CHAPTER 19

I opened my eyes and cough numerous times because of the water, someone poured it to me. Nagising ako dahil doon, naaalala ko pa ang nangyari ng nagdaang araw.

Right after Caion said that, he lashed the gun on my head making me lose my consciousness. And now, I already don't know how many days i've been staying inside this room but one thing I'm sure, I'm getting weak.

I squeeze my eyes tightly and looked at the man who poured the water weakly. I can't even open my eyes easily.

"Gising na! Kakausapin ka pa ni boss!"

I swallowed and lick my dry lip, I also shut my eyes and just opened it when I notice someone's presence in front of me.

I looked up at him and glared. He smirked because of that.

"You really surprise the hell out of me, you're quite strong for a woman."

I spited my saliva on his face and smirked at him. He shut his eyes tightly and glared at me, kung no'ng nakaraan kinakabahan ako, ngayon hindi na. I just felt scared because of my crew, I felt useless but then I realized that they knew what they've been up to.

Also, they know how to protect themselves. They're trained to do their mission, so am I.

"You. . .!?"

I just looked at him coldly and looked at Wave who was looking at me from the corner of the room, tatlo lang kami dito pero ramdam mo ang tensiyon sa pagitan namin.

Wave cold eyes darted into me. Wala s'yang reaksyon habang nakatingin sa 'kin, gano'n din ako.

"What should we do with this woman, Wave!?"

Wave looked at Caion, I just lowered my head when I felt my heart getting painful.

"Just let her, we can't do anything but to do what Zhen says."

I froze for a minute, Zhen? A she? But. . . it could be a he.

"Tsk, she's getting into my nerves. This agent is pissing me off real bad,"

I didn't payed attention to the both of them, I just controlled my breathing and tried to calm down. I relaxed my body and my mind even though I'm tired.

"The fuck!? Are you even listening!?"

Napabalik ako sa sarili ko nang sumigaw si Caion, I looked up at him and saw his red disoriented face.

"Are you listening to me!?"

I just blinked and didn't talked back. His face reddened even more, Wave tapped his shoulder, a sign to make him calm a bit.

"We just want to tell you that your crew will suffer if you won't talk about your agency."

My forehead knotted, what does he mean?

"Let's make it very simple, we were planning to trap all of you, including your agency. We've been planning all of this for years since the day X planned to take us down, and I know you know about it."

Right, commander X told me that he tried to take them down thrice years ago but he did not succeed. So he passed me his mission to complete it, he trusted me that much but I failed him.

"When he tried it once we already planned to take down his agency, thanks to you, I think we will be able to do that."

My face went blank because of that, I'll sacrifice my life to hide the ACA information. I can't betray them, they've been my recourse since then, especially if I want to know something about my past.

"I won't hurt your crew if you'll give me all the information about your agency,"

I smirked evilly. "I think you already know that you can't have the information from me in just some threats."

Wave nodded and pierced his eyes into me. "I know, that's why I prepared this for you," after he said that, a couple of man entered the room with Ynah.

I stared at her but she just looked at me with teary eyes and smiled. Fear consumed all over me, anong gagawin ko?

The man pushed Ynah in front of me, hinawakan kaagad ni Cain ang buhok n'ya habang si Wave naman ay hawak ang baril at nakatutok ito sa ulo ni Ynah.

Gumalaw ako sa kinauupuan ko pero nakatali ng maayos ang kamay ko sa likuran ng upuan. I started to tremble in rage, I looked furiously at the both of them but Caion just smirked while Wave just looked at me emotionlessly.

"I'll kill your friend if you won't talk, can you sacrifice her life?"

I looked at Ynah but she just smiled and shook her, sinasabing hindi ko sasabihin ang nalalaman ko. But how? In exchange of her life? That's not going to happen!

"I won't going to tell you anything! Let her be!" I screamed.

Mas idinikit pa ni Wave ang baril sa ulo ni Ynah dahilan para mapapikit ito at mas kabahan ako.

"Then, should I kill your friend now?" He said emotionlessly.

My eyes sting, I can't tell it. If I'll give them the information of the agency I'm sure they're going to target the agency and all my crew, colleagues and my commanders will be at sake. But if I won't, Ynah will die.

Anong pipiliin ko?

Yumuko ako at saka nag-isip. What should I do?

If I'll give it to them, even though the agency is strong as a rock, they can ruin it. They can kill all my co-agents. Knowing them, they can do it.

I was stuck! I don't know what to do! I fucking don't know!

"Huwag,"

Napataas ako ng tingin kay Ynah nang magsalita ito.

"Huwag kang magsalita." She said with finality in her voice.

I shook my head. I can't risk it, no way!

"It'll be fine, Cap. In short period of time, I enjoyed my life. I don't have family, love of my life, everything. When you came, it changed. But then, I'm willing to sacrifice my life to save the agency. No matter what."

I started to tear up, I didn't let it fall but I can feel my eyes getting wetter.

"No. I won't let that!"

She smiled and a lone tear fell from her eyes before she looked up at Wave. "Just kill me, my life is worthless. Walang iiyak kapag mawawala ako, it's not going to be a problem. She won't let you ruin the agency, neither do I."

It's true, I'll do anything to save the agency but I won't let her sacrifice her life!

"Stop it, Ynah!" I looked at Wave, he stared at me and I seemed to read what's in his mind.

No way.

I looked at Caion but unlike earlier, he looks serious. No, he's really serious.

What should I do?

My breathing ragged, everything is complicated. Nakakalito, wala akong maintindihan sa lahat. Sumasakit ang ulo ko sa mga naiisip, anong gagawin ko? Wala akong magawa!

I looked again at Ynah, she's still looking up at Wave. Insisting him to kill her, but I won't let her. No, never.

"Kill me."

They all looked at me. I decided, I'll sacrifice everything. "Leave her, kill me instead."

Silence filled the room. After a minute, Wave pointed the gun at me.

"Are you sure about that, Ms. Agent?"

I wanted to cry but I didn't let it happen. My cold eyes stared deeply into his. "I'm sure."

Natahimik s'ya. He just stared at me not until someone opened the door, it was the man earlier. Wave looked at him, encouraging him to talk.

"Tawag ka ni boss,"

The man dragged Ynah while I was just staring at her, getting miserable. Caion and Wave looked at me.

"Babalik kami para makuha ang impormasyong kailangan namin, hindi pa tayo tapos."

I looked at Wave in confusion.

What?

I want to ask but before I could utter a word, they left.

I stared at the door confusingly. What was that?

I ignore his stares and just rested my head on the chair, I shut my eyes shut and calmed everything. I relaxed for a bit until darkness fill my mind.

I woke up because of starvation. My stomach growled but I just laugh at it. Kahit kailan talaga ang takaw ko, I can live for two days without water and foods but I still can't change the fact that whenever I started to morsel my foods, I can eat a whole pot of rice in one meal.

I'm also not persnickety eater, I can eat everything, but of course no poison.

My gaze went to the door when it opened, a man entered with a food. I'm salvating while looking at the food, ang gara naman nila magpakain ng bihag nila. Masarap na pagkain talaga?

"Kumain ka na,"

I almost rolled my eyes when he put the plate in front of me where the table spotted.

"Anong gagamitin ko? Bobo ka ba o talagang tanga ka lang para pakainin ako na nakatali ang paa at kamay?" I said sarcastically.

He scratch his name and smiled awkwardly. Lumabas muna s'ya sandali at pagbalik n'ya ay may kasama na s'yang limang lalaki pa. I mentally rolled my eyes because of that, are they scared that I might escape?

I pouted and shot a brow.

I won't try it, well. . .  maybe?

I chuckled surreptitiously, funny.

The man started to untie the rope but he stopped. "Tama, puwede pa lang subuan na lang."

I laughed so hard because of that, when I stopped they glared at me. Bakit ba ang bobo ng tao?

"Tsk, akala mo maiisahan mo kami ha?"

Hindi ako nagsalita at hinayaan lang sila. Sinimulan n'ya akong subuan habang ginagalaw galaw ko ang kamay ko sa likuran.

He's stupid, I really want to laugh so hard because of his idiocy. He untie a bit the rope but he didn't tie it back, nagkaroon tuloy ako nang paraan para makawala.

"Ohh, tapos na. Gusto mo ng tubig?"

I rolled my eyes obviously. "Alangan naman hindi?"

He scratch his name again and the others just laughed at him. Why is he so bobo?

I drank the water from him and rested again. When they left, I looked around the room and saw a CCTV. I shook my head and looked at the window. I'll wait for midnight to escape.

The rope on my wrist was loose. On move and it'll fall from my hand.

While waiting for the night, I rested a bit. Hindi naman nila ako kinulong sa isang abandonadong bahay dahil sigurado akong nasa kuta nila ako. They have CCTV all over the room, I looked at the clock above and it's already morning.

I loosen the rope and it fell. I massage my wrist and my shoulder.

Nakatali lang ako sa upuan na 'yon nang ilang araw kaya masakit talaga sa kamay. Napangisi ako nang walang taong sumugod sa 'kin, tama ang kalkulasyon ko. Tulog ang taga-bantay dito.

I opened the door and it's lock. They're good at securing their prisoner. I roamed around the room and saw a wire. I cut it and did what I learned from the agency, I was trained to open the door using thin things so it's not that hard.

After a minute, I succeed opening the door. Nakahinga ako nang maluwag dahil doon.

I closed the door and the sleepy heads welcomed me at the corner. Napailing ako dahil wala talaga silang kaalam-alam na nakalabas na ako, mga tuleg talaga ang mga bobo sa mundo.

I just get the gun from one of them and left the room, I search the whole area but I never seen any trace of my cohorts even their prints.

Nakarating ako sa isang sulok ng building, when I look down the building shocked me. Ang taas ah?

I tried to remember the place, it's a building in Cebu. Nakaabot kami dito? Parang no'ng isang araw nasa Palawan lang kami ah?

I hide in the corner when I heard someone talking.

"Ano nang gagawin natin?" Caion asked.

"I don't know, it looks like she's stubborn. I don't expect this, they said she's a softie."

Caion chuckled because of what Wave said.

"Funny, she's a savage one. Naniwala ka naman sa laloves mo?"

Wave suddenly smiled and looked away. "Stop it, she know her very well. As well as her friends, your wife knew that."

Caion nodded nonchantly and didn't say anything. Nang makalayo na sila, umalis ako sa kinaroroonan ko at pumunta sa isang sulok. Ang daming tauhan!

Ilang sandali pa ay lumabas na din si Wave at Caion sa kwarto na 'yon.

"As expected, she escaped." Wave uttered.

I really can't understand the both of them, they've been acting weirdly since earlier. But I don't care, all I need to do is to save my crew and leave this shitty building.

"Galing n'ya talaga, paturo nga ako sa susunod paano maging s'ya."

Wave slammed his hand on Caion's nape. "Tumahimik ka nga at magsimula na,"

Caion chuckled and saluted. "Aye! Aye! Captain!"

After that he left and run to the other floor. I sighed in relief because of that.

Weirdoes.

"Hi?"

I almost jumped in my place when Wave suddenly waved his hand on my face while peeking a bit and smiling at me cutely.

"What the fuck. . ." I uttered and slammed the door on his face, he ouch-ed and touched his nose.

"Damn woman!" He looked at me with his bleeding nose.

"Let's go!"

I looked at him weirdly, what's he doing?

He looked back at me when I didn't move in my place. "What are you doing? Let's go and help your mates!"

Nalilito man ay sumunod ako sa kan'ya.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked firmly.

He stopped walking and faced me.

"I just want to, bawal ba?" He said and winked at me.

The fuck?
