Diara Pov

Professor Harvey gave me a pair of black sweatpants and a green wool sweater to wear so I could change.
I gratefully took the things from him and walked into the small bathroom that adjoined my sickroom.

I closed the door and undressed in front of the mirror.
My eyes stayed on my face. I carefully traced the long scratch on my left cheek.

A little film of that evening immediately played in my inner eye.
I saw myself pulling myself out of the car with all my might to get to safety. But instead of feeling the solid ground under my feet, I fell a few meters down. i thought i was going to die So my last thought was only for Farah.
I wanted to see her one last time before I left.
But instead of the hard impact, I was caught by something. Whatever it was, it pierced my body like
small knife wounds.

A little dazed, I pressed my hand to my forehead.
How did I get here?
alfea was the last thing I wanted to see.
Maybe the desire to say goodbye to Farah was so great that the universe brought me here?

I took a deep breath and checked for more scars. There was nothing to see except for two purple spots on my neck.
I frowned and took a closer look at the two spots.
As the realization slowly hit me, the corners of my mouth twitched up,
Those were definitely hickeys.
I had to think back to our night for a moment.
As soon as I looked forward to her kisses, an excitement ran through me in the lower part of my body.
I gasped softly.
I quickly put both hands over my mouth, remembering that Harvey was still waiting for me in the hospital room.

so I quickly changed my clothes, styled my hair, and braided it into a long ponytail.
I then freshened things up and took a last look in the mirror before I left the bathroom for good.

Harvey seemed to be deep in his newspaper, because when I was already standing next to him, he murmured the written lines aloud.

Curious, I glanced at the title.
FOUR UNKNOWN DEATHS IN ONE NIGHT

I swallowed.
Farah had told me about the deaths.
this burnt man had to be caught!

"Oh you're already done!", the professor brought me back to the now and put the newspaper aside.

,, Yes. "

He got up from the visitor's chair and went to the door to open it.

"Shall we?" he asked, giving me an encouraging smile.

I smiled back.

"I'd love to." I answered politely and was the first to walk through.

Then we marched through the school.
A few students greeted us politely as we passed.
when we were standing in front of Farah's office, her secretary said that we should wait.

But the bald-headed professor was undeterred and knocked on the principal's door.

Nothing could be heard.

He cautiously opened the door and gestured for me to follow him.
I caught up with him and waited for him to go in.
But he froze when he looked inside.

I rolled my eyes and went in myself.

Pain shot through me when I saw Farah kissing a younger woman in the office.

,, Farah? Is that why you wanted to talk to me so badly, to show me how fast you can wrap someone around your little finger?
" I snapped at her, startled.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

The addressed immediately opened her eyelids and as if only now realizing that she had kissed someone else, she pushed the woman aside.
she straightened her seal and walked past me with a big grin to leave the room.
I had to pull myself together really hard not to hit her.

However, my eyes wandered back to Farah. My throat started constricting.

"Diara!" my crush whispered choked and came closer to me.

I put one foot back and felt my hands for the door.

"Don't come a step closer!"

"Please listen to me." She begged me in a choked voice.

,,no, it's too late for that."

"I...I want to explain it to you."

I shook my head in tears and stumbled out of her office.
I didn't want to hear any of this.

"Diara please, don't leave me alone again!", she called desperately after me and ran after me.
It took me a few minutes to get to the forest.
I seemed to have them hanging.
Because there wasn't a soul to be seen around me.

The image I saw in Farah's office broke my heart.
How could I think that she felt the same as me?
It seemed like I was really just a distraction for her.

but when I wanted to lean against the big tree in front of the protective barriers, this young woman from before came towards me.
She grinned cheekily at me.
Anger boiled inside me as her grin widened.

,, Farah is an incredibly good kisser. But you already know that. isn't it Diara Emilia Brooke? ", she whispered sweetly in my direction as she walked on and was about to leave the barrier.

I stopped.
"How do you know my name?" I hissed menacingly.

so far I hadn't been introduced to anyone apart from Tara and Mister Harvey.

She turned around again.

"If you accompany me, I'll tell you everything I know!"

I ignored my queasy feeling and followed her deep into the forest.

we arrived in the darkest area when a rustling reached our ears.

After that there was radio silence.

At some point a black silhouette appeared not far from us and rushed towards me.

I quickly looked for the woman. She was gone.

my heart pounding wildly in my chest as I realized why she was luring me into the forest.
What did I have to lose now?
Farah's heart didn't seem to beat for me anyway.
So I didn't care if I was going to die now.
I couldn't go on with a broken heart anyway.

I closed my eyes and waited.
