The party sat around their campsite as they all continued to inspect the dragonborn hatchling as he was inspecting many things  around himself.
"So we accidently hatched a baby dragon?".
Devarius asked, confused.
"He's a dragonborn, not just a dragon. "
Alisa corrected the young paladin
" Yes, a dragonborn, but I thought dragonborn's live on the other side of the world and even then, they don't fall out of the sky. "
Devarius said as he picked up the hatchling before he ate a rock.
" Mama Mama! "
The dragonborn whined  as he pointed to the rock he was fiddling with earlier .
"No, you were gonna eat it."
Devarius said to the hatchling as he held him by his tail to prevent him from crawling over to the rock.
"Don't be mean to the little guy Devarius, he's not gonna eat a rock."
Arthur said as he gave the hatchling the rock he was playing with.
The dragonborn squealed happily as he got the rock and started to inspect it happily.
"See he just wants a toy."
Arthur said proudly before a loud crunch was heard.
The group turned around to see the hatchling munching on the rock and ingested it with a loud gulp.
"H he ate a rock."
Arthur said in surprise.
The Hatchling grabbed another rock and started eating it.
" Is that good for him? "
Alisa asked.
" Well he's eating it so maybe. "
Xepug answered.
" Maybe he is hungry, we should probably get him some meat instead. "
Arthur suggested.
"We ate it all earlier, remember, we'd have to wait until we get into town. "
Alisa explained to Arthur.
While the party was explaining their predicament the Hatchling started sniffing the air, something smelled good to him as he started crawling his way over to Xepug's bag and started rifling through it.
"Hey get outta there!"
Xepug pulled the hatchling out of his bag to see the dragonborn chewing on what appeared to be jerky.
"My caribou jerky, why you little..."
Xepug shouted at the dragonborn but he looked into the eyes of the hatchling and sighed he couldn't be mad at him.
"Whatever it wasn't that good anyways. "
The Orc sighed.
" Good on ya Xepug, I'll buy you some more when we get back in town. "
Alisa assured the orc boy.
" You being nice ta me elf "
Xepug raised a curious brow.
Alisa blushed a little.
" Don't get used to it. "
The elven rouge said as she looked away.
" Speaking of town we should probably rest up, we'll be heading back to town at first light."
Devarius announced to the group.
"Agreed, I'll take watch for a while while you all rest."
Alisa said as she stretched her limbs.
" I'll also look after the kid too. "
She assured her other party members, the others agreed and soon the boys all fell asleep with the exception of herself and the hatchling.
Alisa sat by the fire which was slowly growing dim.
" Tch, we need more kindling before the flame goes out. "
Alisa looked down to the hatchling nestled right next to her.
" Can't have you going cold little one."
Alisa said as she was prepared to get up and find firewood but before she could get up the dragonborn hatchling had stood to his feet and started walking shakely at first as he stumbled around for a bit.
Alisa quietly started clapping.
"I guess you're just like lizard folk babies they start walking shortly after hatching"
Alisa said as she watched the hatchling stumble around until he suddenly stopped as an orange tint started glowing from his belly to his throat.
" What the? "
Alisa looked upon the hatchling curiously as the dragonborn spit up magma onto the campfire sparking the flame back to life.
" Mama mama! "
The hatchling pointed to the campfire hoping for praise for what he did.
" Thanks kid, you saved me a trip . "
Alisa said as she rubbed the top of of the Hatchling's head, taking care to avoid his developing horns
The dragonborn cuddled up to Alisa and soon only soft snores were heard from him.
"You are quite adorable aren't you."
Alisa smiled as she caressed the hatchling .
Hours later the sun started rising and the party were all preparing to make their return to the town.
"Everyone got all their belongings?"
Devarius asked the group
Everyone nodded and Devarius turned to the hatchling.
"We can't have you stark naked kid."
Devarius removed his old cape and tore it in half wrapping half of it around the waist of the hatchling and the other half he shaped into a sling which he wrapped around Xepug.
"Hey why I gotta carry the mok!"
The orc protested.
"You're bigger plus you and Arthur didn't do watch last night, don't worry though we'll switch every hour. "
Devarius explained.
" Hmph, fine. "
Xepug sighed in annoyance.
" Don't feel bad besides the little guy is a joy to be around. "
Arthur assured the orc.
" Hmph."
Xepug turned away as he started walking.
" Alright enough blathering let's go.
Xepug said.
The party started walking off.
The group of adventurers made their way out of the forest and into some plains and the Hatchling looked around the area in amazement at the wildlife roaming the area .
"Mama mama!"
The hatchling tugged on one of Xepug's tusk like teeth as he pointed to a deer.
" It's a deer mok, they're everywhere in this place."
Xepug explained.
" Dee? "
The hatchling said to Xepug.
"Yeah a deer that's right Mok."
The Orc briefly smiled
" You know what guys we should give the little guy a name. "
Arthur suggested.
"Yeah, constantly calling him kid is a bit exhausting. "
Alisa chided in.
" Hmmm I got nothing, any of you got suggestions? "
Devarius turned to his party members.
"Let's call him Melian, that's the name of my favorite storybook character."
Alisa suggested.
"Nah the Mok needs a powerful name like Agronak the Conqueror!"
Xepug exclaimed.
" He looks like a Daniel, no a Edward, no wait a Liam! "
Arthur continued to spat out names. Devarius looked at the Hatchling.
" You're kind of like me, I'm what people call a nightskin or colored person. Maybe I should give you a name from my culture....hmm how does Tykeim sound?"
Devarius said to the hatchling
The Hatchling went wide eyed at the sound of that name.
The hatchling pointed to himself.
"Tyim Tyim!"
Tykeim pointed to himself as he tried to say his name.
"Ty-kiem."
Devarius said it slowly.
"T t ty-k k keee?"
"Yeah, close enough."
Devarius smiled.
"Mama Mama Mama!"
Tykeim reached out his hands to the other members of the party, once he got their attention he pointed to himself.
"Tykee! "
Tykeim said proudly.
"He seemed to like it."
Devarius said to his teammates.
"Works for me."
Alisa said.
"Ditto."
Arthur replied.
"Alright.... although I think Agronak would've been better. "
Xepug muttered.
After finally receiving a name the group continued their journey.
While the party continued their walk the sound of hissing was heard .
"You guys hear that?"
Alisa asked.
"Is that hissing?"
Devarius asked.
"Ah hell! He peed all over me! "
Xepug shouted as he removed the sling holding Tykeim to his chest.
Devarius snickered.
" I heard a dragon pissing on you was good luck. "
"SHUT UP AND TAKE HIM. "
Xepug shouted as he handed Tykeim to Devarius but not before the Orc stripped naked and jumped into a nearby river.
"Ah Xepug nobody needed to see that."
Devarius said as he covered his eyes.
"With little to no warning either."
Alisa said as she covered her eyes.
"Huh, so Orc's are uncircumcised. "
Arthur said.
"By the gods Arthur "
Devarius sighed.
"Quit yer belly aching, ain't like you lot never seen a guys bits before. "
Xepug said as he used a nearby river stone to scrub his body.
"Well Xepug is taking care of himself, now what are we gonna do about you Tykeim"
Devarius asked, holding the dragonborn hatchling at arms length.
"Well since it's decided we're keeping him and everything he's definitely gonna need a diaper. "
Arthur said to the group.
"Do they even make these for dragonborn babies?"
Devarius asked.
"You know reptilian people have babies too, Devarius."
Alisa said to the young paladin.
"Hey, I spent most of my years in the holy order, I don't meet many lizard folk or the like often and especially never a baby one. "
Devarius defended.
" Well whatever the case is, he needs baby stuff . "
" Small problem, we're in the middle of nowhere so what can we do now? "
Devarius asked.
" Have him go in the buff. "
Xepug said as he got out of the river
" Xepug, nobody wants to see that please put some clothes on."
Alisa covered both hers and Tykeim's eyes.
"Yeah yeah hold on."
Xepug said as he started putting on another set of clothes.
" There, you lot happy."
Xepug said now fully clothed.
"Very "
Devarius and Alisa said in unison.
" Now let's keep going, Arthur, you'll hold the kid for the time being. "
Devarius Instructed.
"On it. "
Arthur said as he happily wrapped the sling around himself with Tykeim happily attached to him.
"Now you get to spend time with fun Mama."
"Mama mama! "
Tykeim said happily.
"We gotta teach that kid our names at some point. "
Devarius said as he and the party continued walking.
After their long trek from the plains the party finally made it to town and the walked to the front of their guildhall
"Alright now let's head to the guild and hope the Guildmaster isn't too disappointed in us."
Devarius said as he opened the door to the guild.
