Aathiyan watched Nilakaran praying and he waited until he finished. He's here to discuss when and how he's going to perform the ritual to bring his father back to normal. He still has no faith in this ritual but this is the last option he got and he wants this to happen perfectly.

"Thanks for waiting," Nilakaran said.

"That's okay. I am here to ask when are you going to perform the ritual?" Aathiyan asks.

"Very soon," Nilakaran smiles, after bathing and trimming down his hair he looked different and young.

"Have you found out who cursed your father?" he asks.

"Is that really necessary now?" Aathiyan questions.

"Yes, it is,"

"Why are you so curious about that?"

"Because I want to know how they did it. I have never seen such a curse as simple and unbreakable as that," he answered, circling his thumb on his forefinger and middle.

"You know, truthfully I don't think it's a curse. How on earth could that be possible?"

"Anything is possible. You are seeing it, but you are refusing to believe it," he said, "All it takes was a small dose of vengeance and anger to inflict pain on someone,"

Aathiyan didn't say anything, it's hard to talk with this man.

"Why are you repugnant to investigate this? Are you afraid to know that your family..."

Aathiyan cut him off and said, "Yes, you are right,"

"This isn't the best time to find fault in my family,"

"I can understand, but you shouldn't avoid this. Because in the future they might set their eyes on you. What's happening to your father might happen to you. Damnation comes in small ways you couldn't expect,"

Aathiyan considered the importance of this after hearing that.

"Then can you help me?" Aathiyan asks, "To find that person responsible for this,"

"I am already helping you," Nilakaran said, "I'll find them and you have to kill Maravarman as soon as possible,"

"I got no other choice. The morning I received a message that he will come here to take my life,"

"Are you afraid?" he asked.

"No," Aathiyan shook his head, "I can defeat a trained fighter as if it's an easy job but I can't deal with my family who's betraying me,"

Nilakaran nodded, "Not everyone is betraying you; I think your friend is a loyal man," "Trust the right person. But be merciless to your opponent, once they wanted you to be gone then that's the time you should be awake because you'll die even when you are asleep. Don't be a blind eye to this kind of issue, that's not good for you,"

Hearing this advice, Aathiyan wanted to know who Nilakaran was before settling in the forest.

"I take your advice, thank you," Aathiyan agreed. He can't let someone kill him and take his precious life. He has to be awake.

In the meantime, while walking to her pottery class, Kayanangau saw Mathinila sitting under a tree and she looked sorrowful. Kayannagai can't help but feel pity for her sister so she left everything behind and went to say some comforting words. Kayanangai believed that Veera was a nobleman just like his father but when she heard the rumor that he's having a mistress, she felt so angry with him.

She doesn't know how much that is true but everyone knows about it and she thinks it's true.

He tricked her sister to marry him and she trusted him so much. Kayanangai can't help but feel sad for her sister and loathes Veera.

"Mathinila," she called her.

Mathinila quickly wiped her tears.

"Why are you sitting here alone?" Kayanangai asks.

"I just want to be alone," she said.

"Have you had your lunch?" she asks, looking at her baby bump.

"Yes, I did. You?"

Kayanangai replied yes. Even though she wanted to ask why she's looking sad, what's happening between her and her husband, and what happened to her, she didn't ask anything.

She thought it would hurt her more so she stayed silent.

"I think I should leave now," Kayanangai said.

"Where are you going?"

"To learn pottery," Kayanangai asks, "Do you want to come with me?"

"Maybe tomorrow,"

Kayanangai smiles, nodding her head.

When she took a few steps to leave, "Have you heard those rumors?" Mathinila asked.

"Rumors?" Kayanangai asks like she doesn't know anything.

"Forget it," Mathinila quickly turned to the other side.

Maybe if she had said the truth, Mathinila might have blurted the things that were bothering her but Kayanangai avoided it. She thought it's best too, she can't trust her sister. Lately, Mathinila isn't like how she used to be. Even this sadness is to know what I am thinking, Kayanangai thought.

Sumitra woke Narenthiran for the third time.

"Wake up. How long are you planning to sleep?" she frowned.

He tiredly rose, hearing her rants.

"Let me sleep for some more time," Narenthiran muttered and fell back on the silk mattress.

"No. You didn't talk to me about anything since you came back and I want to know what happened on the trip. Especially who is that man that you brought," she asks.

"He's a crazy old man," Narenthiran replies, hugging the pillows.

"Then how did my brother trust him?"

"Because he's different and I believe, he can cure your father,"

"Great, but now you both brought this war," she said.

"We couldn't avoid that," Narenthiran got up and looked at her face.

"It felt like a nightmare," Narenthiran says, "I was nearly killed if Aathiyan wasn't there then..." he stopped seeing Sumitra's face.

"Please don't go anywhere dangerous. I want you to be here," she held his hand.

He smiles.

"I met the physician and she said I'll give birth next week," Sumitra warned, "So don't go anywhere away from me,"

"I won't," he agreed. "Now let me sleep for some time," he said and laid on her lap.

"Aathiyan, he's so different compared to what I thought about him," Narenthiran mumbled before closing his eyes.

"What's that mean?" Sumitra rocked his shoulders.

"Nothing," he said. She didn't disturb his sleep and caressed his hair, remembering what the fortune-teller said the other day. She said all the good things that are going to happen and she also added that everything is going to be short-lived. Sumitra didn't utter a single word that she's going to have a son with Narenthiran because she doesn't want any bad thing to happen because of her silly mouth.

The fortune-teller warned that she should keep it inside until that happens.

Standing before the big oak tree in her garden, Rani waited for Veera to show up. Then he came there late as if he didn't do anything wrong. His mother's face glowered in anger to see him.

"How dare you do this? How could you?" Rani frowned and started to beat his shoulders, which didn't affect him slightly.

"Mother, please," he annoyed and grabbed her hands.

"What happened? Why are you angry at me?" he asked.

"Don't you know? Don't you dare pretend as if you don't know anything? You are..." she stopped. "I wonder whether you are really my son,"

"It's too late to have that doubt," Veera said.

"He's your brother and how could you plan to kill him. I told you where he was going in case you might help him but what have you done, Veera?" she poured out her frustration and she felt guilty for trusting Veera. When Aathiyan asked those questions she couldn't control her tears.

"And Narenthiran was also there. What if something had happened to him? "Can you have that strength to see your sister as a widow?" she asked.

Veera didn't say anything and looked away from her.

"He's not my brother," Veera said.

His mother got furious hearing that.

"Don't you dare say that again? He's your brother,"

"No, he isn't my brother and that man isn't my father. Stop saying that lie again and again on my face," he gritted, and seeing his anger scared his mother. She never expected he had this much resentment inside him.

"Veera?" her voice came out barely in that shock.

What happened to her son? What's going on in his head.

"Don't ever say those things from your mouth. Do you want your life to be doomed?" she asked.

Veera has no fear for that threat anymore. He has his ways to make his life better than anyone else. But if he's going to lose, he will make sure everyone faces the same fate at the end.

"Yes, I sent a message to Maravarman so that he can kill Aathiyan. Is this what you want to know?" he asks.

Rani looked at him with tears brimming out of her eyes.

"Why do you want to kill your brother? You can fight him for his position but you shouldn't kill him,"

"He's not your son, mother,"

"I didn't give birth to him but still he's my son. I love him just like how I love you and your sister,"

Veera rolled his eyes hearing that.

"Veera why are you turning selfish? You should be grateful for this life,"

"I don't grateful at all. For all my life, that man treated me like those guards. He never considered me as his son, so why do you love Aathiyan as your son?" he asked.

"Even Though I have all the talent to be the King, he chose his son. He's so cunning, mother and you are not seeing that,"

Rani got no answers for that.

"Whatever you say, nothing is going to change me," she said.

"That goes for me too. I will do anything to get what I deserve and I won't serve Aathiyan," Veera said.

"Veera," his mother scowled. "Don't do anything bad to anyone. That's how you can be happy,"

"I will be happy when I get what I want," he retorted.

"I don't know what to do with you. You are like your father, you better change yourself and what are those rumors. Are you having a mistress when Mathinila is pregnant with your child?" she asks.

"No, that's not true," Veera's voice shook as he's lying.

"Don't lie to me. Everyone knows about that. You should ask forgiveness to your wife and cut all the ties with that whore," his mother warned, losing all her patience.

Veera didn't avert his gaze until she walked away and then he thought. "Mother you are now against me and I have no mercy for anyone who's against me,"
