Awoken
"What do you mean? Why are you so scared of me all of a sudden?"
"Y-you...you were so mad at me and I..that I didn't wake up!"
"What are you talking about! You're back from the dead! My dad is back! I couldn't be any happier!"
"B-but..." You started. Sans looked at you worriedly. Despite you being in a t-shirt and sweat pants, you weren't as cold as you would be normally. Though, it didn't stop you from shivering. You were a slight bit cold, somehow.
You felt warm fur reach your cheek bones as Sans wrapped his hoodie around you. You looked at his kind face, his smile reminding you just how much he loved you and how much he would put on the line for you. He helped you up out of the snow and started to walk you home in silence.
Mettaton and Papyrus were on the front porch looking for you and Sans.
"There you are darlings! We were worried sick about you two!" The pink ghost scolded. You ignored her and went inside.
"(Y/n)? What's wrong?" Papyrus asked as you went by him.
"She had a nightmare about me I assume. She ran off towards the river crying. She started telling me that she didn't know why she didn't wake up. I think we should give her space. Let her recover a bit before we ask her about it. I know how it feels to have nightmares myself and I need to cool down before I can talk about it...when or if I ever do," Sans said. Papyrus looked at him a little concerned for him and his soon to be sister-in-law.
"Alright then, Sans. If you say so," Papyrus said. Sans smiled and walked inside, Mettaton not too far behind.
Papyrus lingered behind, staring into the forest before walking inside as well.
You grabbed a sleeping bag and curled up onto the floor by Gaster, who had sat up after noticing the commotion.
"(Y/n)? Are you alright?" He asked you. You looked up at him, (f/c) tear stains on your skull.
"I don't know. I had a nightmare," you said, laying back down. You felt a hand on your head.
"You wanna let it out? It helps," he said. You looked up at him and sighed. You explained your dream to him and he nodded.
"I see. Well, remember that Sans loves you and would sooner put his own life on the line before he'd let anyone or anything harm you. If he hurt you, he'd never forgive himself. I know he loves you more than anything else on this earth and if he knew that you even so much as had a scratch on you because of him...he'd be devastated," he said. You looked down and sighed.
"I know. He's told me a billion times over these past five years. And I'd do the same for him," you said. You look at a clock on the wall. It read 6 AM.
"No point in going back to sleep I suppose. Wanna watch tv, G?" You asked. He smiled.
"I'd love to," he said, flipping the screen on. You two watched the news for a while before you dozed off again.
