masaomi asked if I wanted to meet his childhood friend, since he was going to meet up with him at the station, I didn't have work today, and  Celty and shinra were both working, plus I didn't have anything else to do so I agreed, currently we were both sitting on a bench watching trains go by, but still no sign of him " so your friends starting school at raira academy too?" I asked, which he nodded with his goofy smile " yeah, he's just moving in to ikkubukuro" he then turned and was staring at a young gentlemen with black hair, wearing a greenish blue and white jacket and jeans " that's him" he got up and snuck up to him, while he was pondering to himself " mikado!" He snapped him out of his thoughts " urr, how'd you?" He looked confused still he got a better look at him" masaomi?" He asks " was that a question? Sounded like one, so now you get three answers to choose from, one! masaomi kida! " the said, lifting one finger " two!" Then lifted another making two" masaomi kida! Three!" He then raised one more making the final three "masaomi kida!" The guy masaomi called mikado looked extremely happy " masaomi! No way! Is it really you?" Masaomi just sighed " I spent three years coming up that one and he totally ignores it" he said sadly, then smiled and playfully punched his chest " I missed you man!" They both laughed " I can't believe you dyed your hair it looks cool, you look so different I didn't recognise! Your jokes still suck" mikado grinned " what do you expect it's been four years, and look at you, you haven't changed, you look the same as you did in elementary school" then playfully patted his head " and buddy, my jokes don't suck, they rule"

I just snickered which caught their attention " oh! Right! Before I forget this lovely young lady here is hiyori isana, my future girlfriend!" He grinned whispering the last part " I heard you masaomi, and in your dreams!" I smirked " well Can't a guy dream?" He shrugged

Mikado pov

My eyes widened when I saw the girl masaomi introduced' shes...so beautiful...' I lent my hand out to shake hers, but I couldn't stop mine from shaking " n-nice to m-meet you" I stuttered, which only increased my heart beat when she smiled and said " nice to meet you to, massomi said you were also going to raira academy too" she said " really, does that mean your going to?" I asked hopefully which she nodded ' I can't wait to get to know her more!'

Back to Hiyori

" alright not that we've got you both acquainted, come on' let's go, get out from underground" masaomi grinned, turned his back walking and said " I feel like going west today my friends, but instead of taking the west exit, we're taking the south" I just rolled my eyes at his joke and continued to follow along with mikado" so what do you want to do is there anything you want to check out?" I asked " How about sunshine 60?" Mikado suggested " what right right now? man that's why you take a girlfriend not your best friend" masaomi chuckled, I then saw him looking at me out of the corner of my eye " don't even think about it masaomi" I smirked " come on!" I just laughed "Oh...what about ikkubukuro West gate park?" Mikado asked " dude, call it nishigochi park"

" oh, I just thought that's what ikkubukurians called it that" I just started laughing all over again " seriously, what's a ikkubukurian?" Masaomi chuckled " wait. You really wanna go?" He the asked surprised " well I...I just, hey!" He the grabbed mikado and ran for the escalator " hey! Wait for me!" I yelled as I caught up with them " hey it's cool! I don't wanna go! I mean it's dark now! And how we could get killed by a colour again! " mikado exclaimed "Oh come on man! You've got to be kidding me " masaomi pulled out his phone to check the time" look it's only like six you wooz I guess some things never change hah? " he said while looking up at the exit, while a speaker went off " welcome to ikkubukuro"

" oh! A world that I've only seen in manga is right here in front of me it's cooler then kamisakuramachi-Ginza" mikado exclaimed in awe " then I guess we need to take you to shibuya sometime! But if you're looking for crowds the horse trucks probably better, there aren't too many colour gangs anymore, bunch of flashy ones were hanging around last year, but they clashed with the gangs in saitama, most of them got busted, ever since then you don't see people wearing coloured clothes anymore, I guess everyone knows if they do that the cops will be after them in a sec" masaomi explained " does that mean ikkubukuro's is a safe city now?" Mikado asked " heck no" I frowned " yeah right, I mean I'm no expert on anything but I wouldn't really consider this Place safe, there's worse things here than gangs you know be careful" masaomi warned

" oh I see" we then made it to 60 story street " Anyway this is 60s story street and there is another road sunshine Street" masaomi Said as we walked, just then mikado bumped into a cardboard cutout which he mistook for a person " sorry! I wasn't paying attention!", from behind the cardboard cutout, two familiar faces popped out from behind, Erika and walker

" oh hey masaomi, hiyori" Erika greeted first "Oh hey Erica Walker what's new" masaomi greeted " hey guys it's been awhile" walker smiled "yo!" The three of us turned to see kyohei leaning against the van with saburo, who was sitting in the open doorway " masaomi, Hiyori, what's up?" Kyohei smiled " hey kyohei" I greeted " who's this guy your with, he a friend of yours" Erika asked, noticing mikado " yeah me and him go way way back, he just moved here to ikkubukuro today" masaomi explained "Oh cool"

" this young lady is Erica " masaomi said, pointing at her, this is substandard Guys Walker" then pointed at Walker " over there is kyohei and saburo"then finished with kyohei and saburo " sorry, my names mikado ryyugamine" mikado introduces himself, only to have walker looking at him in wonder " maybe it's a pen name?" He suggested " oh I'll come on, why would a kid in high school have a pen name, wait he could have a radio show or a blog" Erika said with I snickered ' they don't get it!' " actually that is my real name" mikado said,

" no wait that's your name!" Erika exclaimed " Holy crap you've got the coolest name ever it sounds like it's right out of a manga" Walker clapped his hands " stop it! your embarrassing me!" I just shook my head at masaomi's silliness " your Gotta go shopping?" I asked "Yep" Erika nodded

" The new dengeki bunko series hit today and we grabbed 30 copies before anyone knew what hit them" Walker said patting his backpack " dengeki bunko Puts up 30 books a month?" Mikado asks "No it's not like that at all" Erika waved her hand "the two of us get a copy of the latest series and the other 10 well that's for other reasons" she said " yeah other reasons"both Erika and walker giggled

"Like what? like one copy to keep one for work one to loan out friends?" Mikado asked, whispering in my ear " You don't wanna question you don't want an answer to" I said, shaking my head "Well guess we better be going now" Erika said, before picking up the picking up one half of the cutout, she whispered in my ear " Hiyori we stull need to have another girls night soon" I just nodded " yeah sure thing" I smiled

" yeah, you guys later" Walker waves goodbye, then helped Erika carry the other half "Right on, peace out" masaomi bid goodbye, I heard a loud thud, those two probably accidentally hit saburo's car " hey! your messing up my car man!" Knew it " sorry!" I snickered, when I heard them apologised

"I know, I know, they're kind of weird but if you're cool with them they're cool with you" masaomi said " there not weird at all" I playfully smacked his arm, while he grinned " woah I don't know you hang out with such interesting people" mikado said in awe" I got my hands in all call kinds of stuff around here okay I know where all the cool shops are-" while masaomi explained, I suddenly heard mikado's thoughts' I wonder what kind of stuff he's done in the past four years when I was at home doing nothing?' He thought

' no powers! Don't read his mind!' I mentally scolded " I mean knowing one all the cool stuff is makes it easier to pick up the ladies! like that one!" He said as a girl our age walked past, thats the target izaya had been sending messages to

' what a perv' mikado thought unimpressed  ' darn it powers, but either way, I can't agree more' I thought, i pulled out my phone so I could text izaya

Hiyori: I've seen her, she's on her way

Izaya: thank you my darling~I'll leave leave it to Celty now, please let her know to, bye!

Hiyori: bye...

I frowned, I still don't like how he does things, i then rolled up to Celty's name and sent a text

Hiyori: hey, she's on her way

Celty: thanks, did you tell izaya?

Hiyori: who do you think told me to let you know, calling me the occasional darling, by the way are you sure you don't need my help?😑

Celty: it's fine, enjoy your break 😉 and if you want, I can give me a slight whack across the head for flirting with you 🤣 bye!

I smiled" it's weird isn't it?" I was brought back to the sound of masaomi's voice, just then the two saw a familiar tall dark skinned man, passing out flyers" hi Simon!" Hiyori shouted out " yo Simon!" Followed by masaomi "Kida, hiyori want sushi is good sushi very good" Simon smiled " I'm not hungry today, but maybe next time" I politely turned down the offer " no man not today i'm broke need a job and some cash in and I'll definitely come,unless it's free today" masaomi grinned cheekily " no way Hosay!" Simon shook his head seriously "if I give free, I sent today in seaweed in Russian tundra!" He exclaimed " Simon! There's no seaweed in the tundra, bye!" I laughed, bidding my coworker goodbye " later!" Masaomi waved " okay, Long time no see!" Simon waved before going back to handing out flyers " you to know that guy?" Mikado asked me " that was Simon he's from Russia and he's pretty cool, he's also my coworker, we both work at Russian sushi, he hanging out flyers and stuff" I explained

" hold up! you didn't tell me you worked at Russian sushi!" Masaomi whined " cause I just got the job about a few days ago, and you never asked" I grinned cheekily " sorry but I'm not getting the joke" mikado said

" Neither of us are joking, seriously his name is supposed to pronounce Simeon but people call him Simon because it's easier I heard his parents fled from America to Russia, or something like that, anyway is Russian friend of his decided to open a sushi place and give him a gig and don't piss him off, for reals I saw him break up a fight once, the guy was bigger than him, and dude, he picked him up with one hand, you know there's also a few others you should really avoid pissing off" just then what looked like a vending machine, was thrown into the air, not to far away, just down the street " speak of the devil" I said, crossing my arms " what was...what's going on" mikado asked surprised ' shizuo...what's with you...' I shook my head "Well that's what I'm saying sweet" of course masaomi found it cool "hey whatever you do stay away from shizuo hewajima, As long as you keep your nose clean around here, you'll never have a problem with him" he said, continuing our walk

' what kind of person is he?' Mikado wondered in thought ' don't question it...' I deadpanned, we continued our walk, I heard a ping on my phone, my luck, it was izaya

Izaya: hello darling~

Hiyori: is there something you need?

Izaya: straight to the point as always, if possible, someone is about to kill another person by making a large sign fall on them, can you make sure nothing happens, it's not far from your location, just by the highway

Hiyori: fine...and stop watching me.. it's creepy...

Izaya: thank you my darling~ and what about that response I send yesterday?

Hiyori: hard pass.

I stared which a cold expression " so are there any other people I should be staying away from?" Mikado asked, which brought me back into the conversation " You definitely wanna avoid all the accuser and all the gangs, and there is this izaya ohihara guy" masaomi said " izaya ohihara? That's a weird name" I mentally facepalmed, why did he have to mention that guy... " Yeah look who's talking he's a ton of bad news to stay away from him to but he mostly hangs around... so I doubt you'll ever see him anyway oh yeah avoid the dollars if all possible" masaomi finally mentioned that group name I wondered so much about " the dollars?" Mikado questioned " you know, dolars of big dollars" masaomi explained poorly " you're not explaining any better masaomi" I snickered " Big dollars what is that?" Mikado asked again " I don't know much about them, all I know is that there is a lot of them, I also know that they kind of crazy, I would just stay away from them, if I was you, their sort of like the color gang, but nobody knows what color they are what's the point? I mean I don't even think gangs can get together anymore, for everyone know they might have all broken up by now" masaomi finished " wow really?" just then mikado bumped into a girl who also collapsed to the ground " mikado!" i bent down to help him while masaomi helped the girl " just tell me how I can help~"

" dude seriously!" I exclaimed " hey you okay?" Masaomi asked her, I help mikado and he went up to her " I'm so sorry I didn't see you! Are you hurt?" " hey miss?" I looked towards her neck and noticed she had a scar around it, that's when my eyes widened, and so did hers " no! No!" She wriggled out of masaomi's arms, immediately running in a panic "No!" She screamed as she ran away, people watching in confusion

" so that happened, what's that chicks problem?" Masaomi wondered " I wonder what happened to her, that was so odd" mikado states " lots of bad things happen in this city, so you can never know" I said

" Who knows in this town anything can happen and it usually does man your lucky, in just a day you met Hiyori, kyohei, Simon and a few others, you saw some dude and a vending machine get tossed by shizuo, and you bumped into a cute chick" masaomi listed "Think so? I'm not feeling so lucky right now" mikado said rubbing his head " you know, life is good, dude we get to go to the same school and hang out again, I think all that's really awesome don't  you?" Masaomi asked smiling, which mikado returned " yeah I do too" he nodded, just then we, or atleast me and masaomi heard a familiar horse wailing sound " like I said you're so lucky!  just gonna come on! don't you wanna see an urban legend!" Masaomi started running down the streer, me and mikado running after him

" what's the urban legend anyway!?" Mikado shouted out "The black bike! The headless rider!" Masaomi yelled, we made it to the road, just watching in excitement as Celty drove by in shooter, who howled in motorcycle form, and drove off, till they were out of sight " woah, that was awesome, I just wish we saw the white fox!" Masaomi sighed, disappointed slightly " the white fox?" Mikado questioned

" the Superhuman, whoever they are, they recently appeared in ikkubukuro a few weeks ago, even with their white and red fox mask

A man screamed, pointing towards a large sign, a man stood underneath, completely paralysed, just the a gold arua surrounded it, making it float lightly, then moving towards a wall, the man just sighed in relief, collapsing onto his knees " woah! It glowed! Their here somewhere!" Masaomi exclaimed in excitement, looking around, I quickly deactivated my powers

Just then I got a text, it was from Celty

Celty: sorry! But I could use a hand! I smirked

Hiyori: knew it 😏 I'm on my way

" sorry guys, as much as I would love to stay, I'm needed elsewhere" I smiled sadly " don't sweat it, we'll catch up later" masaomi smiles " alright, I'm off, later! Nice meeting you mikado!" I waved before anyone could say anything I booking it, I quickly, ran into a area that was completely abandoned, not one single person, quickly sliding on my hoodie, replacing my scarf on my black leggings, and placed my mask on, then made myself float onto one of the roof tops

I kept jumping from rooftop to rooftop till I finally saw Celty, lying on the ground, with her helmet off, next to a familiar van, I recognised it easily, the same one that chased after me when I tried to get home, I just floated towards it, the big one stepped out, and walked over to celty's body, when he noticed her with out a head, he freaked out, she then started to move, he screamed and was about to run away, but once he turned, I punched him right in the face, knocking him out

I then turned my attention to Celty, who was just getting up " hey, looking for this?" I asked, levitating her helmet into her hands, she pulled out her pda and typed " Hiyori! I'm so sorry, it was your break and-" I placed a hand over her pda, then smiled and said " it's okay, besides I already saved a guy earlier, a certain someone already had me on a job during my break" my eye twitched " I'm sorry, let's help the girl in the trunk"

I opened it up with my powers, turns out she was a wake, Celty unwrapped the duck tape round her arms and legs " you okay?" I asked, when she saw me, her eyes widened in shock " y-yeah" was all she said " we've been asked to take you to a certain place"

Time skip

Celty and the girl drove to the location on shooter, while I just floated above them in the sky, just so I wouldn't bring to much attention to them, once we arrived to the so called location, Celty said something to her while I leaned against a wall " yes I understand" she said, then walked inside, I then proceeded to walk into the ally next to the building where I knew something was going to happen

From below I could here the conversation between both the girl and izaya, and of course I hated every word I heard, I hid in the shadows when they both leaned over to look down at the ground, apparently the area we were in was where loads of people committed suicide, I wish I was that girl when she tired to slap him, at one point I too wanted to punch izaya for holding her arm while she leaned never the edge when she tried to slap him, as soon as the conversation was over, I looked up at the girl, who then leaned over and fell, before she hit the ground I levitated her, much to her surprise, her show had even fallen off, I gently levitated her down till she was safely down, she looked up at me and I offered her a hand, which she took, before I walked away she said " wait!" I turned back " tell me why" I turned my head, but before I left I said " everybody's got their own little secrets, but let me say this" I turned back, smiling slightly " The world isn't as bad as you think it is, get home safe" I then walked away, back to Celty " what are you a therapist?" She joked, which I snickered jumping onto the back " still, that was a good choice of words" she said" let's go" she then rode off

Along the way, we ran into mr king of corruption himself " Hiyori, can you float the rest of the way home? I need to talk to a certain someone" she said, which I nodded, I knew someone was in teouble, and I don't mean Celty " yeah sure" I then used my telekinesis and started floated " see ya at home!" I shouted, then flew off, it took some time but I finally made it, I saw a certain doctor in the kitchen, so I thought of a mischievous idea, knocked on the balcony door, which caught his attention, he then waltz over to the door and opened it " hello?" He walked out, looking over the side " Celty? Hiyori?" I then whispered " surprise" which he yelped " Hiyori! Don't do that to me!" He exclaimed which I laughed " sorry! I couldn't resist" I smirked, floating back down, then walking in, just then I felt arms wrap around myself "did you miss me?" He asked with his grin " yeah, sure, are you gonna let me go?" I asked chuckling " nooooo, I like this" he whined, he then turn me round fast, facing him, which his Pervy grin still on his face" besides it just the two of us~" I immediately pinched his cheeks, making him yell again " pervert" I muttered, rolling my eyes, , Celty had taught me what to do in the case, which I was thankful for, I turning away and walking into my room

'Man my life is crazy' a smile then formed on my face as I looked out at the city from my window 'but then again I didn't say it was boring'

" Hiyori! Celtys home!" I heard shinra yell out to me, which I shook my head in amusement " coming!"  I then stared  at my perfectly hung up uniform, it was almost time for me to start my first day at raira academy and I was excited

' I bet things are going to be more exciting'
