"Are you sure these thestrals are even here?"

Fletcher practically pulled Dawn through the woods, in search of the thestrals he apparently saw at the start of the year. She also remembered seeing them, but wouldn't have even thought to use them. Hagrid wasn't in his hunt when they arrived down to ask him, and the Quidditch pitch was locked.

"Right ahead of us. They are up there. I can see them."

Dawn looked ahead and saw a group of thestrals by the end of the woods. The two of them ran up to them and exchanged looks. They were tall creatures, and didn't appear the most friendliest.

"How do you think the others have been?" Fletcher asked. "There's a chance maybe James was at the fire place and is fine."

"Maybe he isn't though."

"What should we do?"

"I don't know yet but I reckon maybe we
should take one and fly. We can go the grounds and see if they are waiting."

Dawn looked at him, and nods. She looked towards the thestrals and makes a face. When she turns she seen Fletcher had climbed up into the Thestral with ease.

"Did I tell you that other than small spaces, the other thing I'm terrified of is heights." Dawn tells him uncomfortably, turning to him.

Fletcher extends both his hands and pulls her up on to the same thestral as him. She wraps her arms around his torso. "I think I'm going to be sick. What happens if I fall-"

Fletcher turns. "Just hold on tight. You need to confront your fears to get over them."

Dawn blinked, and held on tightly. "Right confront my fears to get over them-"

Her sentence was cut off when suddenly the thestral darted off into the air and the rest of them followed with him in suit. She let out a small scream and could tell they were miles above Hogwarts.

Fletcher let out a laugh. "Open your eyes, Kale. Look at the view!"

She didn't look only squeezed her eyes closer. "I've seen Hogwarts a million times. I don't need to see it again."

"You've never seen it like this though."

Dawn hesitantly opened one eye and looked across Hogwarts. Her eyes widened. He was right, she'd never seen it like this before. It looked much bigger than it felt. They flew over the Black Lake, and Fletcher spotted everyone coming out of the woods.

"Down there!" he yelled. "We need to go down thestral...down....!"

The thestral stoped flying and flew right down to the ground. They landed in front of everyone and it caused them all to scream out in fright.

Dawn looked at Harry who nodded. So, Voldemort did have James. She pushed part the horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach, and focused on getting to the Ministry.

"What on earth are you two doing?" Hermione asked in fright. "How did-"

"What-I mean how did you-"

"No time." Dawn interrupted to Ron, she presumed he couldn't see them. "We found the thestrals in the woods and figured they're are quickest bet to get there. Pick one and get on."

"Smart idea." Harry says, climbing up onto one.

Dawn looked at Ron and Hermione who hadn't moved. "What's wrong with you two? Scared?"

"How're we supposed to get on?" Ron asked faintly. "When we can't see the things?"

Fletcher laughed. "Just jump and grab."

"Oh it's easy," said Luna, sliding obligingly from her thestral and marching over to him, and Hermione. "Come here. . . ."

She softly took Hermione's hand, and pulled her onto one of the other thestrals standing around and one by one managed to help them onto the backs of their mounts. Hermione seemed like she was going to vomit, and Ron was shaking incredulously when he finally got onto one.

"This is mad," Ron mentions, his voice shaking. "Mad, if I could just see it -"

"You'd better hope it stays invisible," Harry mentioned. "We all ready, then?"

"Ministry of Magic, visitors' entrance, London, then," he said uncertainly. "Er . . . if you know . . . where to go . . ."

Nothing happened for a moment, until her theastral suddenly shot up into the air.

When they made it to the Ministry of Magic, Dawn was sure she was going to get sick. She was not sure how all of them made it there safety, but they did. Dawn topped down to the ground outside the Ministry and Fletcher helped her up. She was sure she was even more scared of heights now.

"You alright?" he asked.

"I'm fine. You?"

"I feel a little hungry, but other than that I'm alright."

She let out a small smile but Ron toppled over to them both letting out a series of yells. From behind her, Hermione and Luna got off theirs much more elegantly.

"Never again," Ron screamed. "Never ever again, that was the worst -"

"Where do we go from here, then?" Luna asked.

"Over here," Harry said. He points across the street to a red phone booth. "Come on!" They all huddled into the red phone box, crammed up into each other. Someone held her hand and she could only hope that it was Fletcher. "Whoever's nearest the receiver, dial six two four four two!"

Dawn glances down and managed to dial in the numbers.

"Welcome to the Ministry of Magic. Please state your name and business."

"Harry Potter, Dawn Potter, Fletcher Usaf, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, and Luna Lovegood . We're here to save someone, unless your Ministry can do it first!"

Dawn eyes widened when he said her name. Potter?

"Thank you," replied the female voice. "Visitors, please take the badges and attach them to the front of your robes."

Seven badges slid out of the metal chute. Hermione took them and passed them around. She took the badge and looked at the bold, black words across it, HARRY POTTER rescue mission.

"Visitor to the Ministry, you are required to submit to a search and present your wand for registration at the security desk, which is located at the far end of the Atrium."

"Fine!" Harry held his forehead in pain, and she noticed it. "Now can we move?"

Suddenly they were going downwards, and the box was submerged into the pavement. It went through the floors at a rapid past, and from what she could see, it looked empty. Fletcher kept her hands in his.

"Come on," Harry told them lowly. The seven of them sprinted off down the hallway, until making it down the hallway. There hadn't been anyone here, despite the fact it was only four o'clock. They made it down to a set of golden gates which led down to the lifts. They all huddled in, and she pressed down on the number nine.

"Department of Mysteries." a different female robotic voice said.

None of them wasted any time in getting out of the elevator, wand in hand, and towards the door at the end of the hall. Dawn reached forward opening it.
They all entered a large, circular room. The entire room was black and they couldn't see. It was even harder to see when Neville slammed the door, taking away all the light. Suddenly the ground started to rumble, and the walls moved.

"What's happening?" Dawn yelled, falling on-top of Ron, who flimsily tried to catch her.

"What was that about?" Ron whispered, as it stopped.

"I think it's to stop us knowing which door we came in from." Fletcher mentioned, "There's so many doors. It's to stop us from knowing where to go."

"How're we going to get back out?" Neville trembled from beside her.

"Well, that doesn't matter now," Harry's voice answered. "We won't need to get out till we've found our dad -"

"Don't go calling for him, though!"

"Where do we go, then, Harry?"

"I don't," Harry began. "In the dreams I went through the door at the end of the corridor from the lifts into a dark room that's this one and then I went through another door into a room that kind of glitters. We should try a few doors. I'll know the right way when I see it. C'mon."

Fletcher grabbed her hand and the two of them walked into the room. This room was rectangular shaped and more brighter. The room was empty and had a few desks around. There was also desks that had a white-pinkest statue floating around.

Fletcher held his nose. "What are those?"

"Aquavirius maggots!" Luna told him excitedly. Fletcher looked down at her curiously. "Dad said the Ministry were breeding -"

"No." Hermione interrupts. "They're brains."

"Brains?" Dawn scrunched her nose up and looked down at them. She rose an eyebrow, "What are the ministry doing with brains?"

"Let's get out of here," Harry told them all quickly coming over to them. "This isn't right, we need to try another door-"

"There are doors here too." Ron pointed out.

"What happened in your dream, Harry?" Dawn questioned, brows furrowing. "What did you see? Anything that can help us?"

"I went through that dark room into the second one. I think we should go back and try from there."

They returned back into the other room they first came into. She stayed beside Fletcher and Luna, and moved around the room.

"Wait!" Hermione yells to Luna, "Flagrate!" she drew with her wand in midair and an X appeared on the door. Again the wall began to move very fast and when all became still again, the fiery cross still burned, showing the door they had already tried.

"Good thinking," Harry mentions, "Okay, let's try this one-"

They all walked towards the door with their wands raised. Dawn looked towards the hanging, unsupported black curtain veil. She walked back towards Fletcher.

"Who's there?" Harry yelled after a loud bang went through the room.

She looked down at Harry who went down the archway below the veil. His footsteps echoed loudly.

"Let's go," Hermione called. "This isn't right, Harry, come on, let's go."

"What are you saying?" Harry yelled.

"Nobody's talking, Harry!"

"Someone's whispering behind there. Is that you, Ron?"

"I'm here, mate,"

"Can't anyone else hear it?"

"I can hear them too," breathed Luna, "There are people in there!"

"What do you mean, 'in there'" Hermione demanded. "There isn't any 'in there,' it's just an archway, there's no room for anybody to be there - Harry, stop it, come away -"

"Dad," Harry repeated, coming out from behind the veil. Yeah. Right we should go, and find him."

Once they left the room, she noticed Fletcher had kept looking behind them, and closing his eyes.

"What d'you reckon that arch was? Hermione?"

"I don't know, but whatever it was, it was dangerous." he went over and tried to open the door but it didn't work. "It's . . . locked . . ."

"This is it, then, isn't it?" said Ron excitedly, joining Harry in the attempt to force the door open. "Bound to be!"

"Get out of the way!" said Hermione sharply. She pointed her wand at the place where a lock would have been on an ordinary door and said, "Alohomora!"

"Sirius's knife!" Harry's eyes widened, and he reached down into his pocket, and pulled out the knife Sirius gave him. She remembered him giving it to him during the holidays. Harry leaned forward and slid into into the small opening and drew it around. Nothing happened, and the door remained completely closed.

"Right, we're leaving that room," Hermione ordered.

"But what if that's the one?" Ron questioned.

"It can't be, Harry could get through all the doors in his dream."

"You know what could be in there?" Luna began.

"Something blibbering, no doubt," Hermione whispered.

The door suddenly swung open.

"This is it!" Harry shouted before gesturing towards the hallway. They reached another door and Harry barely even pushed it open and it open it.

Dawn looked around at the hundreds different types of crystals balls on shelves.

"You said it was row ninety-seven. We need to go right, I think," whispered Hermione, squinting to the next row. "Yes . . . that's fifty-four. . . ."

"Keep your wands out," Harry said softly.

They crept forward, staring behind them as they went on down the aisles.

"Ninety-seven!" whispered Hermione, as they reached the row.

"Harry." Ron called out. "Have you seen this?"

"What?" Harry repeated glumly.

"It's - it's got your name on."

Dawn and Fletcher walked towards the two boys and looked down. One of the glass spheres that had been covered all in dust had a small label wrote across it.

S.P.T. to A.P.W.B.D. Dark Lord
and
(?) Harry Potter

"What is it?" Ron asked. "What's your name doing down here?".

"I'm not here. None of the rest of us are here. . . ."

"Harry, I don't think you should touch it." Hermione told him sharply. "Harry."

"Why not?" her brother replied. "It's something to do with me, isn't it?"

"Don't, Harry," Neville whispered.

"It's got my name on." Harry whispers.

Dawn extends her hand and when Fletcher didn't take it, she turned around. Her eyes widened when she saw he had been walking off into the distance. She quickly went towards him. He disappeared quickly behind one of the shelves. When she found him, he was not alone.

There was three death eaters around, one of them held Fletcher and she only seen the third one when he snuck up and grabbed her.

Fletcher was screaming for her but she heard no words. There was a silencing charm cast around them. She tried to escape his grasp, but it didn't work. She screamed but no one could hear them The three death eaters pulled them into a room far away from the others and closed the door. It was completely dark and she could barely see Fletcher.

When they were eventually let go, the two of them landed down to the ground. Fletcher came to her, helping her up from the ground. "Are you alright?"

Dawn nods, "Yeah, you?"

He nods but Dawn seen he was looking ahead of her. His eyes focused on someone else. She could hear someone breathing from behind her, and when she turned she seen who he was looking at.

They were staring ahead at the Dark Lord, who had requested them.
