yeah?" Leo smiled, so did his hyung.

"Yeah, and for your knowledge, I love and care for her equally just as much, I just really like to get out and set on a journey." He shrugged.

"And by the way, we should really be returning you to your parents, I heard they are worried sick, and at the same time I could pay my sis a visit." Daniel grinned.

"Yeah, that may be a good idea." Leo agreed.

"It is final then, once we go back to the cottage you help me tend to my wounds, we fix our belongings, get some much needed sleep, and we'll travel back to the kingdoms first thing in the morning. How does that sound?" Daniel inquired.

"Sounds good to me."

Quick question should I give my boy Kang a side/love story? In short should I write about him and Jihyo? You know just like how I write about Sungjae and Sooyoung?
