Amberpaw stayed with Dandelionshade during the Gathering. When they reached the other medicine cats, she felt an surge of shyness and respect. Amberpaw had expected all of these cats to be older than her, but Dragonflyheart, who was RiverClan's medicine cat, had taken on an apprentice about a day after Amberpaw. Her name was Jasminepaw. The other young ones were Batheart, a moody ShadowClan tom, who had recieved his name last moon and Stripedwhisker, SkyClan's shy healer, who had been a sole medicine cat for only two moons. The only ones who hadn't yet arrived were WindClan, so she used the time to exaimine the cats of the other Clans. As her gaze fell apon the leaders, shock pulsed through her. The cat from her dream was there! The one that she'd been running alongside.
Amberpaw shoved Dandelionshade, "Who are the leaders?"she asked
"The leaders? Oh! The leaders! Well WindClan's leader is Grassstar, that's Lionstar of ShadowClan, there's Stonestar from SkyClan and that's... what's Monarchflight doing up there? Oh! Violetstar must've died! Monarchstar from RiverClan,"
Stonestar...Amberpaw pondered, Wow! Argh! Pull. Yourself. Together, Amberpaw. You're a medicine cat, you don't have a mate, especially not  a cat from another Clan!
More cats piled into Fourtrees and Lionstar stood up," Let the Gathering begin! Vio-Monarchstar, would you like to go first?"
The half-blind she-cat dipped her head and started,"I'm sorry to report the death of Violetstar, he died of his old age and we mourn him. But otherwise, RiverClan couldn't be better. The river is teeming with fish and we're getting our stocks up to prepare for leaf-bare, also Jadewing has moved into thd nursery,"
Grassstar nodded and stepped fowards,"We grieve for your loss, Monarchstar, especially as we too lost a warrior,"she hesitated,"Two days ago, Weedfur was found dead on our territory. Murdered. By a cat. Did anyone see anything?"
A shocked silence followed her words, until Stonestar meowed," On that same day, that happened to Smokehaze,"
"Wheatrye!"
"Brightpelt!"
"Sorrelfur!"
"O..okay, so the same thing happened to a cat in each Clan on the same day," Stonestar comfirmed,"Someone's forming against us, b...but...who? And why?"
