Food, Teleporting, Naps, and Dummies

You woke up on the couch, the TV off. You heard Gaster and Papyrus in the kitchen, most likely cooking.

"Morning, (y/n)," Gaster said, peeking through the doorway. You smiled.

"Morning, dad," you said. Sans's door opened to reveal the skeleton himself walking out. You had the urge to stretch, but you were a little scared to. Popping your joints probably isn't the best idea as a skeleton and you really had no muscles to stretch anyways.

"Morning, babe," he said from the top of the stares. You say up and yawned.

"Morning, Sans," you replied. You stood up and headed for the kitchen, but Sans stopped you.

"Hey, did you sleep okay after what happened?" He asked. You smiled and nodded.

"Gaster helped a lot. Letting it out really does a thing or two for nightmares like that," you said. Sans grinned wide.

"That's great! Anywho, I figured after breakfast I'd take you over to the judgement hall for training with your magic. Whaddya say?" He asked.

"That'd be great," you said, starting off towards the kitchen again. Papyrus was at the stove with eggs on a pan and Gaster was taking care of drinks and toast.

"Good morning, beauties!" Mettaton said, floating in as her ghost form. Papyrus smiled and grabbed a plate that was beside him. Translucent food was on it.

"Papy! Thank you!" She said, grabbing the plate of ghost food. Papyrus blushed a little.

"No problem, Mettaton," he said. You took a seat at the table with Sans.

"Mind explaining your dream to me?" He asked.

"I guess so," you said. You started to explain your dream and as you went on with the part where Sans was there, he looked more and more upset.

"You were...afraid of me because you thought I was mad at you for dying? I was in tears when I found you! And the fact that you're here now is...its just...a miracle! I could never be mad about this!" Sans said. You smiled.

"I know," you said, hugging him. He hugged you back.

"Here you go, you love birds," Gaster said, setting a plate on the table.

"One plate? Really, G?" You asked. He shrugged.

"We ran out of plates," he lied. You rolled your eyes and grabbed a fork. You started eating on the eggs on one half of the plate while Sans started on the other. You could easily tell they were his, because ketchup smothered them.

"Hey, remember when I said I wanted that song to play at my funeral, Sans? I never heard it," you said. Sans stiffened up a bit.

"Crap! I forgot all about that! Sorry, (y/n)!"

"It's okay. I can play it later on my own time. I just was wondering what happened to that," you said, grinning.

"Kinda weird to talk about your own funeral. Speaking of, did anyone get the tombstone up? There's no need for it if she's alive now," Sans asked.

"Taken care of. We got Asgore to convince the funeral service managers to get the tombstone out and sand it back down for someone else. There was a group that hadn't had the money for it, so we donated it and had it sent to be engraved for them. Though, it was a little nerve wracking trying to tell the managers that (y/n) had literally came back to life, but we had evidence to support the claim," Mettaton said.

You really did find it weird to talk about this. How often does a person come back to life after dying from a Temmie and have to have the tombstone picked up?

You all chatted for a while and, once everyone was finished or full and all the dishes were properly put in the dishwasher, you and Sans headed out to the judgement hall.

"Before we go any further, let's try one simple thing. Teleportation. I think you did it once, but that was probably from instinct. Now, you need to control that power," Sans said, stopping you at the entrance of Waterfall. You remembered your escape from your coffin.

"Okay. Where do I start?"

"Well, focus on a location. Try maybe to that echo flower," Sans said.

"Once you find your location, focus your magic and energy toward that thought. You should be able to get to your desired location," he continued.

You let his words sink in.

You focused on the echo flower, the exact spot next to it. You clenched your sockets closed as you focused. You felt warmth around your hand, and Sans's words rung in your non-existent ears.

"You're doing it baby! Come on!"

You were more concentrated on the task at hand.

You felt light headed and a slight bit drained, but when you opened your eyes, you saw that Sans was in front of you, smiling wider than ever. The echo flower was beside you. You smiled so wide, you thought your skull would crack.

"I...I did it! I did it!" You squealed, running up to Sans.

"You did! I'm so proud of you!"

You ran into him and he picked you up, planting a kiss to your teeth. It was more like bopping heads, but it was still a kiss nonetheless.

"I knew you could do it, (y/n)! I just knew it!" He said. You giggled in his arms as he carried you bridal style through Waterfall. You were a bit dizzy, but since you weren't walking, you decided to rest for a bit. You fell asleep being carried by Sans, who chuckled lightly after finding you had dozed off.

You woke up twenty minutes later, still in Sans's arms. You were almost in the hall.

"Thanks, Sans," you said, snuggling into his rib cage.

"For what? Teaching you to teleport or letting you sleep while I carried you?"

"Both. Is it always a bit tiring to teleport?" You asked.

"Nah. You get used to it," he said, putting you down once the doors of the hall were before the two of you.

"Ladies first," you joked.

"Why thank you, good sir," he continued. You both laughed and walked into the hall. It's a fairly secluded place, being so close to the king. He was aware of the training, apparently. Sans claimed he had called him to tell him of your lessons while you were asleep.

"So where do we start?"

"Wanna start with the simple normal attacks?" Sans asked. He levitated a training dummy over.

"Sure. Sounds easy enough," you said.

"Do what you did with teleportation, just focus on the attack, not the location. It's simple really. It is a natural thing for skeletons, more so for ones that specialize in attacks."

"Alright," you said, focusing on the attack. You imagined the bones penetrating through the dummy.

Then you heard fabric tearing.

You looked up to see the dummy in pieces and bones were still stuck in the poor dummy.

"That...is impressive, having never had magic before," Sans said. You smiled.

"Us humans are full of surprises!" You said. Sans giggled.

"You're not human anymore," he said.

"I know!" You said, laughing.

"Okay, okay, now, I'm not sure if you have this attack, but, having been near Gaster before your transformation, you may just have it. This is called a Gaster Blaster," Sans said, spawning a blaster before him. It was a fairly small one, only two feet long and one foot wide.

"It can fire beams of light that destroy the enemy, or in your case, what's left of it. Now, I know I sound like a broken record, but you gotta focus the energy and summon the blaster first. It's a little draining, but you can do it! I know it!" Sans said. You did the same thing you did with the bone attack, and the warmth engulfed your hand. You looked behind you to see a slightly smaller version of the blaster Sans had. You smiled and looked at him.

"Nice! Now point your hand towards the target," he said.

You aimed your lit up hand towards the remains of the dummy.

"Now, FIRE!" He said. You released the energy and the light beam obliterated the dummy.

"I...I did that...the poor dummy. There better not have been a ghost in it!" You said. Sans laughed.

"There wasn't one, trust me," he said. You grinned and hugged him again.

"This is fun! We should do this more," you said. He chuckled.

"You bet!" He said, making the dummy's remains disappear.

"I still have much to learn about magic, don't I?"

"Yup," he said.

"I'm okay with that. Gives me more time with you," you said.

"I can agree with that," he said, a dim blush on his face. He was smiling wide, which made you smile in return. Smiles really are contagious!
