Wedding of Dreams
Due to sheer lack of ability for filler chapters...HERE'S THE FINALE! THE WEDDING!!! WOO! Ready? I know I am XD too bad this story is ending... ;-; I'll miss it. This is one of my faves to write and seeing it end is...it's just...sad y'know? Anyways, let's not make it feelsy! LETS GET ON WITH THE FINALE YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING SO PATIENTLY FOR!
You felt...tight in the dress. It seemed your friend didn't know skeletons have 'flesh' so to speak.
"Can't...breath (f/n)!" You gasped. She stopped and loosened the bonds of the dress.
"Oh my god I'm sorry! How can't you breath? You're...well...bones.." She said. You sighed and a (f/c) form circled you. You looked human again, but with (f/c) translucent skin.
"OH MY GOD YOU HAVE SKIN!" She screamed. You giggled, letting the skin glow fade.
"You didn't notice how my clothes just kinda...float?" You said, a smile on your face.
"Uh..no!" She said.
"I figured...anyways. How do I look?" You said. (F/n) smiled, pride in her eyes.
"You look like a princess, (y/n)! Sans will love it!" She said. You blushed a little.
"Thanks for being here for me, (f/n). I couldn't imagine getting married without you here," you said.
"Don't mention it! I'm always here for you! If you need anything, you can call me!" She said. You smiled.
"The dress looks good on you, by the way," you said. The brides maid dresses for your wedding were light blue and knee length.
"Aw thank you! What about Mettaton? Who's her brides maids?" She asked. Toriel walked in with Catty and Bratty.
"Hello girls! We wanted to show you Metta! And (f/n) that dress is-" Toriel greeted, being cut off by Bratty.
"Totes cute! Like O.M.G! Catty are you seeing this!?" She said.
"Yas girl! This brides maid is so totally wicked adorbs!" Catty said, carefully examining (f/n). She was a little weirded out, but she stayed calm.
"I'm talking about the bride! You look amazing! Selfie?" Bratty said. You giggled and agreed, letting her snap a few photos, Catty and (f/n) joining in. You smiled as you heard foot steps.
The door opened to reveal Mettaton, hair fixed neatly and wedding dress beautifully modeled on her form.
"Hello darling!" Mettaton said.
"Hello Mettaton! You look great," you said. Mettaton smiled.
"Thank you! You do too," you blushed a little.
"Thanks Metta," you said.
"Well...I suppose everyone is ready?" She asked. A couple more of your friends walked in, dresses on, hair fixed, and makeup on.
"Yea...how long until the ceremony?" One of them asked. She was your roommate in college and often accompanied you to the sorority parties when no one else did.
"Um...according to my schedule program we got about five minutes to kill..." Mettaton said.
"What to do with five minutes..." (F/n) said.
"Um...I don't know..." You said.
"Maybe...anyone wanna listen to a song? It may pass the time..." Another friend of yours said.
"Sure, why not," (f/n) said.
"Here we go," she said, getting the song pulled up.
It was the song "If I Die Young"...the song you wanted Sans to play at your funeral.
"Oh my god!" The last day of your human life flashed before your eyes as the song progressed, a few other memories slipping in here and there.
"Are you okay darling?" Mettaton asked.
"Y-yea...just...memories," you said, smiling a little.
You all chatted the rest of the time before Mettaton's alarm went off.
"Oh that's our cue! Are you ready (y/n)?"
"I..." You started. You took a deep breath once (f/n) placed a hand on your shoulder blade.
"Y-yes. Let's do this," you said.
You walked out, girls behind you, and met your father. Mettaton, of course, had Alphys with her to walk her down the aisle.
Frisk and Monster Kid, the flower "girls", took the baskets full of buttercups and echo flower petals and pranced down the aisles, Kid taking Mettaton's aisle and Frisk taking yours.
The curtains at the entrance way pulled away when the kids were a quarter of the way down and you saw everyone in the crowd turn, eyes on you and Mettaton.
You were nervous, to say the least. The veil slightly covering the nervousness in your eye sockets you looked over at your dad, who looked back, a smile on his face.
"You got this sweetheart. I'm with you every step of the way," he said. I smiled as he smiled back.
"Thanks dad," I said, quietly.
You started to walk as Sans stared at you. His face was glowing blue and he looked nervous.
Once you got up there and Sans moved the veil, he stared into your eyes.
"My beautiful girl," he said, taking your hands. You blushed (f/c) and smiled.
"Handsome skeleton," you said.
"Alright. Papyrus and Mettaton are first," Asgore said. Sans stood by your side, his hand in yours.
"Now. Friends, family, we are gathered here today to celebrate the unity of these two monsters in marriage. Mettaton, a tv star and idol, and Papyrus, a close friend of mine and the son of one of the best scientists this world has ever seen," he said, proceeding through the usual speech.
"Now, the vows," he said, stepping back. Papyrus glanced over to Napstablook, who gave him a patient smile.
"M-Mettaton...I..." he said. He cleared his throat. "I, the Great Papyrus, promise to take care of you, hold you, care for you, love you, and be with you forever! I shall never leave your side, I shall be loyal, and together we will be greater than any force on this planet. You'll be treated like a true star should, like royalty."
"Papyrus...I will always make time for you. I'll love you, hold you, care for you, and stay with you. I shall never leave your side and be loyal to you. Together we'll shine brighter than any star in the sky," Mettaton said.
Asgore smiled and returned.
"If anyone has any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace," he said. The room was silent.
"Very well. Papyrus?" Asgore said, turning to Papyrus, who was pumpkin orange.
"Y-Yes?" he said. Napstablook smiled and mouthed "breath Papy". Papyrus took a breath, and looked to Mettaton. He held her hands, his bare boney fingers gripping the metal.
"Do you take Mettaton to be your lawfully wedded wife? To love and to hold, in sickness and in health, young or old, for as long as you both shall live, until death do you part?" Asgore asked.
You could see Gaster and Sans in happy tears.
"I...I do," Papyrus said. Mettaton smiled wider and blushed brighter.
"And Mettaton? Do you take Papyrus to be your lawfully wedded husband? To love and to hold, in sickness and in health, young or old, for as long as you both shall live, until death do you part?"
"I do," Mettaton said.
"Now the ring?" Asgore said. Your father presented the rings to the couple and Papyrus gingerly put the ring on Mettaton's finger.
"I now pronounce you husband and bride. Papyrus. You may now ki-" Asgore said, but Papyrus was a little anxious. He grabbed Mettaton and planted a kiss to her lips, her being quite shocked at first, then melted into it. Asgore stared on, shocked.
"Bah, a little eagerness never killed anyone anyways! Now on to Sans and (y/n)," he said, laughing a bit. You giggled. Sans positioned himself in front of you.
"Now, we gather in the joining of Sans and (y/n). Two skeletons, one born that way, the other...well...we all know that story," Asgore said. You blushed a little. You listened to the speech again, and finally came the moment for the vows.
"(Y/n). I promise I will protect you, as I always have. Every timeline, every run, every meeting. I protected you. I will love you and hold you and care for you until the next reset. I'll make sure this one is the best one yet for both of us. I will never forget you and I'll always be loyal to you. And I promise you'll wake up to a fresh new joke in the morning the way you like it," he said, chuckling lightly.
You giggled a bit.
"Sans. Always know how to put a smile on my face. And I'll make sure there's not a day you don't see it. My life is now with you. I'll hold, care, love, and be with you forever. I'll forever remain loyal to you and stay with you until the end of time," you said.
"Lovely. Now, if anyone has any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace," he said.
Again, silence.
"Wonderful! Sans?"
"Yes, Asgore?" Sans said, turning to face Asgore.
"Do you take (y/n) to be your lawfully wedded wife. To love and to hold, in sickness and in health, young or old, for as long as you both shall live, until death do you part?"
"I do," he said, a blue tint spreading on his face.
"(Y/n)?" Asgore said, looking at you.
"This is it," you thought.
"Do you take Sans to be your lawfully wedded husband? To love and to hold, in sickness and in health, young or old, for as long as you both shall live, until death do you part?" Asgore said.
"I...I do," you said, gazing at Sans. He looked back, smiling wide. You had a bright (f/c) blush on your face.
"Rings Mr. Gaster," Asgore said. Gaster grabbed the rings from his lap and approached you.
"Congratulations you two," he whispered, handing Sans the rings.
He grabbed your hand and slipped the ring onto your finger.
"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," Asgore said.
Sans stared into your eyes and then closed the gap between you. The crown erupted into cheers.
And you kissed him back, holding him, loving him. He was everything to you and you were now his. And he was yours.
Everything was perfect.
FINALLY! MONTHS OF WAITING! I HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT!
Epilogue won't be til later on, but for now...Dying Light is officially finished!
