It was a hill, once more it drove off of the flowing winds against the never existing forest that led above. The hill had gotten closer once again, it drove against the wind and came closer to where I stood. The man stood upon the hill, though he didn't look up, he was slouching and slugging downward as if he had given up.
The souls cried with sorrows and screams, there was truly no hope left for this singular scene. Though it only grew louder, their cries and screams, then the wave came and suffered and ended our dreams.
Where am I? Why am I upon a hill? Why is the grass flowing with the wind? Why is the hill so close? Who is that man? Why won't he look up at me? It all slowly started to make sense then I forgot...It's pitch black and yet it's so clear...
Morning
It was said that only Deku and I needed to go to the hospital and had the most concerning injuries. Though I think my burns were a little less than a broken bone.
The sun was bright and glazing against the buildings within my view. I walked to school with Deku and had a fun chat before we got to the classroom.
Class
"EVERYONE! HOMEROOMS ARE ABOUT TO BEGIN! EVERYONE TAKE YOUR SEATS!" Iida announced as he was standing at the front of the room.
"We're sitting you're the only one up." Responded one classmate of mine.
Suddenly the door opened and it was met with a man wrapped in bandages with only his eyes and hair out. His arm was wrapped in a caste and everywhere else stood covered by a bandage. Ouch.
"Morning."
"You're back Aizawa Sensei?!??!?!" The class asked confused.
"Glad to see you're doing well Sensei!" Iida said raising a hand and in his seat.
"If you could call that 'doing well'" Cheery Girl said.
"My welfare isn't important, your fight isn't over yet.." Aizawa started.
"Our fight?"
"Don't tell me.."
"More Villains?!??!"
"U.A's sports festival is approaching." Aizawa finished.
"That's so ordinary!" The class roared.
The tension about his few words had made the class worried with fear of going through that mess again but the sports festival was a better result, though questions awoke.
"Come on! We just had a Villain attack! And now this?" Someone asked.
"It's necessary to demonstrate that U.A's crisis management protocols are sound. That's the thinking apparently. Compared to past years there'll be five times the amount of police presence. However, the Sports Festival is the greatest opportunity you'll get."
Right.
"It's not an event that can be canceled over a few Villains"
There was a lot more than just a few.
"Our sports festival is one of Japan's biggest events! The Olympics was once the world's sports festival. The whole country would be whipped over a frenzy over them. But as you know, that tradition shrunk to a shell of its former self. And as far as Japan's concerned what's taken place of the Olympics is the U.A Sports Festival!"
"The nation's top heroes will all be watching right? They'll be there as scouts!" Asked Momo.
"Naturally you'll gain valuable experience and popularity if you're picked up by a big-name hero. But your time is limited. Show pros of what you're made of hear and you'll make a big future for yourselves." He stated. "This happens once a year so you have three chances! If you're hoping to become a hero this is an event you can't miss!"
After the class ended and it was lunchtime the class shared their excitement with this event. They all said they were going to do their best and get high scouting.
"We're all going to do our best, Right Hachiman?!" Deku asks me raising his hand in hard work.
"Right." I raise my hand too.
And Uraraka or the cheery girl said she was going to do her best to everyone one of her classmates that were around her as they questioned her sanity.
"I'M GOING TO DO MY BEST!" She said with her hand up and an intimidating face of hard work.
I then went off to lunch because I just wanted a calm and nice evening before the crash of training for the event.
After School
Uraraka opened the door to find a crowd of people waiting outside.
"What's going on!!" She asked surprised.
"No way out! What're they here for?" Questioned Mineta with worry.
"Scoping out the competition, duh small fry" Answered Katsuki, walking his way up to the doors. "Cuz we're the kids who survived a Villain attack. Makes sense they'd want to look before the Sports Festival. No point though, move aside extras."
He's still mean.
"Can we please not result in calling people we don't know 'Extras'?" Iida said with his chopping hand out.
"It's true that we came to take a look but you sure are modest. Are all the kids in the hero course like this one?" A guy with purple frizzed-up hair asked.
"Huh?"
"I got to say I'm a little disappointed if this is what you're offering. Those of us who didn't make it into the hero course are stuck in general studies or other tracks. There's quite a few of us, did you know that?" Purple hair questioned. "Depending on the results of the sports festival, they might consider putting us in the hero course. I understand the reverse is possible for you too. Checking out the competition? For general studies like me, that'll be a chance to knock you off your pedestals. Consider this a declaration of war"
By this time I had walked close enough to the door to be in the range of this conversation and to be added into it. The tension in the air grew.
"HEY I'M FROM CLASS 1-B, THE CLASS NEXT DOOR!" A student with grey hair and a yellow stricken shape around his eyes. "HEARD YOU GUYS FOUGHT AND TOOK DOWN SOME VILLAINS! I WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE FUSS WAS ABOUT BUT ALL I'M SEEING IS THE ARROGANT BASTARD!!" He shouts with anger.
And I thought Katsuki was bad at confrontations.
"YOU BETTER NOT MAKE FOOLS OF THE HERO COURSE FOR THIS THING!" he shouts once more.
This didn't stop Katsuki from shoving his way through the crowd to leave.
"Wait you jerk, what're you doing to us? Thanks to you we have a whole mob of haters now!" Kirishima stated yelling at Katsuki as he left.
"Why should I care? I'm heading for the top." He said not looking backward and blending in with the crowd.
"tch- !! So straight-forward! And Manly!" Kirishima said clenching his fists.
"The top.. he's not wrong," Tokoyami said.
"Don't let him play you!! All he is doing is winning us, enemies!" Denki said with a convincing argument.
As only a normal person I made my way through the crowd as well, ignoring Deku's mumbles of trying to start a conversation with me.
The two weeks then began.
The time-stopping ability had grown and I had noticed it along with AllMight and the other teachers. Any normal person would have noticed. I got texts from Deku on how his training was going and it was only right to tell him my improvements as well, though I warned him that once the sports festival begins I will treat him and everyone else as an enemy.
He texted back saying that he would be thinking about that too and to not be weak when the moment comes to fight. For some reason, I could only imagine this in a happy tone.
Turns out I had also gained new abilities, though I don't know how to specify them as they came the more I watched other things around me. The birds flying gave me feathers popping out of my back, it hurt sometimes too.
The sun's beams had only lit my sweat more into a flame, making a burning tundra of being barely able to touch anything and a huge waste of time.
Though I felt light each time I tried activating something, I didn't know what but it just didn't show, it didn't move anything around me not a sign of it actually being an ability. So why could I activate it? I had tested it out and yet nothing showed.
Only the nightmare had risen up countless times again during the training sessions and only at night would it grow until I slept. It was telling me something, telling me to remember it over and over again, forcing it into my mind and I don't know what it meant.
And sometimes it went silent, completely I couldn't hear a word, not the rustling leaves or grass, nothing made a noise. This is happening a lot and I don't know why, I don't think there's any reason for this to be happening, no loud noise nothing.
Although I kept seeing the limits to the abilities that I had gained beforehand, they had grown stronger and probably to their maximum. The few abilities that I had gained so far had also grown stronger but I think with more time they will also grow to their maximum.
The days grew closer as the two weeks reached their end and the hype for the sports festival grew. The tension and sensation of what's to come grew especially after the Villain attack at the U.S.J, it was truly wondering if this thing would go smoothly or terribly.
Then the day before it began came and swindled its way around the corner and drew now surprised when it came. Deku had notified me one last time before the day had ended, wishing best of luck to whoever wins and I did too. It started to get exciting as the time ticked and the minutes passed, the day was coming where heroes were scouting students as they fought each other.
Truly the greatest chance anyone could ever ask for when becoming a hero. The media only got more excited as tickets were bought and who would fight was guessed. Barely, anyone, had any fear of Villains attacking again and the security would grow tighter as the time ticked with each passing hour.
Then was the time I finally went to bed with a full stomach and fear and excitement for the next day ahead. The games that had happened the past years would start once more as the excitement grew within me. I wanted to see some fights where no one would win and everything was destroyed but with teachers and civilians there along with heroes and whomever else, that stood no chance of happening.
Then I had finally fallen asleep, a deep sleep that I had planned ahead of time that let me sleep earlier. Instead of a normal 6,7 or 8 hours, I had slept 10 and the training that had been built up had finally been set in stone. My dream stood quiet as nothing spoke, no dream, no nightmare nothing but smoke.
That was all the dream was nothing at all, only the memories of what had happened during the past two weeks. The fun, hard and funny, nothing stood in my way of winning the next day, nothing but Izuku Midoryia and his gifted quirk. I truly love being in fear especially of one person or multiple when it begins.
Though as I slept It was as if I could see the time ticking with each second and minute, hour and two. The sun had risen when I awoke and the time had skipped a few or so. Nothing drew the winds more than the trees that followed their way and I only did the same as the day of the festival finally came. U.A then to the sports festival arena with all of my classmates all 19 of them.
The tension was now beaming with fear and anxiousness as the crowd wandered in and took their seats. Nothing, until the first announcement was made, did we finally take a step outside our room.
