sin three
WITH ONE LEG CROSSED OVER THE other, E tapped her slender fingers against the table. She was currently in the deceased General's room. In less then 20 minutes, she obtained control of the militia's and manipulated all of the commander's.
She had everything in her grasp.
Now why did she feel like she didn't then?
A knock came at the door, and she perked her head up, straightening her posture.
"Come in." E called out, examining a glass of wine at her left. She spun her finger around the rim, and it made a small sound like music. She brought the cup to her nose, slowly sniffing it, before taking a drink.
The door opened, and in came a handsome young man. He had a pale skin tone, with blonde hair on his head. He had cat-like eyes, that were brown and seemed to pierce through the air like a knife whenever he looked through them. In his long, slender hands was a stack on manilla folders.
"Where should I put them?" He asks, and she could tell from how his eyes lazily blinked at her that he would fall asleep any moment.
E held out her hand and the boy stared at it. "Give them here." She commanded, and the man reluctantly placed the folders in her hand. He turns to leave, and she taps a finger on the desk, making his attention turn towards her.
"What do you want?" He snaps, and E raises one eyebrow. She stares at him, and he glares back, but doesn't back down.
"You are quite an interesting person. What is your name, child?" E asks, setting down her drink with one hand, and flipping through the pages absentmindedly.
"I am not a child." He says through clenched teeth. E waved him off.
"Until you can switch around that temper, you are as much as a child as anyone else here. Alone, helpless. With no one to aid you." E said calmly back, skimming through another folder.
"You say that, but I can tell you're just as lonely." He spoke, every word sincere and full of meaning. E looked up, surprised. She wasn't startled to see a fire behind the man's eyes, a fire that she has seen before.
It's a fire that she loves diminishing.
"Well, when you live for a thousand years, it gets boring." E stated, cupping her chin with her hand gracefully.
"A thousand years? Why would someone ever want to do that? Why would you ever want to do that?" The boy asked, leaning against the wall. He tilted his head slightly, and he definitely had eyes that pierced through her.
E leaned back in her chair, examining every flaw and beauty of him. He was definitely pretty, with his blonde hair and dark brown eyes. Hell, if she even looked closer, she could see a bit of makeup on the boy, and that caused her to fumble with her words. There are many men that have dumbfounded her with their beauty, but it always lay waste.
Exhaling loudly, she asked the boy: "You have regrets, yes? You make mistakes, but you think it will only have you rethink your choices in the future, make sure that your history doesn't repeat?" The cat-eyed man could only nod his head, his blonde locks almost covering his amazing eyes.
"Imagine if with one choice that you made that you thought would be useless to you, change your life forever. And you had to bear with the fact that you did it. What would you do?" E questioned, her fingers tapping against the glass.
"I..." E glanced up, and saw that the boy was staring at her with pity. He was at loss for words, as he couldn't bring himself to say anything.
"What's your name, mister?" E asked softly, leaning forward in her chair a bit more.
"Yoongi." The beautiful man, Yoongi, answered. He then opened the door and left, closing it shut behind him.
Yoongi. Yoongi, Yoongi, Yoongi.
"Yoongi." She tested herself, and was pleased to find that it rolled off her tongue easily. "Why I do hope to see you around my home." She mumbled, knowing that he couldn't even hear her anymore.
A strange feeling in her stomach came, and it was all too familiar. She shoved it down, and made her heart like titanium. Unbreakable, unmovable.
Unlovable.
