"I dare you." You grinned, looking at Tommy's widening eyes as you dared him to kiss you.

"W-what? Y/N, why?" Tommy groaned, but he couldn't hide the small blush creeping onto his cheeks. The boy throws his head back, sighing.

You laugh. "Becauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse." You said, trying to hide the fact that you only wanted him to kiss you because you'd loved him half of your life.

Not that he ever noticed.

"But.." Tommy tries to think of reasons to not kiss you. "No, I just.." But he seems to find none.

The truth was that Tommy had a huge crush on you, and he was afraid that if he were to kiss you, you'd stop talking to him. There was no way you felt the same, and to kiss you would be to end the friendship. But he couldn't tell you this. It would ruin him, you didn't feel the same.

But you were breaking inside. Had you gone too far to suggest that Tommy kiss you? Did he really just not want to?

"Look, if you don't want to, Tom, it's fine.." you begin, biting your lip nervously. "You don't have to." It takes Tommy no more than a mere second to realize that you were slightly hurt by the thought of him feeling differently, and the boy instantly feels like shit.

"No, no, no, Y/N, it's not that I don't want to, it's just.." he stops as he looks up at you and your eyes meet. "I didn't think you wanted to."

You're left in shock, knowing that to kiss this boy is all you've ever wanted. And to know that now he wanted it, too.

"I don't know why you'd want to, I mean, look at you, and then look at me. I'm so stupid for thinking you'd like me, I'm sorry I know that this is all just a joke and I understand if you don't want to be my friend anymore-"

"Tommy." You say, making him stop his rambling. "I don't want to be your friend anymore." You say, his face instantly breaking as he tries to cover it up. Before he can get the wrong idea, you smash your lips onto his.

Confusion turns into understanding and Tommy rests his hand on your lower back and kisses you as well, smiling into it. "I don't want to be your friend anymore, either." He says once you break away. You both smile.

"Go on a date with me." You then say, taking him by pleasant surprise. "I dare you."

I thought this would be a cute idea, it seemed only fitting to update this book because I'm going to do a Steve imagine in my Stranger Things book and will be online anyways.
