— calm before
the storm

Giggles left Sienna Jones' lips as she grasped onto a sharpie. She used her free hand to cover her mouth, trying to silence her laughter.

"You're going to wake him up." Sam whispered behind her, quiet laughter leaving her own lips as they both stared down at the sleeping Chris.

Sienna bit her tongue as she pulled the lid off, leaning down to doodle on her best-friend's face. "It's his fault for drinking too much." Sienna and Sam turned at the voice of Beth, who had a grin on her lips. "Looks like Josh will be next." She nodded towards her brother, who was stumbling around in the kitchen with Giselle, both completely drunk.

The three girls shared a chuckle as they turned back to Chris. Sienna leaned down towards Chris, who was asleep on the couch.

She pushed her curls out of the way as she stared to draw on Chris's face, Sam having to wack her shoulder to stop her loud laughter.

"Should i put 'I heart Ashley'?" Sienna looked over her shoulder at the two girls, grin on her face.

Sam and Beth both nodded their heads with a grin, making Sienna turn around and write it on his forehead.

Once Sienna was done, she stood up, grinning down at her work. "I could be an artists." Sienna hummed, crossing her arms over her chest as she stood beside Sam.

"Let me write something." Sam held out her hand for the pen, making Sienna place it in her hand. "Thank you." She said in a sing-song voice, walking towards Chris with a grin.

Sienna covered her mouth with her hand once more, leaning into Beth as the two muffled their laughter. The brunette then looked over her shoulder, watching as Giselle rested her head on the counter. "I'll be back." Sienna giggled, pressing a kiss to Beth's cheek as she made her way to the kitchen.

Josh still had his arm slung around the sleeping Giselle's shoulders, a bottle of alcohol in his other hand. He turned when he heard Sienna enter the kitchen. "Ah, Ce-Ce!" Josh grinned, placing the bottle on the counter. "Have you come to—to join us?" He hiccuped.

A chuckle left Sienna's lips as she made her way to his side. "I've had my fill of alcohol for a night." She raised her hands in defence, making Josh pout. "And it looks like Gi has, too." She pointed to the blonde, whose head was laid on the counter. "Help me get her to bed. Or, are you too drunk to walk in a straight line?" She grinned at the boy.

Josh scoffed, shaking his head as he sat up. "No, no. I am fine." Sienna raised her brow as he went to stand from the chair.

A hum left Sienna's lips as she reached out to stabilise Josh, her arm wrapping around his waist. "Yeah, sure you are." She sarcastically said, feeling Josh lean into her side. "Let's lie you down, Chris is already fast asleep." She chuckled, keeping her hand on his waist.

"That's because he—he can't handle his alcohol." Josh nodded his head, leaning his head on her shoulder as she guided him to the couch.

Sam and Beth had both left, Sam going to join the others and Beth went to take the rubbish out.

"Come on." Sienna said in a sing-song voice, moving to place him down on the couch opposite Chris. A sigh left her lips as she sat him down. "There you go. You good?"

Josh nodded his head, looking up at her with a drunken grin. "Yep. But..." He trailed off, tilting his head to the side as he reached for her hand. "I'd be even better if you joined me."

Sienna's brows pinched together as she stared down at him. Then, before she could question him, he tugged on her hand.

A quiet gasp left her lips as she stumbled forwards, landing on his lap as she held onto his shoulders. "Josh." She quietly scolded, hitting his shoulder as he chuckled. "You need to rest." She went to get up but Josh kept a firm grip on her hips.

"Have I ever told you that you look hot?"

Sienna chuckled, rolling her eyes at his drunken words. "Once or twice." She patted his shoulders. "But, I need to look after Giselle." She tutted, freeing herself from his grip as she stood. He let out a groan, resting his head on the sofa. "Cheer up." She moved around the sofa, standing behind him. "Try get some rest." She smiled, pressing a kiss to his head.

Sienna heard him grumble as she moved back towards the kitchen, and towards Giselle. Sienna still held a smile on her face as she placed her hands on Giselle's shoulder. "Gi?" She softly said, shaking the girl.

But the blonde just groaned, shifting as she kept her head rested on the table. "Sleep time." Giselle mumbled, shaking her head.

Sienna rolled her eyes once more, moving forward to carefully pull Giselle from her seat. Giselle groaned once more, leaning into Sienna. "Yes, you can sleep. But not on the counter." Sienna simply said, dragging Giselle to the stairs.

Giselle continued to utter random things in a drunken state, letting Sienna pull her upstairs. Sienna led her to the room herself, Giselle, Jessica and Sam were staying in.

Sienna carefully opened the room, guiding Giselle to the bed with a sigh. "Next time I am the one getting this drunk." She uttered to herself, placing the out of it Giselle on the bed. "Now you can sleep."

Giselle nodded her head, her eyes closed as she curled up into a ball in the bed. Sienna shook her head with a smile, moving to pull a blanket over Giselle.

Without saying anything else, Sienna left, quietly closing the door behind her as she left. She cracked her knuckles as she made her way down the lodge stairs, watching as Beth walked in. "The drunks are asleep." Sienna called down to her best friend, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah, Josh and Chris are out cold." Beth said, walking around the couch as she looked down at the sleeping two. "Where is everyone else?"

Sienna shrugged her shoulders, moving to Beth's side. "No clue." Sienna sighed, the laid walking into the kitchen. "They were all together, Hannah included-"

Her words were soon cut short as heavy footsteps were heard and the door being thrown open. Both girls frowned as they looked out the window, seeing Hannah rush out into the storm. "Hannah?" Beth frowned at her sister's actions.

"What is she doing?" Sienna frowned as she turned to Beth, who looked confused and worried. "Come on." Sienna grabbed her arm, pulling her away from the kitchen.

Sienna and Beth opened the door to see the rest of the group already out there, calling for Hannah. "What's going on? Where is she going?" Beth asked as she kept her hand around Sienna's wrist.

"Ugh, it's fine." Jessica shook her head as Sienna turned to her, frowning. "She just can't take a joke."

"What did you guys do?" Sienna looked at them all with a frown, keeping close to Beth as she hugged herself, due to it being freezing and snowing. She regretted not grabbing her coat on the way out.

"It was just a silly prank." Jessica inputted, crossing her arms over her chest, rolling her eyes as Emily hummed beside her.

"Yeah, it was just a prank, Han!" Emily called out, thinking Hannah could hear her.

"What did you do?!" Beth turned to them with a raised eyebrow. Everyone pulled awkward looks as Beth shook her head.

"We were just messaging around, guys." Mike then said, shaking his head. "Nothing serious."

"Oh, because Hannah would react like this and run out of her own lodge if it wasn't serious?" Sienna scoffed. How idiotic could he be? "You idiot!" She moved towards Mike, only to be stopped by Sam.

"Sienna." Sam stepped forward, trying to calm the girl down, but Beth's iron grip on Sienna made her move away, turning around.

"Hannah!" Beth called out, jogging through the snowy woods. Sienna kept up with her paste, not wanting to loose Hannah in a flipping snow blizzard.

"Hannah! Come on!" Sienna called out as Beth pulled her along. Sienna was freezing, her teeth chattering against each other as she pushed away the leaves.

The two girls had been jogging for a while, trying to find Beth. But they came to a stop, catching their breaths.

Beth turned to Sienna, finally letting go of her wrist as she shook her head. "You're freezing, Ce-Ce." Beth's worried voice hit Sienna's ears.

"I'm fine, we need to find Hannah." Sienna shook her off. She wouldn't let Hannah be alone in the woods, nor Beth, but Beth wasn't having it.

"No, you will get your ass back to the lodge and wake up my brother. I will find Hannah and bring her back." Beth insisted, but Sienna hesitated, not wanting to leave her alone. "Sienna, please. I can't having you freezing to death on my account." She longed to the flimsy coat around Sienna. "Please."

Sienna bit down on her lip, hesitating before she nodded. "Please be safe, and get Hannah. I'll talk some sense into the rest." Sienna promised as she squeezed Beth's hand, the Washington girl smiling at her. "Be careful."

"I will." Beth nodded her head. "Now, go." Beth practically pushed her ahead.

Sienna looked over her shoulder, clinging to her arms as she watched as Beth disappeared into the distance.

Little did she know, that would be the last time she would see either of the Washington sisters.

Sienna jones hurried back the way she came, not expecting to see Sam with a worried look. "Sienna, thank god." Sam breathed out as she held the shivering girls bare arm. "Where's Hannah and Beth?"

"We couldn't find Hannah." Sienna shivered, holding onto Sam as they shared worried looks. "Beth told me to come back and wake Josh up."

"Come on, you're freezing." Sam sighed, holding onto her as they walked back to the lodge. Both two girls sensed something was wrong. But they couldn't have done anything about it.

Sienna couldn't help but sigh as she walked into the lodge, feeling the warmth hit her. She heard the voices of the rest, talking about the Washington sisters. And it made Sienna's blood boil. They had caused Hannah to run out.

So when Sienna and sam reached the voices, they all stopped talking. "Where are Beth and Hannah?" Matt asked, crossing her arms over her chest with an anxious look.

"Fuck knows, because of you idiots!" Sienna pointed at them with narrowed eyes. "I swear if they don't return-"

"Oh, Ce-Ce, stop." Jessica groaned, throwing her head back. "They'll be fine. Hannah is being dramatic."

"What if they're not?" Sienna panicked, running a hand over her head and brushing through her hair. "Whatever you guys did, wasn't just a silly prank." She breathed out, Sam's hand on her arm calming her down. "I'm going to wake up Josh." She muttered to Sam, who nodded her heads, watching her leave.

As soon as Sienna left the room, she could hear Sam's voice yell at the group, completely annoyed, and frustrated. Hannah was her best friend as well.

Sienna hugged herself as she opened the door to the kitchen, seeing Josh and Chris, still knocked out on the couches.

Sienna quietly made her way over to Josh, crouching down in front of him and reading her hands on his arm and trying to shake him awake. "Josh." She uttered, not wanting to startle him. "Joshua." She said a little bit louder as the boy stirred in his sleep. "Come on."

Josh let out a groan, wincing as the light hit his eyes, covering them with his arms. "What's wrong? Someone dead?" He sarcastically said, but Sienna's face held no humour.

"Josh, Beth and Hannah are in the woods."
