there didn't seem to be a surprise that he was the one to open the doors to the office, sticking a head of messy hair around the wooden frame to smile cheekily at a bunch of men in professional attire, looking very serious and unamused. the reputation of 'appearing only when pleased' was starting to become more apparent to describe the male.

"taehyung," his manager addressed him once he fully stepped inside the office, "so you are alive and well." he said the same thing every time after taehyung missed some meeting.

the joke was starting to get old, well it should have by now, but the rockstar just grinned some more and let the bottom of his leather slippers slap against the floor when he walked over to the desk. "yes i'm sure your bank accounts are happy about that." he looked up at one of the men, probably someone from the label that didn't even listen to music but instead enjoyed the fancy things that came with the business.

his manager narrowed his eyes and looked up at the two males he had been talking to, "we can resume shortly." it was a dismissive statement, those men nodding with slight bows before exiting the office. it was a clean office, too neat and well kept to even suggest someone was even using it. there was a large map on one wall, countries displayed and pushpins stuck to the ones he'd soon be conquering. taehyung walked up to it this time and let his eyes memorize all the name once more. "i want to get an extra tour bus, and a babysitter for ms. euna's kids." he started to list off the notes in his brain. "pay them double and make sure they have access to online schooling."

the man at the desk was listening intently, but none of it was being written down or calls being made to get those things done. taehyung noticed this too when all he heard was silence, turning to his manager and raising an eyebrow. "don't start." was all the older had said, now fully ignoring the rockstar and going back to the folder on his desk. taehyungs jaw dropped and a dramatic groan escaped, "oh come on namjoon, i only like ms. euna. she actually talks to me and is the only person that makes sitting there getting ready for so long not so boring." he plopped down in a chair, a large one cushioned with dark brown leather covering it.

taehyung had the same relationship with his manager that he had with his head stylist. over the years that working relationship just shifts so gradually it's hard to pin point when coworkers turns to family. maybe that's why he could get away with whining and asking for so much, it would seem like he was a spoiled rich man wanting everything — but really it was much like a kid asking his father for another cookie before bed when he knows he already had two more than normal.

it's like he craved that attention, knowing people were there for him and would go out of their way to get things done that would make him happy. when it came to being shipped around to lessons and vocal exercises and so many nights without sleep because in the end this was all still a job, taehyung liked knowing he could look to these people and know there really was more there.

"it's already done taehyung," namjoon sighed, knowing this is how his day was going to go. if the boy had gone to the meeting, this would have been discussed then, but instead with his lovely job as manager he got to explain it all two times. "ms. euna will come back after the tour, for now we already have a replacement as the head stylist. more team members have been added because this is a much larger project than any shows done here in korea. we need the people to help this go smoothly."

"how many people." taehyung asked. the playfulness was gone, this was business now. he leaned forward to take the folder his manager had handed him, flipping through the list of names and contacts — bodyguards, stage crew, camera men, a new vocal coach, bus drivers and numbers for the airlines they'd be landing at. the numbers and words all started to melt together and form a mess of ink on the paper, so taehyung just closed it and set it back on the desk. technically he didn't really need to know any of these things, he just got on the bus or the jet and waited to be stuck on the stage to get lost in the music and cheers.

"get up." namjoon said, he also stood and came around from the desk. "let's go meet some. of course you would have already if you were-"

"-at the meeting last night i know." taehyung finished his sentence for him, earning a proud grin and hand clapping him on the shoulder. the two males left the office, bottoms of shoes meeting white floors that shone so nice it almost looked wet. taehyung just followed the leader, like a puppy on a leash on the way to meet some buddies. he hoped they'd be buddies at least, especially if they're all ditching ms. euna in seoul.

taehyung frowned again thinking about it. that frown turned into nothing when his manager brought him back to the room he was just in, star stickers and doodles gone. "ms. euna," namjoon greeted when they walked inside.

there were more people here now, maybe six, taehyung didn't care to really count. he only knew the two from before, and a couple of the other ladies here now were part of his wardrobe team already. "hello." ms. euna smiled. she had been talking to that tall man, the one that was all dark eyebrows and brooding looks around the room. those eyes only seemed to soften when she talked to him, but then again euna had that effect on everyone. it's like she adopted anyone she talked to and now she was either their second mother or even second grandmother.

"i was just sharing some of the boys secrets," she whispered it to the manager, but made eye contact with taehyung and winked. he knew she was only teasing, but of course he had his habits when getting ready for a show. that mainly came from the inability to sit still knowing he'd be back where he belonged, stomping on a stage with the lights beating down and making his tan skin glow from the different colored lights and sweat dancing across his body.

namjoon chuckled, and he he cleared his throat to get the attention in the room. "taehyung, you know the girls," he started with the people who were already on the team, familiar faces and polite smiled as they bowed to the rockstar. he smiled back at them, a group of three that helped ms. euna in this room when it came to finishing touches and costume design. the actual choices and sketches came from the head designer, taehyung would definitely consider him one of his closest friends and he wished he was here now too.

namjoon was still talking, taehyung blinked and realized he should have been listening and not zoning out to think of his friend that called the girls who helped him his trained little parrots. that came from the way they'd always repeat what he said to make sure they got it right the first time. taehyung remembers how'd he'd be sitting getting his makeup done, hearing the soft echos from the shy girls and he could only think of that dumb nickname making him giggle. ms. euna would scold him for moving and he'd only smile some more.

"and this is our new head stylist." that's what had taehyung really paying attention now. the glazed over look in his eyes from reminiscing was gone as he blinked in the direction of who namjoon was talking about. it had to be those damn eyes, all dark and blank and way too serious for taehyungs liking.

the male with dark black hair, somehow just looking darker than normal and matching the rest of whatever aesthetic he was going for, bowed his head just a bit to greet the rockstar. no words passed those thin pink lips, just a line of flesh across a stoic face that taehyung was starting to think never moved ever. "nice to meet you..." taehyung trailed off, probably sounding a little rude in the way he was clearly asking for a name without being upfront and professional about it.

"jeon jungkook. nice to meet you, mr. kim." he had a clear satoori accent, a little deeper than expected but oddly fitting for the man. he spoke very bland, too professional and very business-like. taehyung didn't remember the last person on his team that called him mr. kim, he just hummed. "ah." was all he said.

the introductions for now were done, these were the people he'd interact with most that were newly hired. taehyung didn't really talk to the stage crew or the bus drivers until the actual shows and that was the time he tried to be most friendly and say his thank you's. right now all he could focus on was that stupid satoori speaking man that said nothing more than five words this whole time. how the heck was taehyung suppose to be around this guy for months when he was so accustomed to rambling on with euna and playing with her kids when they had school off and got to come visit. he groaned, knowing that playful time was so done for now.

"when were you going to tell me mr. bodyguard actually does makeup?" taehyung asked in a whisper once people started to do their own thing, his manager leaving and the designers focusing on stage outfits and what else would need to be bought and packed to come with them. ms. euna rolled her eyes, "you never let me speak." she was teasing him.

"jesus where did namjoon find this dude, in an alley outside a bar." he was still whispering, partly because the guy he was talking about was still in the room despite being a couple yards away. he looked to be organizing a cosmetics suitcase, the kind that opened up into a desk with the small table and mirror with lights. that was the one taehyung normally used on the bus if he was getting ready super quick, or sometimes when he got bored and just wanted to play with the glitter.

"your manger doesn't hang out in alleys outside bars, that's you dear." she said it like an insult, but somehow it was still sweet and taehyung just nodded in agreement. he was childish but not dumb, he knew where he liked to go and spend his nights. euna wasn't done though, "he's got the experience taehyung," she said, "he's going to fit well in your team."

taehyung just hummed and snuck some glances at the man. there was no way he was that much older than the rockstar, he looked meanier and more cold, but there was no sign of older age showing on those features. "he doesn't have family i'm guessing." taehyung said, still looking at him. his stomach churned, maybe nervous that he'd get caught staring and have to see those dark eyes again.

ms. euna just hummed and zipped up her bag, "maybe you'll learn more about it on your own. he's sweeter than he seems." she smiled at the boy, already knowing it would be hard to not see him for so long when becoming accustomed to so many days in a row being in each others presence. "here, before i forget." she took out a folded piece of paper and handed it to taehyung, "my little ones said to hang it up in the your hotel rooms."

then ms. euna said goodbye, one last hug and promises of phone calls. taehyung was still sitting in the stylist chair, long legs outstretched in front of him while he looked down at the paper. he traced the crayon with a ring clad index finger, smiling at the purple stick figures standing on a stage, one tall and the two other tiny and little, but they all carried a different colored guitar with smiles so big.

he took some tape off the makeup table, sticking the painting on the mirror, making a promise that he'd smile like that one day and really mean it.
