Y/n POV

i'm running through the halls trying to figure out which class i need to be in. i got accepted into Eden hall 1 week later then everybody else.

Coach Orion is my uncle, so i got accepted on scholarship, but i had to play with the JV hockey team.  I was looking at my schedule when i bumped into someone, and my books fell on the ground as well as me.

"omg i'm so so sorry i wasn't looking where i was going" i said starting to gather my stuff, "i just don't know my way around and can't find my class" the guy  knelt down and started picking up some papers the fell out.

"no no it's fine, I wasn't really looking either." he said. i looked up and i locked my eyes with his. he picked up my schedule and looked at it. "oh your in some of the same classes as me." he looked further down at the page. "hey, your joining the Junior Varsity hockey team?" he looked at me,

"yeah that's how i got my scholarship." i said grabbing my stuff and standing up. "i'm y/n, y/n Orion" i say holding out my hand.

"i'm Dwayne, Dwayne Robertson" he says grabbing it and shaking it. "here follow me, we have the same first class together" he said, grabbing my hand again and pulling me to the stairwell and up to the second floor.

"your a life saver Dwayne"

Dwayne showed me to all of my classes and i was in every single class of his except one, and i met this girl named Julie. Me and her hit it off, and she said she also played for Junior Varsity. So after school, we walked to our lockers and went to the dorms. She wasnt far from mine (they all have dorms in this one) so we hung out for abit before practice. When 4:15 hit we left to go to the rink because practice was at 4:30.

Dwayne POV

I got to the rink a bit early in hopes to see y/n again. I knew I'd see her at practice but i wanted to see her before. She has been on my mind all day. at 4:23 i started getting ready, when the door opened. and in walked Charlie and Fulton, then y/n and julie. I wondered if y/n was a good player and who she played for before she came here. Her last name was Orion, same as coach, so i wondered if she was his family. i finished getting ready and went on the ice. a few minutes later, everybody started skating on the ice. Coach Orion came out and looked at all of us, he smiled when he looked at y/n.

"Come here, y/n" he said, gesturing for her to stand beside him. she skates over beside him and stops and stands.
"This is your new teammate, y/n Orion. My niece. She's an excellent player, and will be good for the team. Now let's warm up." he said as he skated away.

Y/n POV

i really didn't want people to know that i was coaches niece. but he introduced me that way anyway. Connie and Julie were quick to be my friends.

After practice i was sitting in the bench untying my skates when i heard the door close. I looked up to see Dwayne looking at me and looking away quickly. i put my last skate in my bag and zipped it up. i put in my shoes and started walking towards the door.

"y/n, wait a sec." Dwayne said, catching up to me, he opened the door and gestured me to go out. He is such a gentleman. "hey i was wondering, would you maybe wanna hang out sometime?" he looked nervous as he said that.

"Sure Dwayne, i'd love to" i say, grabbing his hand and squeezing it, both of our cheeks went red, and i could tell we would be together for a long while.
