"Anisa? Wake up already sweetie!"

Shella continued to nudge the little fluff ball. "Not yet mum, five more minutes..."
"If I leave you here then you'll miss the morning howl~" sang the childish Lycanroc, teasing her daughter. Anisa loves the morning howls, well, howls in general. The little, rowdy Rockruff has sometimes been caught howling as the sun starts to set, making many members of the pack think highly suspicious of her.

The pup sprung up from her comfertable hey bed, running straight out of the cave exit. "Wanna race mum?!" Anisa shouted.
"You're on!" Shella ran after her daughter, catching up to her instantly due to her being a full grown Lycanroc were her daughter was just a pup.

"No fair! You're older than me!" Anisa shouted while also giggling from the fun.

"I win!" Shella had a small smirk on her face, giggling a bit from witnessing Anisa huffing and puffing from exhaustion. "I....I'll win...next time." She managed to puff out.

"It's about time you two."

"Oh shut your jaw Dash." Shella glared at the male, not wanting to be anywhere near the egotistical Lycanroc.
"Your lucky we're in public." He growled a bit, not wanting to show too much aggression in front on Anisa due to her young age. "Where have you been anyway and how did you get that scar Dash?" Anisa cut in. She hated it when the two get into a heated argument, her mother has told her sometimes that soon everything will be alright and he'll come soon. Shella's words has always confused the same pup, leaving her thinking on what her mother means by 'he'll come soon'.

(Who is 'he'? What does 'he' have to do with me and my mother?)

"I was....exploring little one, this scar however..." Dash trailed off, gently tracing his left claw over the bolt like scar. "This was from one of those hideous night dwellers!"

"Dash..." Shella growled. "Not around Anisa..."

"Shut it Shella, she'll have to learn one....so she doesn't make your mistake..." The frustration radiated off Shella, hearing that come out of his own mouth.

"What does he mean mum?" Anisa asked. "Nothing sweetie, now let's go meet up with your grandfather."

*Time Skip*

"Grandpa!" Anisa shouted, getting the alpha and the rest of the pack to glance in her direction before she pounced on the strong yet old alpha. "Ah! Anisa what did we say about how we greet others?!"
"I'm sorry..." The pup slid off his back. "Shella, Dash was already here before you made it, why's that?" Being the alpha's daughter always had it's flaws, needing to always be on time and set a good example for the rest of the pack.

Shella got most of her happy, cheery and childish personality from Anisa's grandmother, or Shella's mother. Yet from her cheerful personality, she was the smartest out of all the pack, many go to her for advise for pretty much everything.

"Me and Anisa were just caught up in something father, it won't happen again." He nodded in understanding. "Very well."

Turning towards the pack, he let his pride show, his face showing what a true alpha is, his age not mattering.

"It's our time now! We must let out our morning howl to warn those dreadful night dwellers that's it's now our time! Not theirs!" Shouts and cries came for all the pack members, including Dash and he stood tall. A howl was let off from the mighty alpha, signalling the others.

"Come! Alpha Bodolf has started the howl!" Dash roared. Others started to join the parade of howls that echoed across their territory. Even the small villages pass their territory could hear the charge of the howls. Anisa started to join in, along with her mother.

Her howl wasn't as strong as the other Rockruff and Lycanroc yet she continues to try everyday to become stronger for both her, her mother and the rest of the pack.

"They have heard our cry! They are now retreating back into their horried land!" Cheers erupted, even though this happens everyday, they all felt great pride in their howls and to show who's boss.

The small crowd of wolves started to depart, going back to what they were doing before the morning howl, chatting as they went. "Shella, I must speak with you. Dash, take Anisa back to her cave so she can get ready for hunt training."
"Yes sir!" Dash grabbed Anisa's neck fur with his sharp fangs, throwing her up onto his back.

"See you later mum! I love you!" The cheery pup cried, waving her tiny paw at her mother in goodbye. "I love you too sweetie!" Shella cried back, showing just as much enthusiasm.

Once left, Shella faced her father, Alpha Boldolf.

"I'm sure you know what we must discus." He mumbled. "It's about Anisa's place...isn't it?"

"Yes, as you know, we've caught her on many occasions howling during dusk. If this is a sign she might evolve into a Midnight Lycanroc then I'll have no choice but to kick her out of the pack."

Shella glanced up at him, the look of terror hung over her face like a glove. "But she's your granddaughter-"
"That doesn't change anything, as alpha, I must do what's right for the pack...unlike what you did those years ago." The she-wolf backed away, not believing what she was hearing from her own father.

"I will also have a word with your mother as well, remember, make sure she evolves properly. If not...you'll know what'll happen to that young girl..." With that, he left. Leaving Shella alone with her thoughts.

How could he do such a thing?! Her choosing is coming up too fast, Anisa deserves better than this, if only her father was here...he would know what to do...
