the days were going by so fast. once wardrobe was in place the next things were vocal lessons and then sound check and practice at the stage. taehyung knew he would have to shape up his act, no more nights out and no more sleeping until the late afternoon. it was weird to be up this early, blinking from the sunlight and already missing his bed once he stepped outside the apartment building.

"good morning mr. kim, bright and early today i see." his driver said, smiling up through the rear view mirror at the rockstar.

taehyung just hummed and opened his bag, taking a long sip from the stainless steel bottle and wincing after. his driver rose an eyebrow through the mirror, but taehyung just sighed and put the bottle back. "it's just one sip." he defended himself.

he'd start his good habits soon. today was too early.

"this is new." the driver said. he had gotten the address texted to his phone earlier, not recognizing it from the usual clubs or leisure locations that the rockstar asked to be dropped off at. instead it was in the opposite direction of that part of the city, maybe fifteen minutes of a drive before pulling over outside a basic looking building.

taehyung just nodded and got out of the car, "wait for me." he added before closing the door. the thought only came to him last night, when realizing the day was coming quick and the month was passing fast. taehyung couldn't help but look back at past performances, his best and worst and just making mental notes of things to do better. he was playing with his hair in bed last night when he watched, realizing it's been the same bland brown for too long.

that's why he was walking up the dark staircase in this apartment building. it smelled funny and the lighting was bad, illuminating the hall in a odd orange glow. if taehyung got murdered here he wouldn't even be surprised or bothered, his blood would just match the stains already on the carpet.

taehyung isn't entirely sure why he was here now, the apartment number reminded him where he actually was and what he was doing. it was the jack daniels sitting in his tummy that gave him that boost to finally knock.

he still couldn't prevent the way his stomach swirled when the door finally opened, and the satisfied little grin on the rockstars face at seeing his makeup artist looking back at him in such surprise.

"taehyung?" the ravenette was not expecting to see him today. it was vocal day, nothing in his expertise was beneficial for that.

the male just rose an eyebrow, "are you going to invite me in?" taehyung asked, deep voice filling the halls and the adding something to the blandness of the building. "jungkook." he let the mans name fall off his tongue slowly, seeing how he scratched the back of his neck and nodded, not finding any words.

jungkook just cleared his throat and stepped aside, completely thrown off that he out of everyone had shown up at his door.

"how do you even know where i live." the older one asked, watching as taehyung didn't take off his coat or shoes.

the rockstars lips turned up into that famous grin again, looking at the other who was still feeling awkward. "you're an employee at the company. i just asked." he said, "and i always get what i want." he added at the end.

that had the awkwardness leaving, jungkook just nodding at that, "right." he said, "well what do you want now." it might have sounded rude, but it didn't occur to the younger as he let his eyes wander around the apartment from what he could see where he stood. there wasn't much that said anything about jungkook, no photos or decorations or anything that showed the man actually had a personality.

"you're my stylist." he said, "i need a new hair color." taehyung was playing with his bangs now, seeing the ends of it since he hasn't gotten a haircut in a long while. they were brown and dull looking, definitely in need of a change. "get your shoes." he spoke up again when the ravenette didn't move just yet, but finally jungkook stopped looking so confused and shoved his feet into a random pair of boots sitting there beside the front door.

"am i getting paid for this?" he asked once they left the apartment, locking the door and going for the weird smelling staircase. taehyung held a hand to his chest and mock pouted, "i thought we could bond."

jungkook snorted, an attempt to laugh, at least that's what taehyung assumed. either way it was nice to hear other than the usual two or three words. "i don't want to bond with you." the ravenette said, and taehyung was mildly hurt by that, until he quietly added at the end, "weirdo." he mumbled it, but taehyung heard it and smiled anyways.

"this one." taehyung said, walking to the car that waited patiently for him by the curb. he slid in to the backseat and scooter over to the other side to make room for the other male. his driver put his phone in the cup holder, peeking up through the rear view mirror at his passengers in the back.

jungkook got in and shut the door, clearing his throat a bit and shifting awkwardly on the nice leather seats. he's never been in a car with a designated driver like this, where he just sat and waited and took people places. "good morning." he said to the man in the front, receiving a nod in return.

"where to?" the driver asked his boss, starting the car and already pulling out onto the street. taehyung hummed and then recited an address, which wasn't actually an address and just really bad directions to a market that was at the corner of two buildings across from a sushi place. it was good that the driver knew his way around the city and could figure out where the rockstar wanted to go.

taehyung looked out the window and started to put on his sunglasses again, a mask tucked under his chin for now, "come on." he said to the male beside him once the car pulled over. "do i wait mr. kim?" his driver asked, and he just nodded again in response.

"hm, no." taehyung decided, glancing over the top of the car at the ravenette. he was squinting from the sun, that dark hair and dark outfit making him stand out against everything else. "i think we'll walk. it's nice out today." he smiled at that, saying goodbye to the driver and meeting his makeup artist on the sidewalk. jungkook was waiting quietly, hands shoved in his pockets and still wondering why he was here and not eating leftovers on his couch.

the two males walked into the market, one grabbing a shopping cart while the other still had his hands in his pocket. "okay, so i'm thinking green." taehyung said, turning away from the groceries section and heading more towards cosmetics and feminine products. the shelves were filled with hair items, from shampoos to curl taming serums. the rockstar walked down to the hair dyes and stopped to stare at all the variety of shades. "green?" jungkook repeated and just by the look on his face that was not the one he would have chosen.

taehyung sighed and had a hand on his hip, raising an eyebrow when looking over at the male. "well shit. what color then?" he asked. jungkook finally took his hands from his jean pockets and stepped forward to see the boxes. he didn't say anything, and he didn't treat it like a dumb question either. technically it was something he was good at, picking things out to accentuate already flawless features that could be easily paired with other things too.

he actually thought about it, as well as glancing over at the rockstar to take in his look before nodding and making up his mind. "this one." jungkook said, handing the other male the box he had chosen.

taehyung looked at the box, tossing it from hand to hand while he thought. it was definitely different, not one he was thinking of doing, but the box was thrown into the grocery cart and he smiled. "sick." the male said, and he started to walk. jungkook just chuckled and followed along through the aisle. "now we need snacks." the younger said, leading the two of them down the chip and soda aisle.

"do you have anything in mind?" jungkook asked, he had shoved his hands back into his pockets, and kind of followed along like a shadow just waiting to be told what to do. taehyung just shrugged. "not really. let's pick anything." he said.

the ravenette was chewing on the inside of his cheek. he wasn't prepared for this today, not mentally at least. even when the rockstar showed up at his door he was surprised, but then assumed it would be work related. now he was standing and staring at colorful bags of food and supposedly needing to choose. jungkook typically ordered food and groceries to his door, he doesn't remember when he last actually went grocery shopping like this — that was a lie, a big fat one that had his chest tighten. he knew exactly when.

now was not the time for this, the ravenette swallowing hard and stepping forward to grab some purple doritos and then a few cans of diet coke, dumping it all in the cart. he stood back and put his hands back in his pockets.

"that's it?" taehyung looked at the man and rose an eyebrow, the slight twitch of his plump lips evidence of a small smirk wanting to show. "coward." he was being playful when he said it, but taehyung reaches for two more bags of doritos and another pack of soda to add to their already picked out ones.

jungkook narrowed his eyes at him slightly, as if it was a challenge to be accepted and won. "coward?" the stylist repeated it, even a smile almost showing on his face. jungkook started to grab some more, a bag of pretzels and other chips that he didn't even care but looked good. taehyung giggled at how he started to relax a little, taking what he wanted and not seeming so uncomfortable to be there.

the rockstar giggled again, grabbing some energy drinks for them and continuing to watch his stylist look up with big eyes at the tasty packaging, even stopping to look over at him too, an equally nice smile on thin pink lips.
