Pushing to her feet she refused to give up, something she’d always done. Another streak passed down her leg, locking it from moving. Growling out Trinity used her other leg to drag it along. She’d seen a large cliff so far off from the castle that she couldn’t help but need to go there, her fear of heights was push aside. Another few feet and she stopped leaning against a dead tree, its branches made a good resting spot. Looking over the underworld, her body tightened.

Hades growled out pushing himself to stand, this was ridicules. It was clear those two were deep for each other, but their damn heads were getting in the way. Persephone watched him slam his door, storming down the hall. His hand flicked out tossing a flying chair to splinters, at this rate the whole fucking place was going to be torn to shreds. Entering the dark hallway he kicked the fallen office door out of his way, Thanatos was on his knees screaming with the black aura scattering around him.

    “BLOODY HELL” Growling. He’d never in his life seen a man this torn up, except maybe himself when Persephone was taken from him. Grabbing his friend by the collar he lifted him off the ground, try as he might to free himself Hades held on.
    “THAT IS ENOUGH” Roaring in his face. The room stilled at his order, Than was shaking heavily.
    “You caused this Than, so fix it. She’ll die becoming one of those dark fades if you don’t help her. And so help me gods I will ransack you if that happens.” Dropping the man to his feet.
    “She hates me” He whimpered.
    “No” Shaking his head.

    “She’s just hurt, you took her only freedom away, She doesn’t understand what’s happening to her, she fucking scared. And now thanks to you, she at the edge of the property ready to jump” Flinging his hand out the door way. Thanatos’s shook tossing the thin black strand of his hair around, she couldn’t it would end her. Jumping off that cliff ended in a pity of despair, it was what Hades and him used to send the worst of the worst.

    “She can’t” Taking a step.
    “Then I suggest you stop her, because she’s already there” Thinning his eyes. He didn’t need to be told twice, wings ripped through flesh vanishing he appeared outside. Cringing at the work the twisters did, Persephone was going to kill him. After using so much of his power he’d only been able to shift a few yards before he’d have to wait. Her outline came into view, standing on the edge of the cliff. Pushing hard his wings dipped in and out, gradually gaining speed.

Her feet were cold, wet and caked in mud. Something about that felt normal, it did nothing to comfort her broken heart. Fear of heights was a huge thing for her, maybe being pushed downstairs didn’t help any. Gulping maybe if she didn’t look it wouldn’t be so bad, even though she tried to close her eyes they refused. If only to make her rethink her plan, it was all her body had left from stopping her. Rain picked up causing her to shiver even in its warmth, the pain had dissipated.

Screaming a little she stuck her foot over the edge, the prickling of fear rushed up her leg. But the heavy flapping and dark eyes peering back at her, sent her body falling backwards. His nose flared sucking in her sweet scent, those pitch black eyes fastened to hers. Stepping on the ground Trinity crawled backwards, no wonder the pain had vanished. He’d come for his prize, she grabbed a stick flinging it at him. Thanatos took the hit to the chest, taking another step to her. When she stood to run, his wing flipped around caging her in.

Gasping her hands held to her chest, was it even possible for him to do that. Turning around at the man, Trinity glared so much hate at him. He seemed unfazed by it, careful to take a step keeping the wings blocking her way out.
    “Touch me” He growled. She shook her head.
    “No, I will never touch you. NOT EVER” Stomping her foot, splattering mud higher up her legs.
    “Do as your told” Growling again.
    “FUCK YOU” She hissed, his lip twitched shooting out his hand grabbing her arm.
    “YOUR MINE” Bellowing.
    “NO! I WONT EVER BE YOURS!” Shaking nonstop, she tried to pull away from him.
    “STOP FIGHTING ME”
    “NEVER”

    “FINE, WELL DO THIS MY WAY” Wrapping his arms around her torso, Thanatos picked her up flapping hard. Trinity screamed as her feet left the ground, he was going to kill her. Instinct too over making her arms snake tightly around his neck, her head pushed into his neck screaming in fear. Her eyes were stupid looking at how height they were, screaming out more she quickly buried her face back into him.
    “I’m sorry, please….please don’t drop me” Thanatos turned his head a little, seeing her tucked tightly into his neck.
    “PLEASE…..I’m sorry I don’t hate you, don’t let me go, please….please don’t let me go” Her breath caught.

    “Never” Whispering, his hold tightened. Pulling her head out slowly, she met him eye to eye.
    “I will never let you go, not even if you beg me. I am to far gone in love with you, you Trinity are my only weakness”  She began to shake her head.
    “Do not deny me, not this. I see you, I see who you are and it is perfection at its best. No one will ever hurt you, so long as I live.”  Tears poured down her cheeks, desperately he wanted to swipe them away. But he feared it would frighten her, instead he captured her lips taking her breath away. Swallowing any fear she had, Thanatos pulled her legs around him. Cupping her behind in one hand, leaving the other on her back.

Pushing air around them, Trinity kissed him back hard. Wanting everything he said to be true, she needed it so very much. Nothing else mattered, she was so madly in love with the God of Death she was willing to die a thousand times for him. The indescribable taste of him, the way his hands held her like a glass doll. His smell was so strong it killed her nose to anything else, shivering into him she felt him push heat around them.

Breaking the kiss he looked at the grey green eyes, they held hope now. Something he’d never seen in them, tucking a piece of hair out of her face he kissed her cheek.
    “Are you alright?”
    “No….yes….I dunno. Just don’t drop me.”  She squeaked taking a peak over the edge.
    “Love I would never drop you, and I will never lie to you. This I promise, I will answer all and ever question you ask of me.” She nodded, gulping down the fear.
    “You….you sure I’m not heavy” Thanatos chuckled, shaking his head.
    “Baby I’m a god, you don’t weight a thing. I could do this all day.” His wings flapped around the, pushing that tucked piece of hair back out. Trinity leaned a little getting a better look, but squeaked when he shifted his weight. Laughing a little as she launched herself around his neck again, he could get use to this.
    “Its not funny. I’m petrified of heights”
    “Then why were going to jump” Raising a brow. She shrugged.
    “Seemed fitting.” Thanatos snorted.   
    “No, its not. And if I ever catch you doing anything to harm yourself again, you’ll have me to deal with” He paused pulling her a little so he could look at her face.
    “Do I make myself clear?”
    “Yes” Nodding.
    “Good girl, now where was I” Cupping her head Than found her lips again, creating the most delicious sound from her.


Epilogue:


With all the questions Trinity had it was no wonder, Hades had brought along Persephone. Now all four of them were seated in the redone office, since Thanatos ripped it from the ground. Much to Thanatos’s pleasure Trinity had perched herself on his lap, wiggling as close as she possible could. They explained to her that she had a very powerful aura, that because of this she was saving lives above.

In time she would grow as strong as Thanatos, which would cause he to be a real goddess. Under normal rules she’d have to be given his blood and every so many months drink ambrosia, but because of his claim on her she would no longer need it. Feely she could now go topside however long she wanted, as before clothing could be envisioned without so much as an issue. Trinity was also given the same abilities as Thanatos when it came to making random things appear, as far as the dark orbs of natural disasters went he solely controlled those. Something Persephone was thankful for.

She had been living with Thanatos for over six months now, while he helped her along. For the most part their relationship was moving along nicely, however their tempers where somewhat put to the test. It took nearly two hours when Trinity became upset about something for Than to get her calmed, she’d killed their bed, both nightstands, the large glass mirror and all the windows.

Sighing heavily as he rocked her in his arms, Trinity buried her head in his chest. She still wasn’t use to all the power she was given, even the slightest thing set her off. It was hard enough redecorating the damn castle every time one of them went off the deep end.

    “If you wanted to redecorate love, I would have been fine with it” He thought a small joke would help her, it seemed to of worked when she started chuckling.
    “Damn this is hard, I was just annoyed cause of a flashback. That when I came back, I’d almost killed the hole room” Leaning her back against his chest, his hands folded in her lap.
    “I no.” Kissing her head, resting his chin on it.
    “Your just going to have to get use to it, trust me in time it will be easier.”
    “Than?” Turning her head slightly, his eyes turned downward to her.
    “Yes love?”
    “Can we go away?” His brow rose.
    “Where did you want to go?”
    “The cabin?”

    “Are you going to redecorate?” He smirked, but was still worried.
    “No…well not on purpose. I was hoping maybe sometime outdoors, with fresh air would help me” Than nodded it was worth a shot, they’d been staying in the castle unless they had to go topside. Now seemed like a good time to get away, all his paperwork was caught up, and since Trinity wasn’t a normal case she didn’t get paperwork.
    “Alright, Let me tell Hades, and we can leave” Without warning she bounced out of his lap, looking a little smug.
    “Already done” Holding a finger up, while rocking on her heels. Folding his arms, he gave her a pointing look.

    “What?” She asked.
    “Just how long have you been planning to ask me?”   
    “A few…days” Clearing her throat. Than got to his feet, engulfing her in his arms.
    “Why so long?” Trinity giggling when his lips lightly brushed across her jaw line.
    “Cause I was nervous” Thanatos froze, he’d thought she wasn’t scared of him anymore.
    “Trinity, love?”

She took a couple of steps away from him, chewing on her cheek. A habit he’d come to learn was her scared move, it was also extremely adorable and he growled when she did it. Rounding her Than grabbed her waist, causing her to scream out.

    “No stop you’ll hurt him” Thanatos froze once more, what did she just say.
    “Him?” His voice grew dark, eyes shifted uncomfortable.
    “Well I….I was going to tell you at the cabin.” She huffed, dragging her hand through her long dark hair.

    “Tell me what?” Snapping, he’d become extremely protective over her, so much so he’d already broken Eros arm and threatened to kill Orpheus.
    “I’m…” Her eyes looked away, before shutting them tightly.
    “Pregnant” She realized when his hands let go, that something was wrong. Opening her eyes she watched as the color in his face changed about six times, frowning she waited for his fish like mouth to say something. It didn’t happen, the poor bugger fell over backwards causing her to panic.
    “Shit, Than your not suppose to pass out.” Trinity fanned his face, watching his eyes.
    “Damn it, you’re a fucking god get a hold of yourself man. Gees your such a drama queen” Rolling her eyes.


The suddenly he turned to her, grabbing her forearms.   
    “Your pregnant? Were…I’m?” Eyes twisted around her face, searching for her lie.
    “Yes Than, you’re the father.” Slapping his head. As quickly as he fell, Than was back on his feet spinning her around.
    “Than I’m going to barf if you don’t stop.” He lowered her, making sure she didn’t fall.
    “When? How?” He kept pestering her with questions, while her head was spinning like a frog in a blender.

    “Just give me a sec. Shit, my head” Groaning Trinity leaned against him. Peppering her with kisses, he still couldn’t believe he was a father, him the god of Death was having a….wait didn’t she say him….
    “Are you having a boy?”
    “No were having a boy” She corrected. He went to spin her around again, he she shot him a nasty glare.
    “I swear come high water Than, you spin me around and I’ll make you carry the little bugger.”
    “Yes dear” Picking her up so her body straddled his, capturing her lips Trinity hummed in delight.

Life had started to look up for her, things were going better then well. Thanatos was at her side no matter what, he almost never raised his voice and most of the time it wasn’t even because of her. He’d learned she was meek when it came to yelling, and soon enough stopped altogether. When he promised her things he kept his word, Than had been come her knight a man who for once didn’t make it his set goal to make her cry. Now they were having a baby, their baby.

Kissing his cheek Than smoked them out of their bedroom, landing on the couch in the cabin. Trinity gasped looking out the windows, everything was snow white. Fluffy snow covered every inch of the outside landscape, the water was frozen solid making for a very nice ice skating rink.
    “I’m going to lite a fire, keep you warm. Order whatever you want love”
    “Even if its sushi?” He spun around, gulping as she’d managed to change hero outfit into a very sexy black and red lace two piece.
    “Trinity?” Warning her not to play.
    “Yes lover?” Hand behind her back, as if she was innocent. Something he found out to be not true, she was good at playing it but not keeping to it.
    “Careful love, your messing with my emotions again.” Wagging his finger, she giggled licker her lips.

    “So you don’t want me then?” Cocking her head to the side, effectively making a sheen of dark chocolate hair fall. Growling at her, Than swiped his hand lighting the fire in the pit.
    “I always want you” She screamed, dashing around the couch him running after her. Had she looked scared he would of stopped, but her laugher filled the cabin faster then quicksand. If you were to tell him, he’d find his soul mate Thanatos would of scoffed at you. But being with Trinity had proved to him that people do eventually get what they need, maybe not what they want….but he was a lucky one…Than got both.
