CHAPTER 18

"How was it?"

I looked at Myra, I adverted my gaze at her and just stared at the ocean. "It was okay everything is settled, let's just wait for tomorrow to move."

It was all settled, I already handled everything. Yesterday, they enjoyed the company of the Casa and roamed around the Island. While I was settling our place to hide for tomorrow.

Myra left me along with Kin and went inside the bar, yes, there's a bar inside. Maliit lang 'yon pero maayos 'rin dahil marami ang may gusto nito.

After minutes of staring at the blue with red and orange sky, I stood up and went to the bar to inform my cohorts that I'll be sleeping for hours from now.

Maingay ang bar, there's a pool in the center of it and everyone is having fun, including my crew.

Naglakad ako papunta sa kung saan sila nag-iinuman at saka umupo sa harap nila. They're shocked when they saw me but they immediately smiled and cheered me up for a glass of alcohol, I refuse immediately.

I can't drink, tomorrow morning, I'll wake up early and checked everything including the snipes.

I shook my head again. "No, I'll just check up on you and I'll be leaving."

They groaned and just rolled their eyes when I said that. "Cap naman! Wala ka talagang happy pills sa katawan!"

Umiling ako nang ilang ulit at saka tumayo na lang. "I'm leaving, don't drink too much. We still have a mission tomorrow,"

They waved their hands in unison and bore their eyes on me with boredom. "Yes, Cap! We know," sabay-sabay nilang ani na ikina-ikot ng mata ko.

I left them and walked through the crown but I stopped when I spotted an familiar man in the midst of the crowd.

Leviste.

I looked at his surroundings and found a tons of women and men around him. They're having a good conversation and they even laughed together, I felt a loud thud in my chest and I immediately check it.

What the hell?

I looked at their direction and a pair of grey almond eyes, she looked shocked. Her eyes even grow wider as her lips slowly parted. She looked familiar but I can't remember where, I looked at the woman beside her when she gripped it's shirt and pointed me.

Who are they? Bakit parang naiiyak ako?

I erased the thought and started to walk away. Nagkagulo sila kaya mas binilisan ko ang paglalakad ngunit nahawakan ako ng isang kamay. I looked up and saw Leviste.

My forehead knotted and pulled my arm from him. Malapit kami sa dalampasigan at medyo malayo na ang bar, I even saw his friends, or if they are walking towards our direction.

"What do you need?" I asked firmly.

He swallowed hard and just stare at me for a seconds, I got irritated the way he look so I snapped.

"What do you need, asshole? If you're not going to talk to me, then I'm leaving."

He looked shocked but then he spoke. "I-i want to t-talk to you,"

I crossed my arms together, I looked back at him and stared at his eyes. I even the intensity of it but he looked away after a minute.

"What is it?"

He looked at his back and saw his friends looking at me weirdly. "Do you know them?" he asked.

I shot a brow and smirked. "Do I looked like I knew them?" I said and chuckled sarcastically.

Their eyes widened because of my behaviour, they all looked at each other and I saw how their eyes filled with disappointment, guilt, and other emotions.

"I-i see,"

I sighed and shook my head. "Kinausap mo ako para lang dito? Nice, you wasted my time."

I turned my back but then someone stopped me. I looked at the woman who called me and shot a brow. "What?"

She looked intimidating but I'm not intimidate, she seemed to be the most serious one in their group but then I don't fucking care.

"What's your name?"

I was stunned, nagdadalawang isip pa ako kung sasabihin ko ba sa kanila ang tunay kong pangalan. What if they're with Caion?

Especially Levi, I heard his voice in that video. I can't be wrong, it's him. I looked at the woman and spoke.

"I'm Angel, that's my name."

They gasp but I couldn't care less, I remained impassive the whole time. The woman nodded and looked at me apologetically.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you, you can go now."

I didn't say a word and left them, but before I went too far I heard her say a word.

"It's her."

Hindi ko 'yon pinansin at dumeretso na lamang sa kwarto na kinauupahan ko. I took a shower first before laying my body on the bed and shut my eyes.

I recalled the conversation earlier, anong ibig niyang sabihin na ako iyon? Who's that?

I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. Are they part of my past? My mouth parted but I still can't take the thought away.

Sa tindi nang pag-iisip ko ay natagalan ako sa pagtulog, I woke up earlier than I imagined. Nauna pa ako sa alarm clock ko dahil hindi talaga ako makatulog kanina pa. I slept for a while but I still wakes up in the middle of the night.

I took a shower and take the equipment that I need before going out of the room. Pumunta ako malapit sa building kung saan gaganapin ang party, that building is one of the hotel. Iba iba kasi ang hotel na tinayo, iba iba ding lokasyon.

It's still dark so I can move freely. I took a lot of trees and grasses and put it to the side of a blocks that was huddled near the building. I assigned Kin on the top of the building while Lian was on the other big building near the target building.

I observe the surrounding as I ready our hideout, baka nag-aayos na din ang mga kalaban sa paglusob.

Right after I was done, the sun came out. Umalis ako sa lugar at saka bumalik sa kwarto ko, I washed again and went out for my breakfast. Everyone is busy, they're doing the design for the party.

When I reach the table of my crew, Kin was nowhere to be found. Myra looked at me and winced. "She's moving already, nasa roof top na 'yon ng building panigurado."

I nodded and let Kin do what she needed to do, she's smart and she have her own tactics to assassinate her opponents.

After eating, I went back to my room again and sleep. I haven't had a good sleep last night so I'll take this as my rest.

Fourteen hundredths sharp, I woke up and wore my suit. Hindi na bago sa 'kin ang mga 'yun dahil nasanay na ako. Dala ang baril na hawak ko, lumabas ako sa kwarto at dumeretso sa puwesto kung saan kami titira.

With my brown suit, I lay down my stomach on the ground and snipe the building but I didn't pull the trigger. Aya was beside me holding a telescope.

"Aren't we early?" Aya asked as she adjust her telescope.

"Early is better than late."

She chuckled. "I really can't understand your perspective in life."

"You don't need to know, just focus on your life and live freely."

She chuckled again and shook her head while I adjust my magnum sniper.

"Masyado talaga tayong maaga, si Ynah ba nasaan?"

I also notice it, we're too early. It's still 2 pm in the afternoon and the sun is hurting my skin, though, just like what i've said it's better than late. It's also the best time to ready everything. We can observe the hotel and even the hall near it, we can observe every move they'll make.

We can't tell what and how'd the enemy for their job, it's better than be late.

"Ynah will enter the party later, she will be our spy inside just in case they would love from the inside."

"You really think very well than I imagined, how to be you?"

I smirked and spoke. "Be yourself, it's the best way to be a better person."

She didn't spoke after that. After hours of observing and sniping the building, the sky started to get dark.

There's a lot of visitors, some are guests of the hotel that I notice since the other day and some are new faces. The hotel closed when all the visitors entered, some were late but there's an assigned bouncers to look for them.

It's past 8 when we heard Kin on the other line.

[Movement from your 3o'clock.] I heard Kim's voice in our walkie-talkie.

Aya moved her head to the direction. She adjusted her telescope and spoke.

"Single soldier, Cap. I'm not expecting this," she stopped. I also don't expect this, I thought they'll move like a team or what. "He's running to the back of the hotel, range 600 meter from your 3o'clock."

I pointed my snipe to my 3o'clock direction and watched him, what's he doing?

He run to the back of the hotel but I can clearly seen what he's been up to.

"Myra, where are you?"

I locate the target and focused my sniper on him. "Good, I want you to clean every body I'll shoot."

[Copy that, Cap.]

I pulled the trigger and the man got shot, I literally saw Myra on her suit pulling the body.

[Another one, 5o'clock from your location.] Lian said.

Aya moved again and checked it. "I can't see him."

I move my sniper and locate the target. "I can't see him, also. It's hard to shoot him, there's a bouncer near him. They surely see him if I'll move."

[I'll take care of it.] Lian said and last thing I know, Myra was already pulling the body.

We've been sniping and cleaning the bodies of our enemy but we still don't know why they're still sending their mens despite of the loss.

[Captain! 6o'clock from your location!]

I hastily moved my sniper and locate the target, I looked at it and the scene shocked me. They're dragging a man! And I was sure it was Dion!

"Shit! Son of a bitch."

I moved my magnum again and saw a yatch on the dock 800 meters away from us. I shut my eyes irritatingly and cursed.

They still manage to escape that!?

[Cap, what should we do?]

I removed my eyes on the telescope and looked at Aya, she's looking at me. I think tenaciously, I can't be careless. I need to think wisely, we won't be able to save that Dion if I'll think hastily.

I shut my eyes tightly and thought about the plan.

If we'll move, I'm sure they're ready. We've been eyeing and shooting their men for hours now, I know they already knew about it. The question is, did they know where we're located?

Because of the thought, I immediately spoke.

"Search the area, they might targeting us!"

[Copy!] They all said in unison.

I roamed my magnum around.

"Cap! 12o'clock, men in black suit. A sniper, he's targeting Lian!" Aya exclaimed.

I shifted my magnum and looked at it, I saw him targeting Lian but before he pull the trigger, I pulled mine first.

[Holy mother of fuck!] I heard Myra groaned.

I panicked. "What happened?" Aya asked.

"Myra? Myra? Myra, can you copy!? Fucking talk, Agent Myra!" I called her name numerous times but no response.

I cursed as my blood boil, what are they planning!?

"Cap," I looked at Aya but she just looked at me worriedly.

Tangina, it's a trap!

I lowered my body and crawl to the nearest tree. "Hid yourselves! Observe the surrounding! They're targeting us, protect yourself!"

My head heated, why can't I think about this sooner!? I should've thought about it at the very start! I've been focusing at the owner's safety that I've been carelessly forgetting about our safety! What a fucking move, Aizhalie Zhail!

[Cap! Fuck!]

"What happened Lina!? Where are you!?"

I heard her pants on the other line, I got worried. This ain't happening!

"Lian!"

"Mother of fuck!" I hissed irritatingly and almost pulled the trigger when I didn't heard Lian's voice again. I can feel my veins almost getting our of my skin because of too much force when I gripped my magnum.

I want to take a revenge.

"Cap," Aya called me.

She's ten meters away from me but I just lowered my head even more when I heard Kin grunted in pain. I'm so useless.

I gripped my magnum tightly and locate Kin. My eyes sting when I saw a couple of men dragging her unconscious body. I almost shout in enrage.

"Cap," Aya called me again in trembling voice.

I froze as I felt my face getting paler and paler. I felt weak all of the sudden, all of my strength vanish.

I felt the tip of the gun on my head, I squeeze my eyes shut and moved my head slowly. I shivered when Caion's eyes welcomed me, he's smirking as he looked down at me.

I looked at Aya and saw her crying as Wave hold her hair while pointing his gun on her head. I swallowed hard and looked back at Caion.

"I finally found you,"
