Nineteen.....?
"This is tiring," Scarlet commented dryly, still holding her arm out.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You need to look back at my arm every five seconds. I can't feel it anymore!"
This caused Sasha to chortle.
"It's not my fault they're hard directions!"
"You know what's hard....." commented Morgan, shooting Sasha a sideways glance.
"Ew, ew, ew, stop! I really don't wanna hear it!"
Both Morgan and Sasha blushed, stepping apart.
"How about once we reach a new turn, I could read off Scarlet's arm so she can put it down," Lexi offered.
"Sounds good to me," Korey said.
"Agreed," Abigail put in.
"Doesn't sound like a bad idea," said Scarlet, looking eager to release her arm.
"Ok. That works," I finalized.
As Scarlet gladly put her arm down, we trotted noblely ahead. (That's probably not a word.)
"Right!" Lexi called as we reached a split in the road.
"Right," I repeated, swiveling between the two paths, trying to remember which was which.
Abigail stepped to the front, standing next to me.
"Do this," she said gently, holding up her hands, which were doing the gun sign.
I did.
"Now hold them like this," she said, putting them so that they were pointing at the air and thumbs at each other.
I did.
"Which one makes an L?" She asked.
I moved the L hand.
"That's left. There, now you can always remember," she said, her voice still gentle.
Wow, she really was a genius!
"Thank you," I said almost breathlessly.
"No problem," she said.
Then we went right.
