It took a couple of days for Emma to get out of the hospital, and she had to wear a sling for her arm.

A Week Later

Emma was out of the sling for her arm and her and Jon were talking while Lucifer was talking to the Lieutenant, and He said he'd like to work on more cases as a Civilian Consultant. The Lieutenant agreed and officially instated him as a Civilian Consultant and he was partnered with Emma. Lucifer would have his twin look after his son, he until his work would be finished, from 9 A.M to 8 P.M.

Lucifer and Emma started to spend more time together but they did have their moments alone. Lucifer and Emma were asleep in the bed in Emma's house. Ava walked in and woke up Lucifer. Lucifer saw Ava and he looked at the clock and said "What's up Ava? it's 3 am." Ava said, "Zain is crying and I don't know what to do." Lucifer nodded and said, "If you want I can teach you a way to stop him from crying?"

Ava nodded and Lucifer got up without waking Emma. He walked to where Sam was and he could hear him crying, He picked him up and starts to say "Shh, Sam it's ok. It's Daddy." Sam started to stop crying and Ava says "How'd you do that?" Lucifer sat his son down and grabs a baby bottle and gave his son some milk. He looks at Ava and says "Ava he's crying because he's hungry. Give him a bottle if you're awake before we are, ok?"

Ava nodded and Lucifer said "And if you're scared you might do something you don't mean you can wake me up. Do you know how to make a baby bottle?" Ava nodded and said, "Yeah, I do." Lucifer said, "How long have you been up, Honey?" Ava looked at him and he could tell she is tired and she said "Not for long, I heard crying after 2 hours of sleeping." Lucifer says "I'm sorry, you should be asleep right about now."

Ava hugs Lucifer and he picks her up and sits down with her in his lap. Ava put her head on his chest and said "Dad?" Lucifer looked at her and said, "Yeah, what is it?" Ava looks at him and says "Are you really the devil?" Lucifer says "I am." Ava says "Can I see something to prove that?" Lucifer says "Ava, I don't want to scare you." Ava grabbed his hand and squeezed proving that she wouldn't be afraid.

He looked her in the eyes and turned his eyes Red. She hugged him and he hugged her back. They looked over and saw Sam asleep. Lucifer smiled at his son asleep, Lucifer picked up Ava and took her to her room. He sat her on the bed and laid her down and tucked her in. She looked at him and said, "Could you tell me a story to help me sleep?" Lucifer looked at her and said, "You're not scared of me?"

Ava looked at him and said, "No because I know you're nice." Lucifer smiled and wondered if Emma would act like that if he showed her his Devil Eyes. Ava hugged Lucifer and she said, "Mommy, doesn't know does she?" Lucifer nodded and said, "I'm afraid, Ava." Ava says "About what?" Lucifer says "Afraid she won't accept me as me. As The Devil." Meanwhile in the room with Emma. She rolled over and found the bed empty. She got out of bed and went down and saw him in the room with Ava.

She could hear him say "I'm always going to be afraid of showing her my Devil Eyes or Devil Face to your mom. I'm afraid she won't accept me as you did." Emma thinking why does he think he's the Devil then she remembered him getting shot 7 times before she passed out from bleeding out. She walks in and says "Lucifer, I know you're the devil." Lucifer looks at her and says "I know you think I'm lying about being the Devil, Emma."

Emma says "I saw you get shot 7 times. That must be the reason why you can survive." Lucifer says "Can I show you my red eyes?" Emma grabs his hand and Ava gets up and says "Mommy, try to accept him." Emma says "I'll try sweetheart." She looks at Lucifer and his eyes change from Chocolate brown eyes to Red. She didn't believe it, That he was the devil, but his eyes were red.

His eyes change from Red to Chocolate brown, Lucifer looks down in shame at what he was, wanting to be better for her. She said, "Did Sam's mom know the truth?" Lucifer looked at her then looked at the ground and said "Yeah, she did." Emma lifts his face with two-finger and says "You can look at me." Lucifer looks at her scared she could tell he was scared of not being accepted by her.

She kisses him right there and He kisses her back. Ava smiles at them and gets into bed and Lucifer remembered what Ava asked and he stopped and said "Sorry, I promised Ava that I'd tell her a story so she could go to bed." Emma smiled and said, "Go ahead." Lucifer sat down on the bed and said "What do you want to hear, Ava?" Ava asked, "I want to hear when you got cast out of heaven."

Lucifer smiled and said, "What do you want to hear about it?" Ava said, "What did you feel when you first landed in hell?" Lucifer said, "I felt so lonely." Emma walks up and wraps her arms around his neck and he continues to say "I looked in the reflection and I saw my punishment. My Devil Face. Now obviously I don't have a tail or horns, but my other face is terrifying for humans to react to."

Emma kisses his neck and Ava said, "Can we see your devil face?" Lucifer looked at her and looked for any sign of she was scared, but she had the look of curiosity. Lucifer looked at him and she nodded. Lucifer got up and sat Emma down on the bed and his face changed from looking human to his devil face. Emma looked and she cried. She wasn't crying because she was scared, but because he looked so horrible, but she couldn't be scared because she fell in love with his personality, not his looks. She loved the way he was and accepted him for who he is.

His face changed from Devil's face to his human face. He looked at Ava and she looked scared at his devil face, He walk over and she ran into his arms. She said, "Your face is scary." Lucifer holds her close and says "I shouldn't have shown you. You have nightmares and I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry, Ava." Ava hugged him so tightly she began to cry on his shoulders. Emma looks at her and says "Honey, you ok? Why are you crying?" Still hugging Lucifer and she says "I'm crying because He doesn't deserve to have a devil face."

Lucifer sat her on her mom and said "I know." He remembered his wings but he cut them off. He said "I used to have angel wings, If I still had them maybe you would be happy at seeing something beautiful." then he remembered what his dad said about angels. That they self-actualize. If he could pull it off he could maybe pop his wings out. He stepped back and started to think. Emma was wondering what he was doing.

Lucifer could hear a voice say "I'll give you your wings back." He opened his eyes and flexed his shoulders and his White Angelic Wings popped out and Ava looked at them and Smiled. Emma said, "They're beautiful." Lucifer looked at saw his wings. He looked up and said "Thanks, dad." Ava said, "Why'd you thank your dad?" Lucifer says "He gave me, my wings back." then he remembered something about self-actualizing. That it's based on what he feels and it is a part of his mind and subconscious.

Maybe he could get rid of his Devil face he thought. Lucifer closed his eyes and started to think about how he doesn't feel like a monster anymore. He opened his eyes and tried to switch to his devil eyes. But they wouldn't turn a different color. He said, "Guys, I think I just made my devil face and devil eyes go away." Emma smiles and says "Are you sure?" Lucifer says "I was grunting trying to turn my eyes red. I think they're gone."

Emma says "Then your just an angel and not the devil anymore." Ava said, "Does that mean you can go to heaven if your devil face is gone?" Lucifer says "No, Ava I can't. If I go to heaven, I'll die immediately." Ava says "But you don't deserve to be in hell. Your nice, not evil." as she hugs Lucifer. He smiles and says "I'm glad you don't think I'm evil, sweetheart." Emma gets up and hugs them both and says "We don't think your evil." Lucifer cups Emma's cheek and kisses her.

Then a flash of light appeared in the room. It was Lucifer's Dad, God. He looked at them and Lucifer put his arm around them to cover them and he was protecting them if his dad was trying to take away the one thing that made him happy. God smiled and said, "Hello, Samael." Lucifer looks at his dad and says "Hello, Dad." Emma looked at the man Lucifer called dad and she was pissed.

Not because He threw his son in hell, but because he hurt him and left scars on his body. God says "I thought I should bring myself in this conversation to answer all your questions you all may have, even Little Ava." Ava ran past Lucifer and said, "Why is Lucifer banished from heaven?" Lucifer getting tense because he was afraid that he would hurt Ava. God smiled and said "Ava, you might want to get behind Lucifer. I can tell he doesn't like the fact that you're in front of me."

She looked at Lucifer and he motioned to get behind him. Ava went behind Lucifer and God said "I banished Samael because he defied me." Ava said, "But he's nice, he's not evil." Lucifer bent down to her level and said "I don't care, what my family thinks of me, Ava. Only you and your mom, not anyone else. And I know you're asking this because you want me in heaven to be there for you and your mom if you die."

Emma says "Lucifer, we don't want to live without you. What your father did to you is wrong." Lucifer said "I don't care what my parents think of me. Only you two and Sam is all I care about." God looked at his son and said "Let her speak Samael. I can tell she has questions she wants to be answered." Lucifer looked at his father and with fire in his eyes but no red eyes, because he finally got rid of them and he said "You hurt them, I'll hurt you. Understand?" God nodded

Emma said, "How is it that Lucifer is nice to everyone he meets but we all humans think that the devil is evil." God said "I didn't tell humanity to blame my son for all their sins. I know he doesn't sit on their shoulders telling them what to do." God could see Ava wanting an answer to a question God bent down and said "What is it that you want an answer to little one." Ava said, "Why did Lucifer have a devil face?"

God said "Because Samael thought of himself as a monster. So he became one when he fell. He thought of himself as a monster, because he fought me. I can tell he didn't want to fight me, but to get me away from his siblings. He always was the big brother." Emma said, "Why does he have scars on his body?" Lucifer looked at her and grabbed her hand. God said, "Because I hit him." Emma wanting to punch literal God in the face for hurting Lucifer, but Luci was calming her down.

God continued to say "And I should have told you this a long time ago, Samael." Lucifer hated that he still called him his angel name, even if he no longer had his devil face anymore. Lucifer said, "And what's that Dad?" God signed and said "Well, I...Restarted the world a number amount of times." Lucifer started to think of what his father would say then his father said "And You changed in every since one. The only way to keep you like what you used to be as Samael. I had to punish you and your siblings."

Lucifer trying to understand what he meant and he said "Ok, let me get this straight. You restarted the world several times and in each time you restarted I changed, and when you changed the way the last world started and the only way to keep as the good Samael was to hurt me and my siblings?" God nodded and said "At one point in those other worlds of earth. You killed your brother."

Lucifer thought to himself that he would never hurt any of his brothers then God said "You killed Michael when he found out that you had fallen in love with a woman." Lucifer starts to remember the conversation that he had with his dad on the hospital roof and Lucifer said "And that's what you meant by No matter what I did you two would always be together. When you told me about Emma is the one I'm destined to be with."

God Nodded and Emma looks at Lucifer and says "I'm destined to be with you?" God looked at Emma and said "Yes, you are. No matter what I did to keep you two apart you two would find a way to be together." Emma stood in silence thinking, Lucifer worried that she wasn't ready to hear that, but she needed to know God knew what she was thinking about it and he said "It's not a Manipulation, Emma. I didn't create you to fall in love with him. You both did that on your own."

Lucifer started thinking to himself about what she could be thinking. Emma says "So I wasn't created to be with Lucifer? To Fall in love with him?" God shook his head no, Ava confused but trying to understand what's going on. Lucifer remembered what his dad said about killing his brother, and he says "Ok, But why would I kill Michael. My twin." God said, "Because he wanted to kill Emma in the other version of earth." 

Lucifer had hellfire in his eyes at hearing that, but Michael wouldn't do that now. He probably won't even remember what he did in the other version of earth. God continued to say "You kill-killed him with Azrael's Blade." Lucifer shot his head up and said "Dad, that weapon can wipe out souls from existence. Which means I wiped Michael out of existence when I killed him." 

God said "Yes, I could've brought Michael back, but I didn't. After you did that, Michael started to talk to you before he died saying "Sorry, brother. I was only doing what I was told to do." and That broke you when he died." Lucifer wondering why he would kill his brother even if he was trying to hurt Emma. Lucifer says "Why did it break me?" 

God said, "Because you killed your brother, and you started to say "Dad, what did I do? What have I done?" You loved your Brother, Son." Lucifer has a single tear down his face, God cups his son's cheek and says "Son, I know it hurts you to think you killed Michael, But Remember you had a good reason to do it." Lucifer doesn't know what to think.

Lucifer puts his hands together and summons his brother. Michael appears and says "Hey, Samael. What do you need?" God knows what his son is thinking and he says "Lucifer wants you to know the truth." Michael says "Father, what are you doing here?" God says "How about we do a Family Dinner and I'll tell you all everything you want to know?" Lucifer hates the idea of a family dinner with the man that hurt him, but he will do it.

Lucifer looks at his father and says "Yes, Father. We will have a family dinner." Emma smiles at him. Michael says "Brother, are you sure? I mean you always didn't want to do anything with, Father." Lucifer says "I know, Brother, But we need to know the truth about everything Dad is hiding from us." Michael nods in agreement and Lucifer says "Okay, Father we'll do a family dinner after school so Ava can be here."

Ava grabs Lucifer's hand and he bends down and she says "Dad, can you read me a story now?" Lucifer says "Yes, Darling." He picks her up and sets her in bed and tells her of the time he came down to earth to meet the Archer Heros and before one of them became an archer. He says "I came up to earth and I was on my way to meet the woman I fell in love with that was pregnant with Sam."

He continues "And I ran into two people that looked like Me and Michael. And He had a twin, and he was the Midnight Marksman." Ava says "You know the Midnight Marksman?" Lucifer says "Yes, I do. I helped him with something and he thanked me for it and we stayed in contact since" Ava smiled and said, "Thanks for telling me a story, Dad." Lucifer smiled and kisses her forehead and said "Goodnight, Sweetheart."

He tucked her in and turned off the light and went to his bedroom where Emma was still up. He looks at her and remembers Sam. He brings Sam into the room and he sits on the bed with Sam and Emma sits next to him and kisses his cheek. He looks at her and says "Sorry, I woke you." Emma said, "It's ok. How is he?" Lucifer says "Tired, but hungry." 

Emma says "Alright, Let's get him some food and get some sleep." Lucifer nodded and feed his son and put him back in his room. Lucifer came back and got on his side of the bed and laid down and Emma cuddled on him and he wrapped his arm around her and held her while they fell asleep.
