CHAPTER 20

I followed Wave as he guide me, I don't know but even though I don't trust him, I still followed him.

I should be leaving him and just find my cohorts but I know he knows where they are. I should trust him even though he seems suspicious.

He kidnapped and helped me escape, is he a psychopath or what?

"If you're thinking that I'm a psychopath, no I'm not. I'm helping you, can't you just thank me for that?"

I was stunned a bit but I just mentally rolled my eyes. "I don't care about you, I care about my crew. Shut up and just walk."

He looked at me and acted like he's hurt. Seriously, eto ba yung kinatatakutan ko?

"You're too harsh, honey. Wala talagang thank you?"

I just stared at him emotionlessly so he chuckled.

"Kung hindi ako nagbago at nakita kita ng mas maaga, I'm sure I'll play with you like a toy. You're quite interesting,"

"I don't care."

He chuckled again at my response and shook his head. "Savage, eh?"

We both hide when a group of men run hastily to our direction. I can say he's good at it, he's moving like a ninja. Ang bilis n'ya.

"From here, dalawang palapag pa ang aakyatin mo bago marating ang kinaroroonan ng mga kasamahan mo. I'll stay here, hindi nila ako puwedeng makita."

I nodded and left him without saying a word.

"Ibang klase talaga," huling katagang narinig ko mula sa kan'ya bago ako tumakbo papunta sa ibabaw na palapag.

I wasn't sure if I can trust him but I should risk it, I couldn't just leave my crew behind without trying. Also, there's a possibility that he's not lying. I can see it in his eyes, he's far away from the Wave I knew weeks ago. He's not like that, if he's my rival then he should be made me miserable right after he saw me.

When I reach the stairs, I looked everywhere and saw a CCTV. I cursed and avoided it. Bakit hindi ko naisip 'yon? Of course, there will be a camera all over the building. They're aware how deft I am to escape their cage.

But. . . did Wave knew that there's a camera while we were walking earlier? Of course he knows!

Napasapo ako ng noo dahil sa naisip, nag-aalinlangan na ako sa pagpunta sa itaas na palapag. Paano kung kamatayan ang naghihintay sa 'kin doon? I can't trust Wave that easily, I don't know him that well. Even though he helped me escape from those guys earlier, I still can't risk everything.

What if he's lying? What if my crew wasn't in there?

I cursed.

Pero kung hindi ko susubukan, hindi ko malalaman ang lahat. Kailangan ko lang mag-ingat. Tama, mag-iingat lang ako. At kapag mali ang pagpunta ko sa lugar na 'yon, pipilitin ko talagang maka-alis sa lugar na 'yon at paghigantihan si Wave.

I sighed and started to walk while looking at the surrounding. I need to avoid the camera as soon as possible.

Nang makarating ako sa pupuntahan ko ay napasinghap na lamang ako. Madaming lalaki na nakabantay doon, hindi nila ako nakikita dahil nakatago ako. Totoo ngang nandito ang mga kasamahan ko.

I hid myself from them and find some weapons to use, there is a lot of rooms in one floor. Dito ko nakita halos lahat ng mga tauhan nila.

I'm not sure about their count, though, I know they're too much for me to handle. Yes, that's right. They're too many to die for, so I really need to save my crew first before moving. Also, I don't have that much strength to fight. I doubt my crew too.

They've been caging us for days so it's not that surprising. Moreover, they also tied us the whole time. I'm not sure about my crew but there's a ninety percent of possibility that they also tied them up.

After searching some weapons for a minute, I finally saw a rifle and a knife. It was on the table inside the room.

I heard the door knob of the door moving so It instantly hid behind the door while it's opening.

"Nakatakas daw ang babae sa ibabang palapag, paano kaya n'ya natakasan ang mga tauhan doon?"

The other man walked inside and let the door opened making me sighed in relief.

"Hindi mo dapat minamaliit ang babaeng 'yon, isa s'ya sa pinakamagaling sa agency nila hindi ba? Kaya hindi na ako magtataka pa."

I hid myself even more when a couple of man entered the room again.

"Anong gagawin natin?" one of them asked.

"Hayaan na muna natin sila na kumilos, kailangan nating bantayan ang mga bihag dito."

And there it is, the words that I wanted to hear at the first place. They're here, surprisingly, I trusted Wave a bit.

"Nasaan ang dalawa? Mag-uusap tayo hindi ba? Bakit nahuli na naman sila?"

Ibig sabihin n'on ay anim sila sa loob na to, kung gagalaw ako dapat kalkulado. Hindi dapat mamintis ang paggalaw ko, dahil isang tunog lang ng baril mula sa kanila ay talagang katapusan ko na. Hindi dahil mapapatay nila ako kung 'di dahil malalaman ng lahat ang kinaroroonan ko.

So right after the two man entered the room, I slammed the door shut and kick the two man down. They alerted when they saw and were ready to get their gun out when I throw the knife to them, a couple of men lost their consciousness when my knife darted right into their heart.

The two who's left standing were pointing their gun at me while I walked slowly towards the direction of the unconscious body of the two. I was also pointing my gun at them but they were stupid enough to let me go nearer the body.

Ang dalawang napatumba ko kanina dahil sa pagsipa ay unti-unting tumatayo kaya naging alerto ako. When I reach the body, I used my foot to get the knife out of him and kick it to the other man while I throw my gun to the other. I run to them and started to throw punches, I kicked the man's little friend making him groan and kneel in front of me. One last kick on his face and he lost his consciousness.

The two I kicked a while ago started to fight with me, they attacked first but I immediately catch his fist and pushed him to the wall with force. The other one tried to punch me but I veered my body and kicked his stomach with force making him spitted a blood from his mouth.

I once again kick him until he lost his consciousness. After that, I took the gun from the floor and walked to the man I pushed on the wall earlier.

I walked nearer him and slammed the gun on his head making him lost his consciousness. Nawalan silang lahat ng malay at nakakuha din ako ng impormasyon at gamit para sa pagligtas ko sa mga kasamahan ko.

But before I left the room, I undress one of them and changed my clothes. I even get one of their cap and wore it.

I went out of the room silently and walked to the corridor without a sound. They wouldn't notice me for sure, I dressed up like one of those guards.

When I reach the door of that room, I opened it and saw my crew breathing heavily as if they're suffering from those men. My face went blank and grew darker as I imagined their condition.

Napunta sa 'kin ang atensyon ng dalawang lalaki na nakaharap sa kanila.

"Hindi ba't sabi sa inyo na–"

I didn't let him say a word again and just slammed the chair on his body and stabbed the other one. Halatang nagulat ang kasamahan ko sa nangyari pero nawala ang pag-aalala nila nang makita ang mukha ko nang tanggalin ko ang suot kong sumbrero.

"Cap,"

Sinimulan kong tanggalin ang pagkatali sa kanila at nang matapos ay kinuha ang baril na hawak ng dalawa kanina.

"Cap, may kasama pa kami."

Napataas ako ng kilay at tumingin sa itinuro ni Kin. I was shocked when I saw Levi together with Dianne and Kit. What are they doing here?

"What the hell?"

Ynah started to unite the three of them while I just stared at their wounded bodies. My face grew even darker when I saw a wound at Levi, it was even bleeding! What the hell!

Naghanap ako ng tela na maaring itali para pigilan ang dugo sa sugat n'ya pero wala akong makita. Lumapit ako sa kan'ya at lumuhod sa harapan n'ya.

"What happened to this?" I asked pertaining to his wound.

"W-wala,"

My face darken even more and he seemed to notice it so he sighed. "Nasalo ko lang ang saksak na para kay Dianne,"

I gritted my teeth in anger. "Nasalo o sinalo?"

He stared at my face but I just looked away and held my shirt to undress it. He looked shocked but I couldn't care less, I stripped the cloth and started to wrap it around his wound.

"You shouldn't have to do that. . ." he said in a low voice.

I didn't hear him and just tied it up even more. "Shut up,"

Bakit ba sila umabot dito?

When I was done I stood up and looked at my crew. "What happened?"

Myra looked at Lian and sighed. "We also don't know, ask them."

Because of that, I looked at the three of them and they just sighed.

"We have a medical mission here in Cebu right after the party at Cam Island. We're not expecting to see your crew outside this building and was caged up because of what we saw."

That's impossible.

Right, that's really impossible. Wave, Caion and him were friends, why did they let him caged up?

Wait. . .what?

Naguguluhan na talaga ako. Why did Wave helped me? Why did they caged Levi?

Napahawak ako sa ulo ko nang bigla itong sumakit. Here it goes again, the pain when I forced myself to remember something from the past. This is also one of the reason why I'm avoiding any part of my past. I don't want to die because of pain.

Furthermore, the psychiatrist that I've been seeing those years ago said that it's better to stay unaware of my past. It's the best way to avoid any complications of my illness.

"Bakit?" I muttered.

"I-i don't know,"

I stared back at him when he lowered his head and stood up. I didn't leave my eyes on him but it was cut off because of Myra. She blocked my way to Levi and stared at me deeply.

"We need to get out of this building as soon as possible, no time for that, Cap."

I nod my head and turned my back at them. Is it starting?

We all left the room and started to walk quietly at the corridor, I heard a loud noise coming from a lot of men running towards our direction. By hearing it, it was fifty meters away.

I opened the door I entered earlier where I take down the six people and let my crew and the doctor came in.

"Anong nangyari dito?"

"I killed them," I said firmly.

By saying it, I sounded like a devil with no mercy killing her opponent. I wanted to crash my head when I feel being soft again.

No way!

We waited for them to come up, I put my ear on the door of the room and heard them from the side of it. I closed my eyes tightly and focused my mind on their moves.

"Nakatakas na! Bilisan n'yo!"

A lot of running man was heard again. Nang mawala ang tunog ay unti-unti kong binuksan ang pintuan at lumabas. They followed me while Lian was doing some work in the phone she get from those men inside the room.

"I can't contact Nana," she said.

Nailahad ko ang kamay ko sa harapan n'ya para kunin ang telepono sa kan'ya. I dialed Nana's secret number and it just rang twice and she answered.

I smiled a bit because of her voice but I can't waste a time, I spoke. "We're at Cebu, I don't know where exactly but a tall building. It's not that abandoned but looks like it is. We got kidnapped, Nana. I need the help of the agency, even yours."

I heard her ran. [Got it, I'll call you later!]

With that, she ended the call.

Hindi ko na naisip pa ang sunod na nangyari dahil bigla na lang tumunog ang malakas na putok ng baril na nagmula sa ibaba at natamaan ako. Nataranta ang lahat pero dahil sa dalawang tama na nasa tiyan at likuran ko at masyado nang malabo ang paningin ko.

"R-run..." I said weakly.

I kneeled and spitted a blood. They didn't run, instead, they covered me with their body.

I kept on pushing them but I don't have enough strength to do it, I lost a lot of blood because of my wound.

"L-leave. . ." I said but they didn't hear me again.

Until one by one, a men get them and pushed them away from me–leaving me breathlessly.

Napahiga ako sa sahig dahil sa kawalan ng puwersa, my blurry vision darted into the man in front of me. My mouth parted and my eyes sting.

This is not him.

No. No way. I started to tear up when he kneeled in front of me and caressed my face, he put the strand of my hair in the side of my ear.

"You're too precious to ended like this, my baby."

All the tears running down to my cheeks while staring at him, still not believing what I'm seeing. It's not true. No, he's not.

"Dad. . ."
